2025 FAN COLOR GUIDE FOR EACH GAME IS OUT
David Marsh replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Just need to wear the loudest green. It'll stick out in a sea of white. -
What's interesting is to see how many have transferred again. Didn't Dowdell go to Nebraska? And Cardwell to UCLA? Flowe went to Arizona and is now at UNLV. Ashford went to Auburn i.rmember but is now at wakeforest. When you see players double transfer it's hard to miss them.
-
I don't think I miss any of them, as they left because they were not going to play much here. Although, a couple of the OL might have been nice for backups right now...but that is why they left; to play.

I can't copy the whole article, but a writer made me smile... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Pac-12 has added Texas State, which is nowhere near the Pacific Coast, unless you zoom out a lot and get in "pale blue dot" mindset. In the grand scheme, we're all near the Pacific Coast. Southeastern: No two people will ever agree on what we mean when we say "the Midwest" or "the South" or whatever, but most agree Oklahoma and Texas aren't in the Southeast. Still, they're not exactly faraway states. (Missouri does not belong to any region. It is a liminal space.) Big 12: Lying about math is much worse than lying about geography, because geography changes over time. A few billion years from now, tectonics might make the ACC's name accurate again. But, a few billion years from now, 12 will still not equal 16. Pac-12: Lying about math and geography. Colorado State and Texas State are 1,000-mile drives away from the ocean. Just as concerning: the number "12" being applied to a conference that has recently had 10, two, seven and now eight members? (We do not care that some of that wasn't the Pac-12's fault) Big Ten: Ten? You have almost twice that many members. Yet you call yourself the smart conference. (Am I additionally punishing the Big Ten for also being the most geographically egregious conference, even though geography isn't in its name? Of course I'm not doing that!)

Looks like at least 40 former Ducks are set on different rosters. From the looks of what appears to be a pretty decent (and usually up-to-date) depth chart site (OurLads), it looks like 14 former Ducks are projected to start and 15 more are listed as second team (though on July 1st it is still early). Two Ducks Make Walter Camp Preseason All American List
30Duck replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Even then, OBD won't be on equal footing. Oregon will never be a blueblood, but So What!!!! The little school from nowhere already has a Brand second to none. First teams hated the up tempo offense, Saban labeled it "dangerous" until he started to win with it. Uniforms? Teams didn't even give them a though until teenagers, future recruits, started to talk about how cool Oregon's were. Let's talk facilities, yeah, Oregon is No.1 there too. Blueblood <New Blood. -

Good thing "they" determined GREEN to be the color to wear at Penn State...because that is what I planned on! Although,...I'm not sure anyone will see our Oregon group? -

Until there's a Natty, or two, in the trophy case, OBD will be overlooked. I was listening to an interview with ASU QB Sam Leavitt. The two guys doing the questioning noted Dilly's time and great learning curve under Mike Norvell at Memphis, with nothing regarding his time spent with Dan and OBD. -
Tony Petitti on the PO expanding to 16 with automatic qualifiers. 'This format means better OOC games.' Big Ten boss pitches playoff tweak, says more AQs will boost non-league matchups HUSKERCORNER.COM Tony Petitti argues extra Big Ten auto bids and a 16-team CFP would spark tougher non-conference games. I'm happy that Tony is speaking up. He's not falling for the SEC 5-11 while continuing to play 8 conference games. The B12 voting for the 5-11 format is also dependent, at least as of today, on the SEC playing 9 conference games. Missouri does play Kansas OOC, but also plays LA-LA, UMass, and Central Arkansas. MO. misses Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, Florida, and LSU. The 8 conference game ACC? UNC plays TCU and UCF OOC, which gives the Tar Heels 10 P4 opponents, but misses Miami, FSU, Louisville, SMU, and Pitt. No consensus on the format? Fine, stay with a 12-team field through the 2031-32 season. This will cost the B1G and the SEC multi-millions of postseason money, but the B1G brings in more revenue than the SEC. A stalemate hurts the SEC's bottom line more than the B1G's bottom line.

Makhi Hughes and Dillion Thieneman. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Oregon running back Makhi Hughes and defensive back Dillon Thieneman were named to the 2025 Walter Camp preseason all-America second team on Tuesday morning. Both transfers. Let's hope some home grown make the list after the season.

Respectfully, I would say that the PIG-2 entering a scheduling agreement in bad faith with the MWC, and then turning around and strategically poaching MWC members, and then legally fighting poaching fees they agreed to is calling out their hypocrisy, not bullying. IMO the PIG-2 are classic bullies. Can’t compete with someone supposedly in your weight class? Go kick some sand in the face of someone you think can take. Gonna be hilarious watching them fail in a watered down “PAC”.

Oh Brother..."New Look" Pac-12 Invites Texas State, But...
Tandaian replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It has been a full year since OSU/WSU were left because of the football business decisions they made. They are making the best of their "now" situation. They are not stealing anything from any school, since every other PAC 12 team left of their own free will. I remember when the Ducks hadn't yet left for the B1G about discussions leaving USC and UCLA out of PAC 12 payments. The PAC 12 is still a brand name and OSU/WSU are using that. Not that 30 million per school is a little amount, but Oregon will make up the 30 mil in 1 or 2 years? However, OSU and WSU have to deal with being an afterthought probably forever. The bullying of OSU and WSU is kicking a dead horse at this point. Oregon is in a much better financial place, to be angry at OSU/WSU for trying to make lemonade out of lemons........ -

It's All a Huge Mis-State Pac-12 officially announces Texas State as new member of conference - On3 WWW.ON3.COM . Gould blew through the purloined Pac-12 Gold for this? -
Rece Davis agrees, CFB needs collective bargaining. But why would the athletes who have everything in their favor agree to bargain anything away? Join the 'Union' or you can't play? How would this work in right-to-work states? One Union for all sports? The Moneyball sports only? Do revenue sports have the same issues as nonrevenue sports? Rece Davis suggests 'only answer' to stop college football tampering is collective bargaining WWW.ON3.COM . Atlas Shrugged, no more athletic scholarships, every sport is a club sport, may be the only way to force Congress to provide schools with relief from litigation. How do you decide who is in the Union, who manages the Union, and what constitutes Management?

I actually think it's pretty cool when all the fans are wearing the same color. Like Penn St's white out. Problem with Oregon is they have so many color combinations that it's hard to get the whole stadium on board. I guess that's the drawback to being trendsetters.
