Prediction Contest of the BIG GAME: Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots: Join Us!
Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction of Seattle versus New England? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. We Have Two New Rules: If two winning scores are tied, and tiebreakers tie? The first one who posted wins, automatically. TerryM9 gets 42-6 locked in every time as his. (I love this guy!) Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Seattle creates --the number of sacks Seattle records on New England --the number of passing yards by the Seahawks My prediction is: Seattle 34-17 2 3 211

DAT is Living in Eugene, Playing Disc Golf
Not surprised he’s back in Eugene. In 2011 (his Freshman year) I was living pretty close to Autzen, and would regularly walk through the passage between the stadium and the Moshofsky Center to get to Alton Baker for walks. On sunny days, he’d sometimes be sitting by himself on the curved curb next to the reserved athletic parking area just relaxing and soaking it in. You can kinda tell when someone has found something for the first time that really works.

College Football Playoff Announces Quarterfinal, Semifinal Dates, Bowl Sites for 2026, 2027
#5 Oregon was the only one of twelve teams west of the Rockies. After winning your home game, they could/should have been in the Rose Bowl with IU and Bama playing in Dallas. That would not have mattered to IU fans nor Bama fans. You beat IU and could/would play in Phoenix instead of Atlanta. With Miami keeping their championship game. #1 Indiana could have played in New Orleans only because the semi's were in Atlanta. Then Atlanta and Miami #6 Ole Miss/#3 Georgia would have had no choice but two games in Atlanta if IU was in New Orleans. #2 Ohio State would have had no choice but to play in Dallas. Logistics and Marketing for the cities would stay close to the same since they do not know any sooner than us, who the teams are. Under the 2025 playoffs, Vegas is not listed, but they should be in the list of six cities that rotate from year to year. Pasadena would be skipped every year for the championship game due to their need/requirement/wants to remain on January 1. Or keep them in the 6 city rotation no matter the date and then every January 1 invite the top two teams that feel they were screwed out of the playoffs .to the Rose Bowl game .. ie: BYU vs Notre Dame game. Bottom line, Oregon fans will have to travel more times east of the Rockies no matter what if you want to win a natty. Like in 2024 when they asked Cignetti before his game against UCLA in the Rose Bowl as a regular season game ... "we don't care where we play, we can play it in a parking lot if they want to."

College Football - Anything Goes
It is totally sickening what has happened to college football and basketball because lawsuits an judges run the show now. What can be done about it without being sued? That idea of 5 years to play 4 is looking pretty good now.

some of the largest high school stadiums in the US by capacity: Allen Eagle Stadium (Allen, TX): 18,000 Buccaneer Stadium (Corpus Christi, TX): 18,000 Grande Communications Stadium (Midland, TX): 18,000 Ratliff Stadium (Odessa, TX): 17,931 San Angelo Stadium (San Angelo, TX): 17,500 Farrington Field (Fort Worth, TX): 18,500 Paul Brown Tiger Stadium (Massillon, OH): 16,600 Alamo Stadium (San Antonio, TX): 15,000+ Often these stadiums are used by more than one high school in the local district, and used for other community events. I believe the largest seating capacity dedicated to high school sports in Oregon is at Spiegelberg Stadium in Medford, though like many Oregon high school stadiums it rarely reaches capacity these days. High school football in Oregon is a much different animal today due to various societal and sports fans shifts.

