I Am EASILY AMUSED...Funnies & Facts
This is a really good pass by Dillon Gabriel, and a pretty good game for him considering it was his first start!

The Case for Oregon’s Freshman Runningback Duo to Start
We have not had a running back with breakaway speed like Hill in a very long time; not since LaMichael James, over a decade ago. I sense that Davison has much more upside in picking gaps to bursting through them, although he is very good, actually better than most of the RBs already. That block by Davison on the second play in the article produced a "crack" sound you could hear in the telecast over the other game noises. It was a hit! So delighted to have a THUNDER and LIGHTNING combo again!

2025 Football Poll Rankings (2)
The AP Poll Week 6-7 Playoff. ROSE BOWL - No. 1 Ohio State vs. 9 Texas Tech at 8 Alabama SUGAR BOWL - No. 4 Ole Miss vs. No. 12 Memphis at No. 5 Texas A&M ORANGE BOWL - No. 2 Miami vs. No. 10 Georgia at No. 7 Indiana COTTON BOWL - No. 3 OBD vs. No. 11 LSU at No. 6 Oklahoma No Penn State - 😁- With Nebraska and Cincinnati's wins on Saturday, UW's sterling road comeback, Michigan finally closing out the team with the best rush D in the country, yes, Wisconsin, PSU with games at Ohio State and home vs. Indiana and Nebraska, USC with but one loss and games vs. Michigan, at Notre Dame and at OBD, and one-loss Illinois and Maryland, are in theory, still in the PO hunt. B1G PO separation games in Week 7: OBD vs. Indiana; Ohio State at Illinois; Michigan at USC; Nebraska at Maryland. [Northwestern at Penn State - 🤔- Don't laugh! NW defeated UCLA.] SEC PO separation games: Florida at A&M; Oklahoma vs. Texas; Bama at Mizzou; UGA at Auburn; Wazzu at Ole Miss - move right along, nothing to see here.😧. It's the SEC, so ... The 1st Bobby Petrino audition game sees Tennessee visiting Fayetteville. (Traveling by plane, not motorcycle. 🤪) Mari-oh-oh with a chance to play the PO opener and the champ game in his 'home' stadium. For finishing ranked No. 3, OBD plays a lower-ranked SEC team in Dixie. Can we please have a Playoff and not a Bowl Extravaganza!

Are You Reconsidering Your Respect for the CFB 'Experts?'
I gave up on "experts" years ago when listening to Paul "Fawn"baum read his obviously scripted SEC narrative (Sinclair media style) EACH and EVERY time he was "front and center" on national media during the BCS era. Had me realize that objective, reflective thought on the subject of college football is mostly a bunch of "noise" to meet the "needs" of fan bases and advertisers. In the world of "entertainment" havin' Nuthin' to talk about is paramount to a death sentence. Better to fill the void with BS than lose your audience or cashflow. Ergo where we are at with the plethora of podcast and streaming "options" available today. I don't know but I like to try and live by the mantra of: Better to keep quiet and appear a fool or uninformed, than open ones mouth and remove all doubt. 😉 Go Quackers!

The Case for Oregon’s Freshman Runningback Duo to Start
Great article, and one that I completely agree with. I think the best evidence for why Hill / Davison should be the primary RBs is because we as fans can all see it. Really fun to watch.

Heisman Trophy Articles, Updates
Still too early to get excited about Ranking. But this week's game should help bring clarity. Carson Beck is doing well as a veteran. The Case for Oregon’s Freshman Runningback Duo to Start
David, thank you again for another entertaining, enlightening article. It's so good to have true frosh come in with stars attached to their names and produce in their first season. That's talent meeting opportunity and excellent coaching, schematically and otherwise. All right, youngsters, Put Down That Cig!

The Case for Oregon’s Freshman Runningback Duo to Start
Oregon has two incredible freshman running backs in Dierre Hill and Jordon Davison, both of whom have outstripped expectations and are pushing for more carries. These two running backs should be getting the bulk of the reps moving forward, as they are far better than rest of Oregon’s already loaded RB room. Davison’s Tight Squeeze We all love it when ... The fact Miami struggled with FSU, and payed Oregon in the polls, probably is like a gnat buzzing in your ear... Annoying, but knowing Mario, he'll find a way to litter his own nest.

I Am EASILY AMUSED...Funnies & Facts
Oh it could get worse... They have Northwestern this Saturday. If they lose that game then Franklin is going to get Kiffened, fired on the tarmac and not allowed to get on the bus home... but this is a home game for Penn State so I guess the equivalent to that is firing him in the tunnel and locking him out of the lockeroom.

A great reminder it can always be worse..well, maybe not for Penn State, but it can always be worse..

Oregon Rank is Pretty Low
I'm with Charles. It's relative. I'm a manager that hires from time to time and all the B1G school carry prestige for their graduates. At least we're accredited unlike Nebraska, the only team below them.

Sources: Big Ten Mulling $2B Private Capital Deal
Kentucky has moved its Athletic Department from under the university umbrella and into a newly formed Limited Liability Company. In the pursuit of cash, one size will not fit all. OBD fans are blessed to have an Athletic Department in the black. If you look across the landscape of B1G schools, this is the exception and not the rule. Where else could many unsuccessful 'subsidiaries' have their 'parent company' valued at $40 billion? Private capital puts up $2 billion for 5%, with the 5% going away in 2046. Of course, beware the details, but on its face, it looks like a good deal, one that will deliver funds to flat-broke UCLA athletic department. But any deal will not happen, of course, without sign-offs from Ohio State and Michigan.

I Am EASILY AMUSED...Funnies & Facts
Once upon a time, Jeffery came off the bench, replaced the injured DTR at QB, and took down Texas. I know, Texas, right?😁 In studio on Saturday, Dad Rick had to apologize to PSU fans for losing any semblance of objectivity. I LOVE both your and Charles' takes. 😎
