It's OFFICIAL: Oregon is Truly a Big-10 Team...
You have your opinions....and I have mine. I am not going to play the "show-me" game; others have noticed before I did, and your Minnesota comment was accurate, but shockingly negative considering the tough, gritty win the Ducks just had. Perhaps saving that for later in the week when we are preparing for the Golden Gophers? But writing it immediately after a great win seems....excessively negative....as I wrote. But we can disagree....no sweat.

It's OFFICIAL: Oregon is Truly a Big-10 Team...
I know most people would just leave this site after receiving a response like this, but I’m not one to back down. If you can’t back this post up with examples then I officially call you out for being full of steer excrement (I’m being very polite). I provide accurate analysis. I rarely throw out opinions that aren’t backed up with fact. Hell, I was dead accurate about my analysis of today’s game. Oh, and BTW, I didn’t make one remark during the Oregon v Iowa Discussion Thread. We won by 2 points. A safety caused by a punter’s mistake.

It's OFFICIAL: Oregon is Truly a Big-10 Team...
"A TE who will be drafted in the 1st round, as well as OBD's best WR, who will also go early in the NFL draft, were not able to suit up. Another receiver who will be drafted in April left the game in the first series on offense." And, another WR who has missed most of the season, and one who did miss. Kenyon Sadiq, Dakorien Moore, Gary Bryant Jr., Evan Stewart, Kyler Kasper. Also out, freshman Jack Ressler. Harkey being out wasn't great for depth either. 3 guys who normally start missing. Ducks met the gut check scenario.

Never a DOUBT....Right?
That play was a great call and would have been a TD had Moore escaped Iuli's foot sweep. WS set it up with the serial runs. Saleapaga had done a feign block then go route towards the post. The DB had bit on the run fake, leaving #83 wide open. Saw it work a couple times last year with TFerg, but not with the QB under center. Everyone has those moments of doubt given the somewhat erratic nature of the offense and QB play this year..In this game Oregon was missing a starting WR, TE and RT, then lost another WR. To see Moore overcome that was a huge positive, particularly during the game winning drive. I'm going to call that glass half full

I believe these numbers are correct. W-L vs B1G teams on their home fields in the Central and Eastern time zones. 7-0 - Oregon (plus 1 more for last year's B1G Championship game) 3-3 - UCLA (plus will visit OSU this season) 2-4 - USC (why will they have 6 trips instead of 7 in two seasons?) 1-6 - Mighty Fisch Fighters Read the UW boards tonight and there are a bunch of ticked off Dawg fans based on that 1-6 number.

It's OFFICIAL: Oregon is Truly a Big-10 Team...
What OBD and Moore didn't do? 🤪 When it mattered, Moore led a game-winning drive, including a terrific throw to a blanketed wide receiver. And OBD's FG kicker in a pressure situation and in terrible weather came through. In November, Iowa, under Kirk Ferentz, was 5-1 in Kinnick Stadium against top 10 teams. Kirk and the Hawkeyes are now 5-2 in November versus top 10 teams. With a reshuffled O-line, OBD rushed for 261 yards. Iowa rushed for 140. The passing game was not there until it mattered tonight. A TE who will be drafted in the 1st round, as well as OBD's best WR, who will also go early in the NFL draft, were not able to suit up. Another receiver who will be drafted in April left the game in the first series on offense. OBD won both LOS, playing in the kind of weather the Hawkeyes wished for. Playing the kind of bully-ball Iowa is known for. THIS was a terrific win for the Oregon coaches and players. A game that many an 'expert' predicted OBD would lose. 8-1 with the loss coming against the PO Committee's 2nd-ranked team. Win out and host a 1st round PO game? Are You Not Entertained!

Crazy Coaching Carousel Could Seriously Affect Ducks
Fisch is 90% gone even before this afternoon's game. His wife moved to Arizona, Scottsdale I believe. The family doesn't like Seattle. They want a comfortable life in the sun, so UCLA makes sense. I'd be fairly surprised if Florida isn't able to get Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss. They'll just have to wait a while since Ole Miss is going to make the Playoffs.

Dr. Jack…you feel entitled to go out of your way to point out the negative, and you can do that here. But I am also free to point out your posting patterns, and I am not the only one to notice. This started with you writing how you did not want to be “Debbie Downer,” in another thread, but your posting history says otherwise, and the post I am referring to is “Exhibit A.”

Dr. Jack, I am not the only person to notice the extreme number of negative posts that you put out. It is not a revelation considering what I’ve written in the past, but I do not like it when people are excessively negative the majority of the time. (Especially with all the winning we do) I have been notified by moderators in the past, and even jokes have been made about predictions of what negative things you will write. They are right more often than not, and I have not brought it up until now. If you stand by your record, then it isn’t being berated, it is being recognized and stated for what you write. I have written hundreds of times, that negative is part of the total picture, and I have stated negative often, thus I do not oppose other people doing the same. But some people, and you are not the only one, like to really focus on the negative. You write a ton of other great posts that I enjoy, but when you write that you hate to bring up negative…we both know that is not true. You love it, and like a couple other people here, you love to just roll in it. Own it.

Whew! Ducks Beat Rice 67-63...Barely
Not very many 3 PT attempts are coming from good execution a set play. There were a lot of 3’s that were bad misses as well. The lack of offensive rhythm and cohesion is a major concern right now. Last year’s team seemed to play well together early but fell into a prolonged slump mid-season. Hopefully we’ll see a more connected team in early January this season.

It doesn't matter. Captain Dan and Ex-O Dante will torpedo Fleck's leaky rowboat. But will SC defeat Iowa? With UW getting Badgered and battered in Madison, we need to fight on for SC for one more week. 🤬

It's OFFICIAL: Oregon is Truly a Big-10 Team...
Nine games into the season and I'm wondering where the Ducks scoring offense has gone. Iowa played tough and had more passing yards. That's right, run first Iowa had more passing yards. Our Offense is struggling to put points on the board. Hats off to Atticus who made the difference with three good kicks, especially that last one. Our Defense on Iowa's last drive was especially concerning, with a wide open receiver prancing right down the middle of the field for a big gainer and a touchdown play that screamed "Watch out for the QB!" who walked in for an easy score. With the exception of some flashes that belong on a highlights reel, the Ducks just don't look like they are playing up to the level of their talent. Something is not working.

Oregon - Iowa Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
7 major takeaways from Oregon Ducks' gutsy 18-16 win over Iowa Hawkeyes In hindsight, nobody could have blamed the Oregon Ducks for losing this game. It would have been frustrating, for sure, as they were the more talented team with the higher expectations, but with everything stacked against them, it was a losable game, to say the least.
