  4. Oregon football opens as massive favorite on the road at Northwestern for week threeIn the early release of the Ducks' week three road matchup against Northwestern, FanDuel has released their early betting odds, and the Ducks are 28.5-point road favorites. The Ducks hit the road for the first road game of the season and the Ducks are viewed as a massive favorite in the eyes of sportsbooks.
  5. We invite you to always explore the “News” on the menu bar in the header. When you click on the word “News,” you will see an index of multiple links to sports news sites for your enjoyment! From now on, except for a very few circumstances, our threads will be just one page. Advertising only appears on the first page and we want to make as much money as possible for the site. The bonus in doing this is that it will be easier for everyone to move around the thread. This Thread is for News Articles ONLY. You can always start a new thread with any of these articles for discussion
  6. Nah, OK State doesn't have the money to change the conference logo on the unis. 🙃
  7. Oregon State has some serious issues. Bray is making the Helfrich era look Sabanesque! 👀
  8. Thank you, Steven, for all of the great 'day-after' posts. These rankings are an example of why playing a ranked opponent OOC may not be a good idea. Michigan, with a true freshman QB, goes on the road to play the AP's No. 16 team, does not get blown out by a team with the portal's No. 1-ranked QB, and drops two spots from No. 7 to 9th. Drops behind UW and Nebraska teams that have played easier schedules to date. I know this is just for grins 😁but we saw the same from the PO Committee last season that had a team with an SOS in the mid-80s ranked the ninth best in the nation. Michigan has one of the easiest in-conference schedules. The Wolverines will not have Sherrone Moore with them in Week 4 when they play at Nebraska, but win this game and 10-2 is doable.
  9. The no. 2 OL looked really good. I think there is a lot for confidence in Pickard as the backup. Last year he got Doug Brennered because the coaches threw him in at center and put him in a situation he wasn't ready for. Last year the coaches were clearly scrambling to out an offensive line together and they found a combo. This year they have layers of options. I also think it doesn't hurt to have a right handed quarterback again and having a normal blind side. At the start of last season the right side was the weak side and it was made worse by being Gabriel's blind side. He just didn't always see the pressures coming.
  10. It’s not just the OL blocking great. The skill position players are getting after it as well.

  12. Doctor, Doctor! For Pawaalll's sake, someone call the Programming Doctor. 🤪
  13. Indeed. The FIU, Who Knew!, defense held up well late into yesterday's game against the Nits rushing attack. Of course, this game was a Snooze Out and not a White Out. This will be OBD's D 3rd game vs. DC Jim Knowles. OBD is 1-1. Many solid players on the D side of the ball for Penn State, but Caleb Downs is not one of them. The Ducks have the weapons to win a shootout. No doubt, Week 5 will be a B1G test.
  14. Article coming out tomorrow that looks at our depth. We have some INSANE depth this year. Though I don't not want to see any injuries we have the depth to take a few hits.
  15. We each can do that with the dashboard at the top of each post. The "T" with the up/down arrows, when clicked on gives you the option to increase the size of text that you have highlighted. It helps until we get the font size changed...
  16. Legit concern. I'm looking to see a bit more from those guys. Oregon is not in the top 10 in rushing or passing defense, and barely top 10 in scoring defense... against poorer competition. We are sitting at 46th nationally for sacks. 75th in tfl's...
  17. I will say this, The Ducks first 2 games have been astounding. The total package of the Offense incl blocking and pass protection is awesome.
  18. My main concern at this time is the inside D-line. Can they hold up to a rush attack from Penn State?
  19. Is Dan Lanning’s ‘Set the Standard’ Mentality the Difference Maker in 69-3 Blowout against Oklahoma?Oregon’s 69-3 demolition of Oklahoma State on Saturday was not just another win. It reflected head coach Dan Lanning’s message, which continues to define the program. Is Dan Lanning’s ‘Set the Standard’ Mentality the Differe...Dan Lanning’s “set the standard” mantra fueled Oregon’s 69-3 thrashing of Oklahoma State, as 28 different Ducks made tackles and the offense racked up 631 yards.
  20. Yeah.... this'll be a 'wait and see' thing for me. (as I frantically knock on every bit of wood I can find) This years team looks the part... but here's the thing - so did last years team.
  21. I was just watching highlights, thinking of past teams, & thinking "hmm, we may actually have all the ingredients this year, barring injury..."
  22. Fundamentals are off the charts so far this season... and the best part? There's still room to grow!! I'm super excited to see the progress of this hungry team! 🦆 Side note, why am I seeing some posts in super large text? Is it my side?
  23. Ducks jumped Penn St. Let's hope that happens again on 9/27 Big Ten Week 2 power rankings: Ducks threatens Buckeyes at the top
  24. Let's hope they got it right this time. Oregon Ducks take over as championship favorites, per ESPN FPI
  25. Reacting to Oregon's record-breaking obliteration of Ok State on the Autzen Audibles podcast
  26. I always thought he had good short area quickness, but have been surprised with his top speed. He's also improved tremendously in his understanding of spacing and calculating the optimal path.
  27. Again, with the 28.5. When will the oddsmakers learn? Oregon football opens as massive favorite on the road at Northwestern for week three
