In today’s world of College Football (CFB), there are more preseason rankings than there are attempts to solve for Pi. Mathematicians tell us that Pi cannot be solved; similarly, preseason rankings will never be spot on especially when we are referring to SEC teams. Yet, our Mr. FishDuck had to take a break from his gaming study at PA sportsbook ... Read More Source Read the full article here...

I think a unified west coast conference would have provided a lot more leverage and created the unquestioned #1 G6. Instead they have fractured tv deals and an old name to cling to. BSU and SDSU could have had all the leverage and gave it away. What were the PIG2 options going to be if the MWC had stayed fully together? They would have had no choice but to merge or go independent. It’s as if they thought they were getting an auto qualifier out of this move.

"New Look" Pac-12: Are They Delusional, or Just Stupid?
David Marsh replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think the new Pac offers more opportunities for them in football. They probably didn't switch conferences if they weren't going to get something out of it. They weren't going to make it to a P2 (B1G and SEC) conference or even a lesser power conference (ACC and Big 12). But if the new Pac were willing to carve out something special for them then I could see it being worth it. -
First Round Buzz Building for Thieneman

Odd article that may have been AI generated as it proclaims NFL 2025 stats for former Duck portal players taken in the first round: Bo Nix and Derrick Harmon. Harmon has yet to play an NFL snap. -

If a hard hitting safety drops receivers to the ground like trees in a forest but nobody's there to see it does he make first team All-American and get picked in the first round of the NFL Draft, Not at Purdue. but he very likely will playing at Oregon. First-round buzz already beginning for Dan Lanning's top transfer portal addition as Oregon Ducks revamp its defense for 2025

It’s all silly. No one outside of their footprint takes this conference seriously. It’s just another G6, perhaps top-2 G6, but still G6. The biggest suckers in this are probably BSU and SDSU. Somehow all their past desires to join the real PAC the last 20 years blinded them into joining. They could have accomplished more (without the legal fees) by staying put, which would have pressured the PIG2 to merge.

I wouldn't mind seeing the 14J formation make a return to Oregon. This jumbo formation was super cool. Oregon Football is The Embodiment of Modern Physicality | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM As Oregon fans, we heard all about physicality from former HC Mario Cristobal over the last four years... Iheanacho may not be a starter as a freshman but I'm sure the coaches will get him involved regardless.

"New Look" Pac-12: Are They Delusional, or Just Stupid?
David Marsh replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
But without... Everyone else... That's a stretch. I'm sure they'll keep the "Conference of Champions" slogan too just because the conference existed when all those championships were won by those teams. So the conference won all those national championships right? -
If the name below from Idaho sounds familiar, it is the younger brother of Gatlin Bair, who is on a mission until this next January. It was a fierce recruiting battle with Michigan to get the fastest receiver in the nation to sign with the Ducks in February of 2024. But the question always was..."would it stick?" I think we have our answer! Pretty good genes, as Gatlin Bair has been called the "fastest man in pads" with his verified 10.15 100-meter time.

He is truly a 5-Star, even on Rivals. He was offered by 11 B1G teams, and 11 SEC teams, with the usual teams in the mix as there was Oregon, Texas, Michigan, USC, Penn State, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and Miami. Iheanacho could be another Josh Conerly Jr. type of foundation player, who could be a future 1st Round NFL pick if he works hard as Conerly did. Immanuel Iheanacho Interests WWW.ON3.COM

A quote from today's Canzano article made me roll-my-eyes at first, but then I could not help but laugh. Are they taking lessons from Iran's Ayatollah, or Baghdad Bob? The conference’s overall strategy is evident. It aims to keep the Big 12 and ACC within view of the front windshield and prepare for whatever happens to college athletics in 2032 or so. Recent Pac-12 branding has been all about positioning. On Wednesday, Gould noted that “the Pac-12 has always been a top-five conference.” "We will be the Mother-of-All-Conferences."
