Jonathan Smith taking a cool 33 Mil with him someplace.
So many of these coach firings are hilarious. He's only been at MSU for 2 seasons, what kind of changes were they expecting in such a short timeline? It's freaking M...S...U... 🤦♂️

So, Which Do You Prefer, a Home Playoff Game or a Bye into the Quarter Finals?
Depends. If you're the 5th or 6th seed then I'd take the playoff game. You still get around 3 weeks of rest and your first opponent is either a G6 representative or the lowest P4 team that qualifies.

So, Which Do You Prefer, a Home Playoff Game or a Bye into the Quarter Finals?
We seem to get dinged up in practices as much as games. That's a tough call for me.

So, Which Do You Prefer, a Home Playoff Game or a Bye into the Quarter Finals?
I'll go with a bye into the quarters. One more week to get healthy, one less chance of a loss, less chance of injury (in theory!), rely upon last year's lessons in regard to a long layoff.

Oregon - Washington Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Minimum of 3 (yes 1 due to no CShip game next week), maybe 4 if chaos ahead of them and they sneak into the #4 slot. Which would mean the BIG would have 3 of the top 4 as I do not see the loser of osu vs Indy falling out of top 4.

Rags to Riches - FINALLY, for Dante Moore
It seemed like several throws were off target behind the receiver; however, there were several on the mark that were dropped

College Football Rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 Polls after Texas A&M, Michigan Losses in Week 14
I'm sorry; I don't want to be #4. Love the idea of being #5. Tune-up game with a healthy receiving corps, then go to work.

Critical CFP questions
Good post, but I think that Texas not being ranked in the top 10 is about to sway Sankey and others to Tony P's PO format. SIWhy Beating Texas A&M Won’t Help Texas’s Chances at Colle...The selection committee has shown that losses matter more than big wins this season, and the Longhorns’ three defeats loom large against other bubble teams.%

Rags to Riches - FINALLY, for Dante Moore
Some of his throws were crazy accurate, and his passing percentage is hurt by at least four drops by the receivers. (20-29)

Critical CFP questions
Whew, That last scenario is huge. I would hope everyone would agree Georgia put to rest any notion Florida State deserved to be in that last four team playoff (and to be frank, Georgia made a case THEY should have been there). Florida State could barely win their Conference, and they were a shadow of who they were before the injury. As far as Texas and Miami: As much as I hate to admit it, Texas has a case. They beat A&M, Oklahoma and Vandy. Two of those three are definitely in. They lost to Bama-also in. And they played horribly against Ohio State, with both teams a shadow of what they would become, and only lost by a TD. Miami lost two games they should have handily won. They beat ND early, and I believe we all can agree they would have a much tougher out against Notre Dame now. BYU is going to have a lot to say about Texas' chances. However, this is a situation where schedule does matter. Texas was all over the map when you look at how they performed all year. But they played FIVE playoff caliber teams. None of them lost more than two games. They defeated A&M, who was undefeated. I believe Indiana, Georgia and Alabama were the only other teams to take down an undefeated playoff bound team. And this isn't in defense of the SEC. A&M proved you can run through your conference unscathed if you face the middle of the pack. Texas proved it is really difficult to go unscathed against a field of playoff caliber teams. Georgia, Ole Miss, OBD and Bama are examples of how tough it is to handle even one playoff bound team when they are playoff bound themselves. And Texas faced two top 3 teams. Miami has no such argument. Much less, the talent they have nullifies any excuse at justifying their two losses. They have an NFL bound QB, and is far more talented than the rest of their conference. Texas is a tier below Bama and Georgia for certain. They defeated Oklahoma, which is at their level, and took down Vandy, who is also at or near Texas' level. Ironically, this goes against my "you are what your record says you are" argument. What changed my mind was when I looked at Texas compared to Michigan, whom I initially thought should go instead of Texas had they defeated Ohio State. But Michigan didn't face five playoff caliber teams. The Wolverines faced two that were potential playoff teams, and went 1-1(and we can we acknowledge Michigan looked shaky as well?). If BYU defeats Texas Tech, they are in. If they lose, that 11 slot should be slated for Texas if and only if Virginia loses. I can't justify rewarding Duke for winning a weak ACC, or giving Miami the nod for "being more talented". That is an insult to the "every week matters" mantra. Because it means you can lose several times and still make the playoffs. And you can get mulligans for losing to twice to teams you have no business losing to in the first place. I despise the SEC mantra that they have a tougher slate than the rest of college football. This year, Texas and A&M proved the SEC is ordinary UNLESS you play a schedule that actually verifies your mantra. Texas is the first team in a very long time that faced 4 playoff bound/caliber teams, three in their own conference. Texas is correct to say scheduling Ohio State was risking a loss they easily could have replaced with an easy victory. Take away the conference shield, and you still see Texas performed well despite looking awfully shaky all year. So as much as I hate to give an SEC team Kudos, Texas is a team I can honestly respect for scheduling and handling a very tough slate. They are the only team this year to play almost half their schedule against teams that lost less than 3 games all year. And they are the only team to face four teams guaranteed to make the playoffs.

College Football Rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 Polls after Texas A&M, Michigan Losses in Week 14
If the CFP refects these polls its bittersweet. Love a 1st round home game but having one less game is nice also. Timelines not much different than the old days when you make a new years day bowl game.

Rags to Riches - FINALLY, for Dante Moore
Dante Moore has finally caught virtually everybody's attention. David Pollack says Dante never blinks and has a resting heart rate of 20. Someone else coined him "THE MOTOR CITY MAGICIAN!!!" Finally, he gets some noteworthy attention. I can't wait for next game.

College Football Rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 Polls after Texas A&M, Michigan Losses in Week 14
Bizarre!!! While I do not want Oregon in the top 4, oddly enough, it would give them a full 4 weeks till next game. Last year felt like Oregon was a little full of themselves, this year they look like grizzled men in a harsh winter. The scars and bruises have weakened them a bit but taught them to endure such hardships and find ways to accomplish their goal. A la Ohio State last year. 4 weeks would give them a beautiful amount of time to heal up and get the game plan in order as well. Making it only a 3 game journey ain’t half bad either right? Quack!!

College Football Rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 Polls after Texas A&M, Michigan Losses in Week 14
Wow. I did not think that Oregon could break into the top four unless BYU upset Texas Tech, or Alabama beat Georgia next week. But what really matters, is what the playoff committee comes up with, although these two poll rankings will certainly be influential.

Oregon - Washington Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
7 major takeaways from Oregon Ducks' 26-14 win over Washington Huskies It's not hard to imagine the scene behind those closed doors. After going to battle down a handful of starting players on offense once again, Oregon didn't waver and was able to control the game against Washington for four full quarters, ultimately landing the kill shot with a 64-yard touchdown from Malik Benson on a critical 3rd and 9 midway through the fourth quarter, which stretched the Ducks' lead from five to 12 points. Now, the Ducks can look forward to a week off, a chance to get healthy, and a wait as they let the College Football Playoff chips fall around them. Before we get to the coming weeks, though, let's dive in and enjoy this win over Washington. Here are some of our biggest takeaways from the game:
