Oregon's New Practice Facility Taking Shape
Having drone photos would be nice if you have time to do it to track the progress. Hopefully the 2 outdoor practice fields can be finished as soon as possible. By the way the photos are from Duck Territory. I didn't take them. That would be hard for me to do from Arizona. See the article on my post.

Seaton to LSU
Hmmmmmmm? Because Kiffin won a conference championship at FAU? This is it for the hardware Kiffin has brought in. Ole Miss was a lock for the 2024-25 PO before QB Dart threw up late in the season at Florida. Seriously, I get your well-made point. It's the reason Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU, a program that has won national championships. One of these titles was won by Saint Nick Saban. Les Miles won in a season where no team had fewer than two losses. Ogeron won with QB transfer Joe Burrow, and Joe Brady calling plays for one of the best offenses in the history of the game. (BTW, as Coach O acknowledged, his LSU guys were not playing just for tuition, room, and board.) LSU's 2026 schedule is much more difficult than any schedule Kiffin has faced as an SEC coach. At Ole Miss in Week 3, especially if QB Chambliss can play one more season, I think Pete Golding takes down LSU and takes Ole Miss back to the PO with LSU missing out. (If Pete's not too busy poaching. 😁) Again, solid point, but IMO, scoring millions of big ones had more to do with Seaton's decision than winning the Big One in 2026. Based on his track record, Kiffin may not make it to season three.

Is the Big-10 Hosed, (Hoosiered) or Not?
Thanks, Charles, for the terrific editing job. Cig is losing many of the players he brought with him from JMU. Will this make a difference in 2026? One prediction of which I am certain, Indiana vs. Ohio State and Indiana at Michigan will draw a huge number of eyeballs. For viewer numbers compared to the SEC, I hope at least one of these games will kick off at 7:30 PM Eastern. And many folks will be watching the battle of the Os, Oregon at Ohio State.

The school's new state-of-the-art indoor practice facility remains under construction. The school's plans include a new state-of-the-art 170,000 square foot indoor facility located west of Autzen and the relocation of both outdoor fields. The school has targeted 2029 for the completion of the entire project, but the outdoor fields will be completed before then. Schedule Release Today: Your Most Anticipated Game
We're just over a week from the 2025 season wrapping up. But in this day and age, there really isn't an off-season. The ACC released it's schedule yesterday. Today the B1G is set to do the same. What games are you looking forward to most? What's your expectation for this upcoming season? Last year, most thought the Oregon vs Penn State game was going to be one of the greatest, and it was. But it was a couple weeks later, that we got the real playoff primer. With the 2025 National champion Indiana Hoosiers handing Oregon their first , and up to this date only B1G conference game loss. (Ohio State was a playoff game, as was the Indiana rematch) https://goducks.com/news/2026/1/24/football-schedule-to-be-announced-tuesday-as-season-ticket-deadlines-for-2026-approach

Is the Big-10 Hosed, (Hoosiered) or Not?
The first Much Too Early College Football Top 25 preseason poll was released approximately 30 seconds after Curt Cignetti was handed the Championship Trophy, and then finished his acceptance speech, noting that the Big Ten, except for Purdue, of course, doesn’t suck. Patience is a virtue, but is rarely observed in today’s wired, peripatetic world. And the folks casting for ... Is the Big-10 Hosed, (Hoosiered) or Not?

The Expanded Playoff is Redefining Success
I define success to be what the team does in the December early signing period and then what happens with the portal. The games just follow recruiting. The expanded playoffs were needed. When it was just the AP determining champions, every game was a playoff game - all charging ahead to get that number one spot and not lose it. Two years in and the teams with byes lost 7 out of 8. Time to go to 16. The top 4 or 5 will get warm up games. It is also time to dump the group of whatever. If they are good, they can get ranked high enough to get in. Or... let their top teams play top 5 teams in the first three weeks, get a win, and then build a case for playoffs.

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
Doesn't all this remind you of 'Prime Time' at Colorado? It does a little to me. If it follows the same script, Kiffen will win a few games, get all the attention, and then get beat down by a 'real team'.

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
Jigs first Indiana portal group were experienced former players of his JMU team, were they not... There is a huge gulf between familiarity and massive talent, in a completely un familiar system, with no cohesion. Better get "the team" together for some massive KUMBAYA gatherings.

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
I think Cignetti answered that --Time and experience are better. Kiffin will take at least 3 years at LSU.

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
With that many new players all at once, I wonder how well they will play together in a system that is new to them.

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
I would guess LSU goes 9-3, I think that first game could turn into a nightmare where Clemson comes away with an upset, so many players to integrate in There is going to a ton of pressure on Kiffin to win right away Tennesssee, USC, Ole Miss none of these places was expecting 10, 11, or 12 wins right out of the chute

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
My thinking is that Kiffin has accumulated a gosh-awful amount of bad karma on his whirlwind tour of NCAA CFB. Being an old Viking, I'm counting on Loki to have something to do with depositing all that unfavorable karma on Kiffin and causing all his misdeeds to this point to come into play in a disastrous sort of way 😁 Sending un-happy thoughts Kiffin's way!! 😁😂🤣 Go Ducks!! 🦆🦆🦆🦆 OlCodgerDuck

LSU Just Bought a Whole New Team: 40 In, and 37 Out
Par for the Lame Kitten course. Kiffin has never been a great recruiter. He buys players from the portal. Trinidad Chambliss was discovered and brought to Ole Miss by Charlie Weiss, Jr. LSU also went large in the portal in 2025 and fired Brian Kelly before the end of the season. This Pink Slip only cost LSU $54 million. In 2026, LSU is on the road for five SEC games: Ole Miss 😁, Kentucky, Auburn, Tennessee, and Arkansas. In 2026's 13-week season, LSU finishes with back-to-back road games. Week 12 at Tennessee and Week 13 at Arkansas. Not the best way to finish a season. The five SEC road games will be a new experience for LSU and the other seven SEC teams doing the same in 2026. Home opener against Clemson. Then, LSU welcomes Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Alabama, and Texas to Baton Rouge. This is a far more difficult SEC schedule than Old Miss played in 2025. Good luck (yuck, yuck.) LSU is paying QB Sam Leavitt a lot of money to transfer in from ASU. Leavitt has a history of being injured. He's a good dual-threat QB, but he has nowhere near the ability and athleticism of Trinidad Chambliss. O-line was LSU's weakest link last season. Seaton's coming in, but will he be a fit and play well with his new teammates? Seaton played well at CU, but the overall line play was Buffalo chips. I look at the schedule, and I can see three or more losses and no invitation to the playoffs. If so, entering year two Kiffin's seat will be scalding hot. The man won a conference championship in the G6 with FAU; that is all he's accomplished.
