"Whether to play eight or nine (conference games), changing the championship game and the divisions — we'll look at all that," commissioner George Kliavkoff told the Hotline recently.

Starting in 2024, the Pac-12 will be pursuing berths in a 12-team playoff — not the four-team event that has proved so elusive for the conference.

The mammoth change to the playoff, announced in September, will force the Pac-12 to reconsider the strategic adjustments made last spring and several that were under discussion for future years.

Changes for the 2022 season were announced before the playoff expanded.

With the expanded college football playoffs and the perception of the remaining teams, I think it might be beneficial to play more conference games.

Perhaps eliminate the conference championship game because it seems to do more harm than good for team’s playoff aspirations? They are only good for the $$$.

Adopt the SEC model, whatever that is.

There's nothing that solves playoff berths better than  having championship caliber football teams.

I'd prefer to stay at ten teams and play the nine other conference members every year (the old Pac-10 arrangement).
