Oregon Football: 3 Things We Learned in the Orange Bowl
Alex, solid article about the 3 things we learned about OBD's from the TT game. IMHO, the Ducks are underestimated because they have shown this season thru 14 games that you don't know what they will bring each game. Some games, good defenses slowed down or confused the Duck O. Other games the Duck D would go stretches where they couldn't get off the field. An outside onlooker might ask; how could a great team need a last second field goal to beat Iowa, or how could the Ducks only score 21 points against Whisky.? Or play so poorly, at home against Indiana? Remember, only the SEC teams were allowed close wins or even losses to rise in the rankings...... To this Duck fan, a homer fan, I never saw OBD's take a good or great team to the woodshed for a thrashing. Except yesterday! The Defense was so dominant and the Offense fought thru a great front 7 and their own self-inflicted wounds to win. That was as big a win as any Duck team has ever had. Indiana will not be so forgiving of the careless and sloppy play from OBD's offense. It may take 40 or more points to beat IU even with another spectacular effort from the Duck D. TT was a very good team but IU is a great team. Proof, they carry the Duck scalp on their belt. Both teams have improved since the first game. However, the Ducks must play clean, mistake free football in all 3 phases to win. Or OBD's D can just pitch another shutout...... This Duck fan is proud of the staff and players for overcoming that loss, winning 8 games in a row and getting their shot at redemption. Go Ducks! It is all out their for the taking.

Georgia vs Ole Miss Quarterfinal Discussion
Who could've predicted the State of college football , just six years ago?. If I told you that Indiana, and Ole Miss, were two wins away from winning a national championship. The head coaches of these teams would be a guy who didn't get a head coaching gig in the FBS, until he was in his sixties. The other would be a guy who was only two games into being a head coach. Would anybody believe that? Crazy times.

Oregon Football: 3 Things We Learned in the Orange Bowl
Our Oregon football program had a stunning performance on New Year’s Day, blanking Texas Tech’s high-flying offense 23-0. The Ducks did struggle with what I believe to be the best front seven in the College Football Playoff, but they made enough plays to polish off a complete demolition of the Big 12’s best. Now, Oregon looks ahead to next Friday ... Oregon Football: 3 Things We Learned in the Orange Bowl

Drake T(r)oll Doesn't Back Down
Remember the clown that Charles pointed out earlier this week? Well, he evidently hasn't learned his lesson, or he's proven he is truly missing the r in his last name. Indiana proved that the bye doesn't matter, as long as you are heads & shoulders ahead of your opponent. Which this guy was saying Texas Tech was. But Texas Tech got blanked, they were the worst team in the quarters. Alabama won a road playoff game, and had top ten wins. Tech beat nobody, outside of Utah, or BYU. But this guy says Tech only lost because of the layoff. I was hoping he'd show a grain of sense, but I lost brain cells checking up on this guy again. I had forgotten about his nonsense until I saw the Tech thread.

Miami is the Only True ‘Blue Blood’ Left Standing
I wish Georgia won their game but in all honesty, I'm kinda digging the "March Madness" vibe that's starting to form with this extended playoff.

OBD Opens as a Slight Under-Duck vs. Indiana
The self-inflicted wounds did stop what few chances they had to get in rhythm. Botched handoff, multiple bad snaps, etc. Those definitely need to be fixed over the next few days.

OBD Opens as a Slight Under-Duck vs. Indiana
TT defense is legit probably the best defense in college football. Oregon has found running room against many other good rush defenses, including Indiana who we let off the run when we shouldn't have. But we had nothing against TT all day.

Miami is the Only True ‘Blue Blood’ Left Standing
For those of us who can remember 2002, when OBD was royally screwed, and before, the Canes are blue-blooded. Hats off to the Canes and Mario for being the lowest-seeded team to win a PO game. Can the Canes D shut down a better O than O-H-I-O's in the Fiesta Bowl? The pressure will be on Miami, a team battling to play a champ game on its home field. Ole Miss is playing loose and with LSU's money in the effort to kick the Kiff out of Lane. I feel bad for our Georgia friends, but the love poured out on UGA for beating Bama in a rematch was pure recency and brand bias for anyone who could recall the previous game vs Georgia Tech and/or noted Bama's season-long inability to run the football. Cig just keeps on burying brand-name teams. A team without a Blue Chip Roster is looking to break the Blue Chip ceiling and is odds-on to do so. HOSE THE HOOSIERS!

and I kinda feel like they are going to pull it off right now. But then again I felt like Oregon was going to completely embarrass themselves today in the Orange Bowl but we didn't so who knows.

lol…they seem to be defying gravity. You expect them to take a hard fall, and they keep kicking the crud out of everyone.
