When is the Last Time North Carolina Football Got This Much Attention?
Drake replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Guy apparently likes to coach. A college head coaching position seems like a big headache for a former NFL Coach. The professional relationship he refers too … she is his “part time COO” of Belichick Productions. HBO reported that they scrapped a Hard Knocks series of North Carolina football after demands from Jordan Hudson were deemed unreasonable. Apparently, she can’t sit quietly during an interview of her “boss”, Bill Belichick. Too funny. - Today

This had to come at some point for sure. This case I think is one of the more blant instances of roster tampering. The article was unclear but kinda implied by "able to compete" is Lucas a preferred walk on or is he on scholarship at Miami. It doesn't really matter in truth because walk ons can be paid enough that they are effectively on scholarship these days anyways. I could see that getting thrown into the case though if that is what happened. He left Wisconsin and went to Miami and became a walk on for their football team... Who could have seen that coming???

"In a first-of-its-kind and, perhaps, a precedent-setting move, Wisconsin is seeking unspecified financial damages and a declaratory judgement deeming UM’s actions as wrongful for interfering with a binding revenue-share contract between UW and Xavier Lucas, a former defensive back who left the program in January to compete at Miami." "It was a groundbreaking decision in which Lucas transferred without entering the portal (it had already closed) and after signing the contract with the Badgers." Wisconsin files suit against Miami for poaching Xavier Lucas while he was under contract with school SPORTS.YAHOO.COM In a landmark moment in college athletics, one university has filed suit against another over tortious interference, according to documents obtained by Yahoo Sports. CFB has provided ANOTHER new revenue source for attorneys!

She's also doing her job when she whispers in Bill's hearing aid, 'Nothing is off limits!' How about when the Tar Heels walked from two decades of academic fraud because not just athletes but also 'regular students' were cheating. Compare this to USC getting hammered for one guy going out of bounds. Compare the Tar Heels' hall pass to OBD losing scollies because Chip used outside help with recruiting. The Horror! My UNC golfing buddies are not happy campers.

Not the end of the world as we know it. Charles going to Montlake and losing, now that is the end of the world. And would certainly lead to his banishment to all future away games. -

1. S Dillon Thieneman, 93 overall The Purdue transfer has delivered back-to-back seasons with more than 100 tackles and is expected to be a future NFL first-round draft pick - even at a position that traditionally carries slightly less value than premium spots (quarterback, offensive tackle, edge-rusher, etc.) He did all that at Purdue. -

U.W. lost to WSU 24 to 19 at home on Sept. 14th last season, so they are now proud owners of a 4 game home winning streak. I know because I celebrate Husky losses almost as much as Duck wins (maybe even a bit more!). Go Ducks! -

NJDuck posted a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
EA Sports College Football 26 doesn't release for a few more weeks (July 10), but that hasn't stopped TeamCrafters and internet sleuths from finding the early rankings. While unconfirmed and unofficial, the players ratings for this years' game certainly appear to be right on track with what college football fans can expect. So, who are the top Oregon Ducks in this year's game? The whole system of Oregon athletics is working great right now. I'd say basketball might need some coaching changes in the near-ish future if things don't improve for men's and women's basketball. But hard to argue with results when Oregon led the B1G in conference championships in year one by a wide margin.

UW has the 2nd-longest home win streak behind Georgia. UW has won 20 consecutive games in Husky Stadium. Before OBD arrives for the last regular season game in 2025, to continue the streak, UW will have to defeat The Ohio State University and a veteran Illinois team. -

Oh dear, I hate to speak negatives into existence. I think our team will once again excel. Yes, lots of youth but all DL's guys. The O-line looks solid and should give our qb time and make holes for a powerful rb room. The D-line also lists out at better than last year. Some key additions to the db's should shore up as well. All that said, not making the playoffs would be hard. Losing to any of the following would wreck my year; Montana St, USC, Indiana or UW. Or having any serious injuries to starters. But I'll finish being positive, 11-1 with L being PSU. Losing in a white-out with Charles & Co in the house, horrible, just horrible.
