The SEC Goes to 9 Conference Games in 2026
I heard on one of those YouTube podcasts "The Monty Show" that there is talk of a twenty team format. According to him the SEC was only holding the nine game card was because they wanted the B1G to agree to their preferred format and by acting like going to nine games was a huge sacrifice that the B1G got a huge win. But others have said Sankey folded. I'm kind of over hearing about realignment and CFP negotiations. Football is officially back! Iowa State won a Big Twelve top 25 showdown vs Kansas State in Ireland. UNLV which is a trendy G05 playoff team is in a twenty four to twenty four point deadlock with Idaho State. Playoff implications in week zero?

Brutal Big-10 Travel: Is This FAIR?
We travel to Penn State and Rutgers…why don’t we add Maryland and have ALL the farthest teams on the schedule?
-
Brutal Big-10 Travel: Is This FAIR?
That's crazy. We only have 5 away games right? 3k miles average including a short jump to UW? That doesn't sound right.

Brutal Big-10 Travel: Is This FAIR?
I don't what is crazier...the distances that West Coast teams have to travel, or how little other B1G teams travel? Most of the B1G will travel only half or a third of what the Ducks will!

Can We Bring Back "Win The Day" Motto?
WTD got taken down about 10 notches during Helfrich 3 and 8 season, when Helfrich was asked in an interview if the team was still winning the day. He responded saying "we're winning some of them." This showed the well had been poisoned, hence when Taggart arrived he got rid of it trying to instill some immediate accountability and agency for the players with "Do Something". I doubt he would have kept it forever, but lucky for us he didn't stick around for us to have to find out. WTD is still solid, based sports psychology, was never adopted by any other school, and represents a highly successful period for the program, so I wouldn't mind if it popped up around the facilities and on merchandise now and then.

Josh Pate May Have Oregon Losing the BIG Title, But Has Us in the 'Natty
Thank you, Steven. Why play the season when USA Today already knows the record for 136 teams? I'm so happy we have college football to watch in about 15 minutes. I Need My Fix! 🤪 https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2025/08/21/college-football-season-record-projections-2025/85755096007/

Josh Pate May Have Oregon Losing the BIG Title, But Has Us in the 'Natty
We are his No. 4 seed with a DeBoer rematch in the Natty with the same result as the last 3 Lanning DeBoer matchups. Oregon Ducks predicted to land in championship game by Josh Pate I'd say part two not happening.

Lots of great takes friends. Should we place bets on which conference gets more teams in the 2026-27 playoff?

The SEC Goes to 9 Conference Games in 2026
I am so tired of all the pre-season wrangling, Let's tee the ball up and get between the lines. There will still be lots to wrangle about guys. I am even planning to take in a couple Week 0 games which I almost never do. It is time for football!!!

Ouch! You Do NOT Want to Be on This List...
Priceless. The fact that SUC leads the nation in being overrated for the last 15 years is not news to any Oregon fans. What is comical is that the SuC fans always believe their preseason hype. Then they have to watch them play.

The SEC Goes to 9 Conference Games in 2026
Sigh. How about Tony P was playing chess when Greg S was playing checkers? Is it a B1G win for the SEC to go to nine conference games? The B1G has lost leverage? Have any CFB scribes out there advanced beyond Finance 101? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/winners-losers-as-sec-adopts-9-game-schedule-fans-should-rejoice-big-ten-loses-leverage-amid-cfp-talks/

FORGET Next Year: 2025 is Oregon’s Best Chance…
I worry about losing Pancho. Charlie Pickard really did not perform well when called upon and I've not heard anything about other potential centers on the current roster.

FORGET Next Year: 2025 is Oregon’s Best Chance…
another factor in reloading next year is NIL. i can see a way that at least a few of the juniors can earn more with the Ducks than with a NFL team. Pancho for one will likely be worth opening the purse.....

Can We Bring Back "Win The Day" Motto?
Totally agree that DL is a master motivator, and I like his dynamic themes. I guess I envisioned more a "walk in the stadium and see 'Win The Day' painted in the tunnels and other areas" I think it's a great, unchanging core value or mission statement for sports/university.
