15-2 Ducks after six innings, and Grayson Grinsell should be proud of a superb six innings of work. I am a HAPPY CAT Again! -

14-2 Oregon after five innings! Grinsell gave up two runs to Michigan, so Our Beloved Ducks come out and score six in the inning. Dominic Hellman hits a GRAND SLAM that clears the visiting team bullpen area and goes into the parking lot! Whew! - Today

OMIGOSH! 8-0 Ducks after four innings! The Michigan pitcher had a good ERA of 3.74 coming into this game, but Our Beloved Ducks have been hammering him. So sweet, as this team NEEDS it! You don't hit the foul pole every day... -

5-0 Ducks after three innings. Boy it was a pitchers duel to start, and Grayson Grinsell has continued to keep the Wolverines scoreless, but the warmer 65 degree air warmed up the Oregon bats. Two home runs in the third inning, as Anson Aroz has hit dingers in five games straight now. Whew! -
0-0 after one inning, as both starting pitchers look good. Grayson Grinsell had a rough start to the season, but has recovered and brought his ERA down to 3.46 and we need great pitching today. I know...I am a glutton for punishment, or... I Might as Well Face it....I'm Addicted to DUCKS!

Ma’ake is beginning to mature at the plate, getting patient, and leaving the low, inside stuff alone. Because of that, she’s making better contact, and her power is translating higher percentage pitches into home runs, even on partial follow-through. Potentially, she’s the most dangerous bat the team has seen in years. -
My take is their short term greed killed them along with a commissioner more concerned about her job existing than the conference being successful. There was a moment in time when the PAC brand might have still relatively resonated, that they needed to immediately reverse merge with the MWC and negotiate a media deal that might have fetched $15-20m per team. But they took the short term cash hoping for who knows what. Now they’re holding onto a brand nobody cares about while creating a hostile and competitive market with the MWC. Well done piggies!

The House Settlement Hearings Begin On Monday, April 7, 2025

This excellent article by Dennis Dodd cites why CFB is undervalued. One reason, the wheat, the Power 2, has yet to separate from the chaff, the ACC, B12, the Group of 6, and the NCAA and capitalize on their place in college sport's pecking order. Why should the biggest of the B1G and the SEC tie themselves into a settlement that caps direct payment to athletes at $20.5M? Of course, this amount will be exceeded by well-managed NIL collectives, but being held back by Cincinnati for example, being able to come up with $20.5M is absurd. The B1G and the SEC formed an 'Advisory Group' for a reason. The two have separated financially from the pack. So, why enter into a settlement along with 'competitors' not able to compete with you? The NCAA's best interests are not financially aligned with the Power 2's best interests. Is college football undervalued? America's second-most popular game still leaving billions on the table - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Ripe for venture capitalists and mega streaming deals down the line, college football's bottom line is getting astronomical The B1G and the SEC do not need to peddle their respective equity to Investment (Vultures) Bankers to survive. The two conferences working together have a positive economic future not shared by lesser conferences. With a new administration in place, be bold, recognize a players' collective, bargain with the collective, and go to Congress for relief from litigation. Relief that is not afforded by the House settlement. I'm sorry to wallow in business matters but the House settlement will change the college sports business paradigm and the B1G and the SEC should not be tied down by an agreement that in theory, benefits the collective. -
There are 28 sports that the B1G competes in, and thus far the championships have been completed in 17 of those sports. Teams from the former Pac-12 of Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA have won SEVEN of those 17 championships thus far, with Our Beloved Ducks winning four of them. With eleven more championships to go in the academic year...the west coast teams, especially UCLA, will prosper in the spring sports. Will the former Pac-12 teams end up winning more B1G titles, than any other set of four original B1G members? Either the West-Coast-Four are a new Pain-in-Their-Side, or "Adding Prestige to the B1G?" The only ranked B1G teams in Baseball are UCLA and Oregon... You're OUT, Bruin!

I honestly feel worse about the basketball team's loss to Arizona in the Round of 32, than I do the Rose Bowl against osu2. The Buckeyes, for reasons we all see now, won the Natty, they were a great team. Arizona lost in the next round. The Rose Bowl was over after 5 minutes. In the game against Arizona, the Ducks had a 15 point lead before the 1st half was half over, by halftime Arizona was ahead. Choking is usually reserved for a singular moment, at the end of the game. But the basketball team, "Choked" at the free throw line, for the entire game. They thought they had it won when they got the big lead. But Arizona was not nervous at all, they knew Oregon was SOFT. and they just went out and took over the game.
