  1. Past hour
  2. This is a thread to announce and consolidate players leaving and coming in to the Ducks football program.
  3. Dan Lanning actively clears space for transfers and recruits out of high school. He’s not the only one. College football programs are no longer in the business of giving four year scholarships. They cut players for various reasons, but mostly because of lack of improvement. I’m sure DL had some tough conversations with some these transfers telling them they’re not in his future plans. Others went looking for a starting job and rightfully so. Florence, Fields, Laulea and Lopa can start at a lot of places. Purchase might be the only one he may have tried to convince to stay, but with Matayo and Teitum coming back and Nasir Wyatt making big plays Blake may have saw the writing on the wall.
  4. Matayo is also coming back.
  5. On a positive note we just landed a former 5-star TE transfer from Penn State. This is probably why Ploog hit the portal today.
  6. I think this is a good choice for him...he needs to refine his pass rush. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/matayo-uiagalelei-staying-in-eugene-oregon-secures-another-defensive-cornerstone-270521613/
  7. Today
  8. Probably why Blake Purchase just hit the portal.
  9. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/teitum-tuioti-is-back-oregons-defensive-star-announces-return-for-2026-270516721/
  10. His transfer might have something to do with this.
  11. When Raiola was committed to Georgia, several of the QB gurus on the board hoped that he would flip arguing that he was all arm talent and a statue in the pocket. That pretty much proved to be the case at Nebraska where he avoided having to sit on the bench behind Beck,, another QB in the same mold with even more arm talent. I think the Ducks are far better off with Dante should he choose to return. He should show improvement (if not many rushing yards) in his second year as a starter and that may work out just "ducky".
  12. He seems to be a player in the mold of Tez. Slot receiver with very quick moves. We already have burners in DKM, MacMillan, and Bair when he comes in. Having that ultra-quick slot route runner will be a huge addition.
  13. Blake Purchase's sack of the TT quarterback was a thing of beauty. He won't have to wait long for a new team.
  14. Blake Purchase to enter transfer portal (joining QB Luke Moga on Sunday) OLB Purchase's 352 defensive snaps were 14th for Oregon, 3rd among edge defenders With 16 scholarship and 2 PWO transfers so far Oregon has lost players that saw a combined 879 defensive snaps and 621 offensive snaps, per PFF. There is definitely some error with jersey number misattribution but it's minimal. Oregon at 79 projected scholarship players in 2026 Zach Grace is a backup tight-end, redshirt sophomore, from Kearney, Missouri
  15. I saw this as well. Oregon has done well with WR’s from Alabama G5 schools.
  16. Yeah, I just now saw it on X. He, Blake Purchase and some guy named Grace announced today.
  17. If Dante leaves for the NFL I would prefer Leavitt over Raiola. If Dante stays then Raiola since he's indicated the willingness to sit for a year. At the end of the day the chips will just fall where they may and Drew will need to adjust appropriately. That being said, if they're running the same offense next season I feel like it does better with a true dual threat QB. Nix did it the best, Gabriel was pretty good too. Dante unfortunately is a pure pocket passer, he doesn't do much with his legs other than a handful of designed QB runs and even then he's pretty slow despite him not being a huge guy.
  18. Resigned Kansas State coach Chris Klieman discusses why he "retired." Portal management got to him. https://themercury.com/k_state_sports/id-die-if-i-kept-doing-this-job-former-k-state-fb-coach-talks-about/article_213a7517-5d35-4d71-9658-4f97136a52ce.html Obviously Saban has talked about the current state of affairs. Saban was 3-3 in his 6 CFP championship games. It makes one wonder whether his record would have been impacted if he had the constant churn of roster that coaches face today? Would his teams have made 6 appearances? He always lost guys to the NFL, but what if he was also losing 15-20 more guys voluntarily entering the portal? (As of this morning with Moga, Oregon has 15 guys that entered)
  19. Moga entered the portal?? I completely missed that! He'd probably be a good fit in the Big12, maybe with even with Texas Tech.
  20. It is great to look for the positives, but I simply observed that OBD were seriously outplayed and out coached in the 2 most important games in the last 2 seasons. In most of the games against better teams, our offense struggled. Our stats got improved playing Montana State and Oklahoma State, and we get Portland State next season, but against decent foes we were less than impressive. Looking forward to a new OC.
  21. Moga entered the portal on Sunday, joining Novosad. So, Dante is coming back? Or, they are pretty confident someone else is coming in to step in front of them? Akili Jr. is on the roster waiting. Bryson Beaver is coming in as a freshman who would seem unlikely to step in front.
  22. Last man out, don't forget to turn off the lights. 😁 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-transfer-portal-west-virginia-florida-state-most-departures-2026/
  23. ESPN's First Look at the Champ Game - ESPN.comCFP National Championship first look: Previewing Miami-In...How either Miami or Indiana can win the title, plus X factors for both teams.
  24. It seems LSU is moving on from Leavitt. This could be due to the Demond Williams debacle or Leavitt wanting to wait and see what happens with Dante. He could also sign with Miami. He is visiting them right now. Husan Longstreet is also in play for OBD, but Kiffin is hosting him this weekend. There are options if Moore goes pro. Raiola would be the least favorable because he’s still recovering from a knee injury which is why he might be willing to sit behind Dante as the article states.
  25. In reading the entire article, I realized that I skimmed over that Raiola was on campus! That's a pretty big deal. Definitely some mutual interest. Oregon is becoming QB-U for the NFL and people are noticing.
