  2. Minnesota came out and dominated the LOS in the third quarter to take a 24-21 lead after three, and I'm impressed with the improvement of the Gopher freshman QB. Minnesota looks stouter in the trenches, and it is starting to show. Illinois came out in the second half to drive to a FG, stop the Trojans on downs, and then throw a wheel route to their RB for a 66 yard TD to take 24-10 lead on USC midway through the third quarter!
  3. Dear Mods: After doing a bit more research regarding the impact that PSU Whiteout games actually have on Top-15 teams, I'd like to alter my prediction... if possible. Oregon 34-28 1 1 281 FINAL ANSWER 😄
  4. I kept wondering if the beavs were trying to mimic Mari's No-O offense with th continual ineffective gut runs at the end of the game...
  5. Whoa! Halftime scores... Illinois leads USC at half, 14-10, as they are running right at the Trojans. Rutgers is turning into a poor-man's Indiana with their improved passing attack, as they lead Minnesota at half 21-14. Rutgers is not going to be an easy-out when we play AT their stadium later....
  6. Today
  7. CORRECTION: I missed their Whiteout playoff game last year against SMU where they won. So, they are actually 3-7 against Top-15 in Whiteout games. Which is still unimpressive.
  8. You got this Charles!
  9. Ducks - 41-28 2 to's 3 sacks 320 yards passing
  10. I think it's a great tradition and totally cool. And clearly PSU will have another huge & rockin' stadium. But I like to look at what the data says, and from the only perspective that matters -- e.g win & losses, the data says it's really not a big deal. In fact, the data says it's been the opposite for PSU. Stats obviously don't win games, but here's to hoping that we expand their White-Out Top-15 record to 2-8.
  11. Epic Beavis choke. They actually had enough talent to win that game but the staff is completely inept. Does 2-10 still get a bowl birth if they threaten a lawsuit?
  12. Beavis, I know your kicker wiffed a couple, but kick the FG + do not go for it on 1st down! College GameDay - Good Humor Men or Mob Bosses? The top 7-ranked portal teams were undefeated before last night, before the Seminole (😁) loss at UVA. Rebound FSU, and take down Mari-oh-oh next Saturday! Dilly wins another close game, this time against No. 24-ranked TCU. I'll be back early AM, at the conclusion of my unfortunate for watching sports time of day. 🤬 Go Ducks! Spank Frank and his Nits-Wits!
  13. Lavar Arrington: Penn State, of course. McAfee: Penn State Saban: Penn State Herbie: Penn State Dez Howard: Oregon We gotta show them ALL!
  14. Oregon 27-23 2 to 2 sacks 247 yards I'm hoping PSU has to settle for one more field goal than we do. I almost never am close to the under, but I think PSU's offense isn't good enough this year, and their defense is better enough for a no Tez Johnson Ducks offense to get us off the field more often.
  15. We appreciate the support. With a little luck, Jedd Fisch and Demond Williams will be Gators next year, something we'd all be happy about.
  16. Fell asleep last night as the Beavs actually looked like a football team before the half. Woke up this morning and found out the Beavs are still the Beavs.
  17. It's a real mixed bag of opinions. Some analysts and fans from other teams think it is one of the most intimidating environments in college football. I'm of the opinion that only predators in the great rift valley find the color white intimidating. White is a light, bright airy happy color, appropriate for Happy Valley. As I've said before, white is literally the away team's color, so they are dressed up in solidarity with the away team. Not exactly intimidating. It will be exciting, it will be 120+ dB loud, but the white out part is not intimidating. Virginia Tech's entrance to Metallica's Enter Sandman with the fans jumping in a frenzy, THAT'S intimidating. An then there is Dan Lanning and his sidekick sports psychologist's led team that can convert any aggressive atmosphere into motivational energy to play their best, like some kind of alchemy. The real impact of a white out is PSU's players showing up hyper motivated and playing up to the occasion (something everyone agrees they have to do since they've sucked to this point in the season).
  18. PSU may want to consult with Michigan and tOSU about how little OBD cares about their overwhelming home field advantages. After watching last years over the top Ducks vs Them from the Michigan game, I can't even imagine what motivational magic Lanning has come up with this time.
  19. This bandwagon has a ton of room, as besides....you're already one of us! We enjoy your thoughts here, as this could be a special season for Oregon.
  20. Backs sure aren't shy about reminded us that they're still there. Hope yours quiets down so you can think about other pleasant topics for awhile. Hoping today we all get to sit back and enjoy OBD sending some sad Lions back to their Sad Valley caves.
  21. Since PSU started their vaunted "White Out" games in 2004, I thought I'd take a look at the data. Against Top-15 teams during White Out games, PSU has a combined crap record of 2 Wins & 7 Losses. The word "Overrated" comes to mind.
  22. Great clip. Something tells me that Moore gets more than 2-3 targets today. Also gets more than 2-3 highlights. Can't wait to see some creative play calling today leaving the stunned home fans white as ghosts.
  23. Sorry to hear this, Charles. But I'm also glad that you didn't get out there to PA and have your back go out on you 3,000 miles from home. It sounds like you are now on a path with a good treatment plan. Wishing you all the best, tremendous healing, and many blessings Ps. And thanks for the reminder to do my stretching this morning. Daily stretching has been a game/life changer for me.
  24. Welcome to the O(ur)B(eloved)D(ucks) fan club...even if only for a year. Beware though! You maybe, just maybe might run into a OBD fan, or two, with some PTSD, chas'n that elusive "Natty". Lol. But some GREAT football none the less. GO DUCKS. 🦆
  25. You can have multiple neck surgeries but only one back surgery in your life. That should tell us how complicated and serious back injuries can be. I've seen older guys that have such a bad back that they are permanently hunched over. It's painful to watch them walk. Take care of yourself Charles. Go to the game in 2028. Sure you might miss the first win during the Whiteout this year, but you'll get to see the second.
