  2. That Ole Miss game in Oxford will be interesting. I wonder if he will be showered with bottles and other missiles the way he was in Knoxville on his return after deserting the Vols so early in the game (for USC IIRC).

  4. While the injuries are indeed a problem, this wasn’t a serious team at full strength. OBD would have been lucky to get to 16 wins at full strength imo.
  5. This team is currently 315th in FG% and 275th in scoring offense. Just wow. For reference, 91-92 was 238th in scoring offense.
  6. He is a true 4-Star with Rivals, and besides Oregon he had a long list offered, but the other notable ones were Michigan, Nebraska, UCLA, and Utah. Whew! Looks pretty lean for 280 pounds!
  7. Oregon Ducks football coach Dan Lanning and the rest of his staff have hit yet another home run in the 2027 recruiting class, as they have landed another commitment. Drew Fielder is a 2027 recruit who plays on the offensive line. He is listed as an offensive tackle and is one of the more popular choices when it comes to being a four-star offensive lineman prospect. He has officially committed to the Oregon Ducks, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. 8. The No. 5 player at all positions in the nation? Whew! From Maryland, and did not go to the Terps, Penn State, Ohio State, etc?

  10. Why bother listing second tier programs???
  11. He is a Rivals 3-Star, but other than USC and Michigan listed above, he was offered also by Nebraska, UCLA, and Washington. (Ha!) Every class in the trenches will have some "upside" projects, and it is good policy to make those offers. In today's portal-transfer environment--if it does not work out, then they will voluntarily leave to make room for a new project.

The Ducks are already top contenders for several of the top players in the 2027 class while Lanning has proven he can shock teams on the recruiting trail.
  14. Rebuilding can be done with the portal for a team that had a losing record. Creating a Championship caliber team via 40 portal players seems a stretch. Lame Kiffen abandoned his team, and I, along with every Ole Miss fan would enjoy watching LSU struggle just to watch an LSU donor meltdown.
  15. Are we going to add a second Tank? Is Oregon Working on Another Late Addition for Their 2026 Class? This Anthony Jones is listed at 6’4″, 290 pounds on Rivals and checks in as the No. 40 defensive lineman in the Rivals Industry Ranking for the 2026 class.

  18. This article title says 2025, they meant it to be 2026. Seeing as Oregon signed the No. 2-ranked class in the nation with a record number of 5-star players, the answer is likely to be "yes." After all, they're set to return quarterback Dante Moore, a talented core of running backs and wide receivers, the entire defensive line and added top-ranked safety Koi Perich via the transfer portal.
  21. Oregon fans face heartbreak as experts predict 2026 national championshipThey've come close four times, only to get manhandled, jobbed, or blown out in the end. The script has been repeated so many times that another prediction of success elicits not anticipation but fatalism and dread. Earlier this week the college football writers from The Athletic and The New York Timespredicted the 2026 National Champion. Brace yourselves, Duck fans: Nine members of the panel picked Dan Lanning and Oregon. No other program got more than five votes.
