GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Penn State on B1G+....NOW
5-0 Ducks after six innings. Miles Gosztola was back and after giving up a walk--he generated a grounder that turned into a sweet double-play! Then he finished the inning with a strikeout. He has 78 pitches...will we see him in the 7th? Burke-Lee Mabeus just destroyed a pitch and sent it over the RF wall for his second homer of the weekend.

4-0 Ducks after five innings. Geez...Miles Gosztola is feeling it--more with another 1-2-3 dispatch of 'Lion batters. Drew Smith hit a double into the RF corner with two outs, and then Angel Laya hit opposite to LF (again) with a liner that went deep enough to score Smith from second. Finally! A timely hit!

New Construction Update Shows Oregon’s Massive New Facility Rising Fast
Question - missing from the original drawings is the structure with the curved facade to the left of the domed practice facility shown in the latest construction photos. Assuming that view is of the west end, does anyone know what that add-on is about?

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Penn State on B1G+....NOW
3-0 Ducks after four innings. Oregon's Miles Gosztola made short work of the batters again. Great to see... Drew Smith got the scoring started with a dinger into the PSU bullpen. Angel Laya hits opposite field again (to LF), while Maddox Molony walks. Burke-Lee Mabeus hits a missile to RF that bounces off the wall, and sends Laya home to score and Molony to 3rd from first. Naulivou Lauaki hits a deep sacrifice fly to RF to score Molony, and we stranded a runner on third.

GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
As a rule, the only spring games that leave you impressed with the OL is when you have five returning starters that have been together for a minimum of two years. Otherwise, it’s just feast time for unleashed D linemen. When it didn’t matter because no one else but us were paying any attention to Oregon spring games, coaches could open up the play book. With all eyes onboard, boring has become the new normal. Can’t ever remember feeling this good about our QB room - top to bottom - nor its promise for the future. Portal can change all that in the time it takes to write a check ( or tap a transfer), but right now - wow

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Penn State on B1G+....NOW
0-0 after three innings. Oregon's Miles Gosztola is feeling it, as he put the 'Lions down 1-2-3. It's a good thing, as this freshman pitcher we are facing is pitching lights-out against us.

0-0 after two innings. Miles Gosztola got two strikeouts, and gave up a hit, but Burke-Lee Mabeus threw a perfect strike to second to allow Ryan Cooney to apply the tag easily for the third out. Oregon stranded a runner on third...

0-0 after one inning. Oregon's Miles Gosztola gave up a couple of hits and had runners on first and third, but then got three straight outs to preserve the inning. We have some defensive changes, as I imagine Jax Gimenez is hurt, as Elijah Cook replaces him at LF. On 1st base, we have Brayden Jaksa instead of Dominic Hellman or Gabe Miranda. With Jaksa's hot bat lately--that makes sense. On offense....the Ducks strand two on base.

Quack Quack! 4-star Philly LB Brandon Lockley Jr. is a Duck!
Oregon picks up 2027 commitment from 4-star Philly LOregon’s 2027 class is just outside the top 5 nationally. On Sunday, it received some good news from one of the top linebackers in the class. Brandon Lockley Jr., from St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, has committed to Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Lockley revealed his pledge to Oregon to On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Sunday. He becomes Lanning’s second LB commit of the class, joining Salt Lake City’s Sam Ngata. GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
Felt the size and athleticism of Moore, Raiola, Smith with run/pass option plays on the perimeter could create 2026 problems for opposing defenses. Not so much from Thomas. Line play difficult to make a judgement with players split between two squads. If the "official attendance" was 46,500 that surpasses any other Spring Game this season. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/ohio-state-oklahoma-spring-game-043637822.html

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Penn State on B1G+....NOW
Today we have Oregon's Miles Gosztola on the hill, (4.85 ERA) vs the 'Lions Isaiah Shayter at a 12.48 ERA. Again...the last two starting pitcher for Penn State had ERAs of 7.00 and over 8.00 but they pitched GREAT against us. I expect the same today... The rumor is that Cal Scolari was injured, and Gosztola was replacing him on Sundays, but that may not be the case today. We play Gosztola's old team in a mid-week game, Gonzaga, and if anyone would know his pitching--they do. Smart to play him today, and Scolari during the week if available. Let's break out the bats today! Miles Gosztola

GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
I quickly went over the game on YouTube. I don't think we really got to see the defense. But I do think the secondary is going to be special. The Elite WRs will challenge them (osu2 comes to mind). I think this will be as good a defense as my favorite (and what I consider the best defense), Mario's 2019 unit. If the LBs play as well as they did yesterday, we might have a very special unit. Brock Thomas can start for anybody. He is even better than last year. He now can connect with the elite WRs downfield. Raiola is the real deal also. Smith Jr. is still struggling. No matter. We have the best QB room in the nation by far. It isn't even close. We'll have to see about the OL. Moore is going to need a strong unit-that is vital. I believe the other QBs have a better sense of timing and rhythm than Moore and I am concerned about his effectiveness overall. I hope he proves me wrong. I just see too much hesitation, and he seems to have reached his ceiling. I don't feel that way about Raiola and Thomas. Overall, this is probably Oregon's most talented team ever. Like any year, there are weaknesses. But this group is so talented, it can overcome those weaknesses and stir up trouble for any other elite team. It's great to be a Duck.

Prepare for a B1G NFL Draft
Thank you, Another OD. A few more takes on the draft. - 18 of the top 100 players taken transferred from the G6 to the P4. - 5 years since Riley took over at SC and since Dan Lanning took over at Oregon. Riley - 17 draft picks, 5 linemen. Dan - 24 draft picks, 12 linemen. - Recency Bias? The SEC sets a record with 87 draft picks, 5.4 per program. The B1G finishes 2nd with 68 draft picks, 3.8 per program. The SEC is top-to-bottom better at recruiting than the B1G, but when it comes to coaching ... - The Power 2 combine for 60.5% of the players drafted. - A Tale of Two Programs - Clemson, 9 players drafted; Miami, 9 players drafted. - Texas Tech also had 9 players taken. The Orange Bowl shutout was the apogee of the Ducks' season. TT beat up OBD. Bama fell to Indiana with a whimper. It showed in the next game. - Remember when these guys were the belles of the QB crop: Cade Klubnik, Drew Allar, LaNorris Sellers, Archie Manning, and Garrett Nussmeier? - The guy who was screwed out of the Heisman by Mendoza, Diego Pavia, was not drafted. In 2026, Fernando heard the beat of the No. 1 drums: National Champ, Heisman winner, No. 1 draft pick. - Seven Oregon players picked. World fell off the draft map. If all Oregon players eligible for the draft had been picked, OBD would have surpassed Ohio State's 11 picks. - Ohio State led all programs with 11 players drafted. 10 - Alabama, Texas A&M - IMO, DeBoer's raise and contract extension were premature. A&M scored in the portal, but unlike 2025, in 2026, the Aggies' first seven SEC opponents will not all finish with six or more losses. 9 - Clemson, Miami, Texas Tech - Easy schedules and excellent portal picking mean the Canes and the Red Raiders will be in the 2026-27 playoff. But Clemson? Open at LSU. October 3rd, when Miami visits Clemson, could be a critical game for Dabo and the program. 8 - Georgia, Indiana, Penn State - Georgia wins the SEC, again. Indiana reloads. Penn State? An easy schedule, but how will Iowa State players perform in the Big Ten? (Last season, State defeated Iowa in Ames.) 7 - Iowa, LSU, Oregon, UW, Florida, Oklahoma - IMO, OBD returns to the playoffs in 2026, and from this group, I think UW has the best chance to join the Ducks. The 2027 NFL draft should be Just Ducky for Oregon. 🤑

GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
Yes, both misses were from 50+ yards. The 1st attempt had no chance, the second drifted left but was close to going through the uprights. There were a few big plays in the game, but for a Spring Game to be exciting, both Ds have to stink, right? I recall one trick play in the game that was unsuccessful. With the talent on D Dan has assembled, and the D almost always ahead of the O early in the Spring and early in the season, and with split units, I would be surprised, and somewhat concerned, if both Ds had been lit up. BURY BOISE!

GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
For everyone saying it was a boring spring game, I’ve been of that opinion since the Marcus debut. That being said, I’d wager that was a top-5 spring game experience nationally this year…spring games aren’t what they used to be, welcome to 2026. Great atmosphere and actual (mostly) football action which is very rare The DL is so good it’s impossible to gauge the OL imo. The only takeaways I have as a fan (no film) are that we are absolutely, ridiculously stacked at DL, WR, and QB. Hard to judge a new OL going against the best DL in CFB, while playing with a touch is a sack rule, in April.

I have to agree, a snooze fest. The interviews of former players was a distraction. Nice to see former players attend, but they seemed determined to interview all of them while the game is being played.
