  3. They badly need to rebrand their logo as it is no longer even representative of the geographical locations for most of the schools! two total schools in the new conference can be considered as "mountain" schools (Colorado State, Utah State), yet it is one of the predominate features in the current PAC-12 logo. The new logo needs to be as boring as possible in order to properly highlight the generic, no-name places in each state that their respective schools call home! And a name change to the Left Behind Land Grant State Schools Conference should be legally required!

  5. I am trying to figure out which is worse....adding Texas State to a conference, or calling the conference they are creating as the, "New Look Pac-12." This label has popped up in several references by writers in the last two weeks, with John Canzano being one of the primary promoters of the label. (Of course) I mean....how DO you portray the revised conference that is clearly much, much worse than the original....and everyone knows it? Are you really trying to pretend it is something better than it is?

  19. Oregon Lands Red-Hot QB Bryson Beaver, What it Means and What's Next Oregon continued to pick up momentum on the recruiting trail in the 2026 class on Wednesday with the commitment of 4-star Vista Murrieta (Calif.) quarterback Bryson Beaver. Beaver chose the Ducks over the likes of Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn and others. After missing out on other quarterbacks like Jonas Williams, Jared Curtis and Ryder Lyons, Will Stein and the Ducks secured a pledge from the fastest rising quarterback recruit in the nation. Beaver earned high praise at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles last week, an event that brings 20 of the nation’s top quarterback talents together to compete in one spot. Beaver took his official visit to Oregon over the weekend and that was enough to seal the deal. He also took visits to Ole Miss and Alabama prior to traveling North to Eugene. The LSU Tigers were making a big push to get him on campus for a visit, but Beaver was ready to pull the trigger and hop in the fold with the Ducks. The newest commitment helps Oregon continue to expand their recruiting presence in the talent-rich recruiting hotbed that is Southern California. Beaver is the second quarterback from the region to take his talents to Eugene in the last two recruiting cycles, as San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln quarterback Akili Smith Jr. pledged to the Ducks in the 2025 class. Beaver’s commitment brings Oregon to 10 total verbal commitments and inside the top 10 of the national team recruiting rankings for 2026 according to On3. ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins break down the commitment from all angles and discuss what it means for Oregon, as well as what’s next in the 2026 recruiting class. 27. On the other end, Purdue is at 3.5 +154. This would be a huge step up for the Boilers, who lost coveted safety Thieneman to OBD! I don't see 4 wins, maybe their best chances are the first two games, at home against Ball State, 3-9 in 2024 and Southern Illinois, 4-8.
  28. The best odds on Vegas Insider to go over 10.5 is DraftKings +110. Too skinny for me. The schedule is easier than last season, but with the 105th returning production in CFB, two losses, which would get OBD back to the PO, can certainly happen. And 1 loss only leaves no protection against unfortunate injury, like we've already seen with Evan Stewart. I do, of course, wish Geoff nothing but the best!