College Football - Anything Goes
New Florida coach Jon Sumrall wonders whether Tim Tebow will leave the SEC Network to play ball for the Gators again? He was joking, I think? Considering the following with the understanding that justices with a conflict are supposed to recuse themselves from the issue at hand. What a quaint idea. An Alabama state court judge overruled long-standing NCAA eligibility rules and allowed a basketball player who has received compensation from a professional league to suit up for his beloved Crimson Tide basketball team. In 2025, the good judge donated $100,000.00 to Tide athletics, but that's just peanuts compared to the real donors to Big Al, right? In Tennessee, a state 'Judge' who is an unabashed fan of the Volunteers, granted an injunction that, if sustained, would allow Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar to play another season. By NCAA standards, Joey has played five seasons of college football, where a player used to have five years to compete for four years. According to Joey, playing ball in Junior College shouldn't count because he couldn't make the money he's making now. For that matter, don't count the time Jowy spent playing for App State in the small-dough Little League G6. Trinidad Chambliss and Ole Miss fouled up. Instead of finding a friendly state judge in Mississippi, Trinidad asked for one more year from the NCAA. His appeal was based on his having to sit out a year at Ferris State due to a lung condition. NCAA: Peddle your papers elsewhere; there is not enough evidence of you having been incapacitated. Trinidad is now weighing his options. Do I enter draft, or sue the NCAA in the friendly confines of state court? I do want to plant a face job on Kiffin in Week 3, but where can I make the most money? As the World Turns - A new soap opera based on the life of a college QB, or three. ESPN.comWetzel: Standing on the brink of anything-goes NCAA eligi...By not controlling who is eligible, the NCAA is losing the ability to function as an organizing athletic body.

Quack! Quack! Dayton Raiola Commits to Oregon, Reunited With Brother in Eugene
The data gurus at Oregon should go back through past rosters and look for brother-brother combos. Publicizing that would bring an added interpretation to "Oregon brotherhood" during recruiting. I know there have been other than just the Herberts. Even Nix and Tez recently.

College Football Playoff Announces Quarterfinal, Semifinal Dates, Bowl Sites for 2026, 2027
Then keep the Rose Bowl on January 1, but offer its semi-final rotation status to another venue such as Vegas or Fiesta Bowl x 2. If the Rose won't/can't offer itself for a semi-final, then that screws teams in the West who qualify for a semi-final that instead will require fans to travel to Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas....

College Football Playoff Announces Quarterfinal, Semifinal Dates, Bowl Sites for 2026, 2027
Having the Rose Bowl on any other day besides January 1st is criminal IMO. Barely one of the last college football traditions that still exist, even though the matchups are different.

QUAAAAK, Another DL From the Portal
An interesting question with this news. Will IU's OOC schedule be ridiculed again this year since they play Howard? Honestly I didn't even know Howard had a football team. I have no idea if there is a friend, ex assistant or a connection of some sort to Cignetti for them to play Howard. Sometimes there is a connection like that even in basketball. Cignetti said yesterday when ask by Urban Meyer on a podcast about his OOC ... "I play who the AD tells me to play". So with this DL from Howard coming to Oregon, will IU's OOCs now be more legit?

National Signing Day: See the Oregon Ducks 2026 Recruiting Class
After watching the 2 hour show on the BTN about signing day yesterday ... I had to go out to my garage to get my hip wadders when Lincoln Riley showed up on the tv. I put the remote on pause while I did that. UCS #1 recruiting class??? Overall, the B10 is going to be brutal again next year. IMO there might even be a 2-loss team make the B10 championship game. Luckily the $EC playing 9 games MIGHT help some in the non-$EC CFP teams but that will also be an annual battle of the bias media. Really only 11 CFP spots available with the "automatic bid" to the Irish in rewarding them for their weak schedule. Should be some exciting football games. Look for last seasons's losing teams to play better due to their coaching hires. All those new hires seem to be better than those they are placing. I also had to put the wadders back on this morning while watching Chip Kelly's interview yesterday from Northwestern. Sorry, Kelly fans.

National Signing Day: See the Oregon Ducks 2026 Recruiting Class
Since the photo shows IU I guess I will reply with some updates as of yesterday. For the 3rd class in a row the Cignetti's number of Transfer Portal players has decreased each year. He is done for the year. He was asked yesterday about 4 and 5 star players now wanting to play at IU. Curt Cignetti expressed that while the influx of 4 and 5-star recruits is exciting, he remains focused on selecting players who fit the program's culture and work ethic, stating he would turn away talent if their commitment isn't there. He emphasized that the core values of improving daily and maintaining the right fit for the team will not change.
