Seems like a lateral move to me at best.  Go to the NFL and be "just" and offensive line coach on a Pats team whose best days are behind them or stay with Oregon with multiple job titles and fielding some of the best OLs in the country.

But you don't have to recruit at the NFL level and recruiting is absolutely brutal on the work-life balance.

True. But toiling in mediocrity or even bad performance for years also has a toll on the psyche.
