Oregon Baseball vs. Michigan on B1G+...Right NOW
6-0 Michigan after three innings. Nothing on offense. Will Sanford lost control today and was replaced with two outs gone. He plinked a batter, and walked three, as a grounder scored one. Then he gave up a base hit that scored two. Then Tanner Bradley gives up a hit that scores two...

Oregon Baseball vs. Michigan on B1G+...Right NOW
0-0 after one inning. Ducks left one stranded on base. Will Sanford got it done...1-2-3 this inning. We have a grey day in Ann Arbor, so Oregon should feel right at home. The stadium is empty, almost nobody there, so home field advantage is negated today! We have Shane Brenim of the Wolverines with a 6.61 ERA vs. Oregon's Will Sanford with a 1.24 ERA will counter.

Sending Out a B1G SOS
College Football News (CFN) ranks the Big Ten's 2026 Schedules - No. 1 being the most difficult and No. 18 the easiest. In this ranking, Ohio State's schedule is ranked as the 6th most difficult. Poor Doo comes in at No. 1. OBD's schedule is ranked the 2nd hardest in the Big Ten. IMO, OBD's schedule definitely belongs in the top 4. The Ducks Wire article that said the Oregon schedule in 2026 is easy? The author needs to go to his room without dinner. The game at Illinois is made more difficult by the Illini having a bye before playing Oregon, and Oregon playing Nebraska the week before traveling to Champaign. The November finish to the schedule is hard and made harder by having to make two trips to the Eastern time. 11/7 - At Ohio State / 11/14 - Michigan / 11/21 at Michigan State 11/28 UW - Prepare for snow in East Lansing on 11/21. And also prepare to play three teams that will likely be in the Playoff Committee's Top 25. The game against UW will be the eighth straight Big Ten Game without a break. https://collegefootballnews.com/college-football/big-ten-football-strength-of-schedule-rankings-2026-spring

Big Ten Has Stolen SEC Mojo, and Isn't About to Give it Back
Again, I caution: Not So Fast! There are darn good athletes in Dixie. Florida won the NCAA Tourney last season. 2026 BIG Info, Predictions, Etc.
USC's 2026 schedule hits the 2025 Playoff Trifecta - Home games vs. Oregon and Ohio State - On the road vs. Indiana - With Notre Dame off the schedule, and three out-of-conference cupcake chomps, SC will start 3-0 before the Oregon game. The road game against Penn State is likely to be a White Out. At Wisconsin is a tricky game, and UCLA is rarely an easy out. SC has the chance to finish the season with impressive wins and a place in the playoffs, or this could be Linc's last stand. In which case, cue the Portal. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2026/04/02/usc-football-big-ten-preseason-rankings-intriguing-question/89355427007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=e

Oregon Moves Up to No. 15 in the Nation with Interesting D1Baseball Comments...
I think this team actually has more potential since it looks like right now there is a bit more depth in pitching, we aren't seeing as many wild scores, the offense isn't quite what it's been in the past, but it isn't inept either. Not as dependent on the long ball. I really hope we can win some of those series against the ranked teams so that we might have the chance to host.

Duck Sports Central: "Take Two Tuesday" and "Thursday Round-Up"
Flock Talk: Somewhere in the MiddleOne of the positions that we all thought Dan Lanning and his staff would be able to land elite recruits was middle linebacker. That felt obvious. Lanning’s reputation was built at the position. He coached linebackers at Georgia. He coordinated defenses that turned second-level players into first-rounders. If there was a room at Oregon that seemed destined to become a five-star magnet overnight, it was inside linebacker. And yet, cycle after cycle, the Ducks have shown a consistent restraint. They recruit the position. They develop it. But they do not appear eager to enter the highest-dollar bidding wars for the consensus No. 1 middle linebacker in America. Even when the rankings suggest the player is transformative. Even when the narrative says he is a culture-setter. At first glance, that feels counterintuitive. But sometimes the most revealing thing in roster construction is not who you land. It is where you are willing to spend. With that in mind, I started looking for something more concrete than recruiting chatter. I looked for financial evidence. And the only place where we have real positional pricing data is the NFL. What I found was not dramatic. It was clarifying. It's a B1G Final 4 -
Issac Trotter of CBS Sports sees an all-Big Ten final on Monday night, but Saturday's games will both be close. A terrific look at the four teams, position by position. Guard play still matters a lot, but CBB at the top is a game of Tall Ball and rebounding. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/final-four-2026-breakdown-illinois-uconn-michigan-arizona/

Big Ten Helped Oregon Brand
"...now unlocking the East Coast..." For many people in the Central and Eastern Time Zones, Oregon might as well be Liechtenstein. They've heard of it. Seen photos of it. But, there remains a general lack of understanding about it. Applies somewhat to Washington as well. The Ducks probably remain "lucky" they got into the Big Ten, because there certainly was no ground swell among the fans of the Big's legacy programs to ask for it. It is going to be a long road of continuing to "earn respect" to overcome the negativity. IF, USC had immediately been successful it would likely be even more difficult to overcome the USC plus 3 that would have been a commonplace attitude. Oregon has to get better in basketball, and sustain a formidable position in football.

Big Ten Helped Oregon Brand
Watched it earlier today. It's interesting as the Ducks have been solid in viewer numbers but now unlocking the East Coast via the B1G has done a lot for us. Additionally, it didn't hurt to win the conference in year one. USC and Washington are doing ok... But neither program is making waves at the moment. UCLA has been mediocre to bad for so long that it's hard to drum up interest for them. I think they got a bit of a spike this year because they took down Penn State in a shocker. Outside of that they had some moments but nothing too exciting.

Yes, utility. The currently conference alignment is transactional. Like a loveless marriage that stays together because it's too costly to get divorce ... er something like that.
