  2. Then keep the Rose Bowl on January 1, but offer its semi-final rotation status to another venue such as Vegas or Fiesta Bowl x 2. If the Rose won't/can't offer itself for a semi-final, then that screws teams in the West who qualify for a semi-final that instead will require fans to travel to Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas....

  4. Having the Rose Bowl on any other day besides January 1st is criminal IMO. Barely one of the last college football traditions that still exist, even though the matchups are different.
  5. An interesting question with this news. Will IU's OOC schedule be ridiculed again this year since they play Howard? Honestly I didn't even know Howard had a football team. I have no idea if there is a friend, ex assistant or a connection of some sort to Cignetti for them to play Howard. Sometimes there is a connection like that even in basketball. Cignetti said yesterday when ask by Urban Meyer on a podcast about his OOC ... "I play who the AD tells me to play". So with this DL from Howard coming to Oregon, will IU's OOCs now be more legit?
  6. After watching the 2 hour show on the BTN about signing day yesterday ... I had to go out to my garage to get my hip wadders when Lincoln Riley showed up on the tv. I put the remote on pause while I did that. UCS #1 recruiting class??? Overall, the B10 is going to be brutal again next year. IMO there might even be a 2-loss team make the B10 championship game. Luckily the $EC playing 9 games MIGHT help some in the non-$EC CFP teams but that will also be an annual battle of the bias media. Really only 11 CFP spots available with the "automatic bid" to the Irish in rewarding them for their weak schedule. Should be some exciting football games. Look for last seasons's losing teams to play better due to their coaching hires. All those new hires seem to be better than those they are placing. I also had to put the wadders back on this morning while watching Chip Kelly's interview yesterday from Northwestern. Sorry, Kelly fans.
  7. Since the photo shows IU I guess I will reply with some updates as of yesterday. For the 3rd class in a row the Cignetti's number of Transfer Portal players has decreased each year. He is done for the year. He was asked yesterday about 4 and 5 star players now wanting to play at IU. Curt Cignetti expressed that while the influx of 4 and 5-star recruits is exciting, he remains focused on selecting players who fit the program's culture and work ethic, stating he would turn away talent if their commitment isn't there. He emphasized that the core values of improving daily and maintaining the right fit for the team will not change.
  8. I know it's just a small thing but "Indy" just drives me insane at times. 😂 Indy means two things, Indianapolis and the Indy500 Race ... is never associated with IU or Indiana University. Not a slam, nor a joke, just a FYI.
  9. Canes Warning? Warning: This joke should make you choke. And the only difference between the Miami and Notre Dame schedules is that the Irish play a game at BYU. 16. This has to be basically a throw-in favor for Dylan Raiola. Dayton is listed at 6'1" and 205lbs, no way he plays TE.
  17. This amount of talent acquisition in brand new. Oregon has had quality here and there, but not so much of it all at one time. 5 stars, borderline 5 stars, high 4 stars, and former 5 stars via the portal make this a stacked program. But even recently, much of the top line talent has come from the portal. I would like to see more recruits develop and turn into conference all this and all that kind of players.
  18. Here's hoping, the last QB & TE brother tandem turned out pretty well.

  20. Oregon Adds Quarterback Recruit Dayton Raiola As Position Change LoomsThe Oregon Ducks have landed the signature of Buford High School recruit Dayton Raiola, who just so happens to be the brother of Oregon quarterback Dylan Raiola. On National Signing Day, three-star quarterback recruit Dayton Raiola has announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks. Raiola is an uber-talented prospect from the state of Georgia who has been playing high school football with the Buford Wolves, which is one of the better programs in the state of Georgia and the nation when it comes to high school football. While the younger Raiola played quarterback in High School, he will likely switch positions to more of an H-back/tight end in college. 21. Buford (Ga.) quarterback Dayton Raiola has found his college home. The former Nebraska commit, who helped lead Buford to a national championship, has committed to Oregon, joining head coach Dan Lanning and reuniting with his brother, Dylan Raiola, in Eugene. Raiola will make the transition from quarterback to tight end at the next level, a move he has fully embraced. “What I like about Oregon is that it’s a very high-level, elite program,” Raiola told Rivals. “Coming from a program like Buford, everyone is held to a certain standard. That’s where I excel best, and Oregon is very similar — just at the college level. There’s definitely a high standard there.” On3Dayton Raiola commits to Oregon, reunites with brother in...The Raiola family is very close. The brothers will reunite in Eugene. Dylan Raiola transferred, and now Dayton Raiola has committed.

  24. Dan Lanning says Ducks are bringing back a bunch of 'leaders' who have 'a sour taste their mouths' Oregon coach Dan Lanning believes the 2026 team will bring the right combination of leadership and mentality to the fall
  25. I was thinking Oregon's defense having a Devon Jackson at LB and a Devin Jackson at S would be tricky for announcing, and they go and top that with two Anthony Joneses. I think former Duck Anthony Jones (now also a DL) still has one year left at UCLA. So, there apparently was a non-zero shot of having 3 Anthony Joneses on the Duck DL in the same season. Then I remembered USC recently added an assistant coach from TCU named Anthony Jones... and then it was just time to stop. 🙂
  26. Oregon coach Dan Lanning outlined the decision behind promoting Drew Mehringer and Chris Hampton to offensive and defensive coordinator respectively. "Everybody wants an opportunity to advance, and we don't hand them out," Lanning explained on the school's February Signing Day Show. "It's the work that you see every day. I've seen coach Mehringer gameplan for four years here. I've seen coach Hampton and the impact he's made on our team in the last three years.
  27. Marshall Malchow on Oregon’s roster stability, recruiting timeline, and retention success Oregon Chief of Staff Marshall Malchow explains the Ducks’ recruiting foundation, roster stability, retention success, and long-term strategy in the portal era.
