  2. Thus far, the Big-10 baseball feels like Oregon may have the better team, but we will have to fight and scratch to win the games. (Which is what you want to build your team's resolve) The Wildcats strike as another team like Indiana or Purdue where it is evident they can beat us, but we will prevail if we give our best. (Taking account that the occasional game of not hitting well does happen like the 2-1 Purdue loss) Looking at the Northwestern pitchers--I see some good ERAs with the first two, and this is from those who have pitched the most, and I assume the starters. Today's starters on both sides were not announced yet. The Wildcats have a couple of relievers with good ERAs, along with some poor ones. (It was in the snow, but they did give USC their only loss!) Matt Kouser, ERA of 2.57 Garrett Shearer, ERA of 3.60 Jake Rifenburg, ERA of 5.63 Ryan Weaver, ERA of 8.76 Sam Hliboki, ERA of 11.34 And we know that the ERA is only showing their best day. Last week--Indiana's best pitcher against us had an ERA of over 13 coming into the game! And their relievers who had an ERA below 2.00 is who we were able to score on. It all depends upon that day--as we know. It is possible that the reason for Northwestern being 7-9 is because of their hitting? The Wildcats only have one player hitting over .300, while the Ducks have six over .300 with another at .299 and Maddox Molony at .250 who will be back over .300 before long. The weather will be cloudy with super-low chance of rain...which is the forecast for all three games this weekend. Jack Brooks is projected back in the lineup today!
  3. Hats off to the Oregon Women's basketball team. OREGON 70 - Virginia Tech 60. The next game against Texas in Austin, Texas, may be more difficult. 🙃
  4. Hats off to the Women's CBB Team - Cruising to a win over VA Tech. Next up, Texas in Austin. No one said it would be easy, but does it have to be this hard? 🙃 Final score OBD 70 - VA Tech 60.

  6. Agreed. I know there are some issues relating to the company named in the letter (Charlie Health) and the Oregon Health Authority over the renewal of their COA to operate in Oregon; but, if Dante's experiences help bring more awareness to the bigger issues, it seems like a big plus.
  7. A terrific review of day 1 of the Men's tournament. My thoughts - What in Hades was Wisconsin coach Greg Gard thinking or not thinking? His lack of adjustments on defense was offensive. https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/1107198/march-madness-2026-scores-highlights-odds-ncaa-tournament-vcu-duke-high-point?ueid=66c3ca35924fb3254520a3f8fe2aa9ce&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=e
  8. The Ducks are 17-3 overall and 5-1 in Big Ten play entering the three-game set at PK Park Oregon baseball hosts Northwestern with momentum, growing bullpen and rising freshman Angel Laya
  9. Changes have been made to the targeting rule, and only a 10-yard penalty, not a 15-yard penalty, for offensive pass interference. I get the targeting rule change, but the PI change? Look for an increase in pick plays and push-offs that are infrequently called in CFB. On3NCAA D1 FBS Oversight Committee approves changes to targe...The NCAA D1 FBS oversight committee has approved changes to the targeting penalty, the group announced Thursday.
  10. A big issue with mental health is the people that truly are in need of help many times don’t believe they have a problem. Unfortunately, it hits close to home for me. I have a nephew that is an adult and chooses not to seek help. He is delusional without medication, and can be a threat to others. Our family has petitioned the court for involuntary commitment. The mental health system can only hold an adult for a relatively short time…3 to 180 days. They are then released, and the process just repeats itself. I applaud anybody that advocates for this cause.
  11. Thank you, Don, for the great article, and hats off for winning the tournament. (I would have missed the putt 🤬) UCLA's Lauren Betts, the Big Ten's Women's Basketball Player of the Year, is another athlete who had the courage to speak up about her depression, which led to a stay in the UCLA hospital. I'm also glad you called out (un)social media, where cowards hide behind keyboards. Always great to see your articles up on the Forum. Keep on swinging!
  12. ⬆️. So if you Wisconsin you Never want to be the 5 seed...lol. As for Oregon, we shall let that "dog" lay until next season. Quack.
  13. Great article Don! I so welcome guest articles like this to remind us of the "good" happening with our football team. So brave of Dante, and it is inspiring other athletes to come forward as well.

Oregon Ducks On SIPerfect NFL Fit for Oregon Ducks Cornerback Jadon CanadyThe Oregon Ducks are loaded with talent heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, with a wave of starters expected to hear their names called after standout college care
  16. I trust I speak for most of us here in support of Oregon QB Dante Moore’s willingness to share publicly his experience transitioning from Five-Star recruit to D-1 college football. Moore briefly chronicled his journey in a letter to Oregon Gov Tina Kotek where he urged the Governor to consider providing more funding for mental health services. I have always ... Indeed, HELMETS OFF to Dante Moore!

  21. Since 1985, there have been 58 times that the #12 seed has defeated the #5 seed. Here are a few examples. 2026 #12 High Point 83 #5 WISCONSIN 82 2024 #12 James Madison 72 #5 WISCONSIN 61 2019 #12 Oregon 72 #5 WISCONSIN 54 2013 #12 Ole Miss 57 #5 WISCONSIN 46 2009 #12 WISCONSIN 61 #5 Florida State 59 (OT) 2013 #12 Oregon 68 #5 Oklahoma State 55
  22. Perhaps this is the reason for the B1G coming up small in the tourney? 9 TCU 66 - 8 Ohio State 64 12 Highpoint 83 - 5 Wisconsin 82 - Lots of Ole' defense. We do have a winner! 4. Nebraska 76 - 13 Troy 47.
  23. The CS President's folded far too early. A state court judge's ruling should have been moved to federal court and appealed.
  24. Yes, they won a few short term accounting battles and turned it into absolutely nothing. Classic lotto winner tale.
  25. I couldn't care less about anything that has to do with the "Pac Dead-To-Me".
  26. The WSU Board granted $20 million earlier this month (March 2026) to WSU athletics, while the Oregon Legislature granted $10M to OSU athletics in March 2024. But, little has been revealed about how OSU and WSU are using the bag they got from the December 2023 Judge Libey decision. Would like to see more transparency from both institutions on that.
  27. Well, if anyone is still wondering why the organization is still called the Pac12, instead of the Pac8, Pac9, the Pac, the Best of the Rest, etc. the NCAA unit payments on the books to the Pac12 is the answer.
