  2. Great article. I had an interesting conversation with a Bobcats fan at a restaurant post game. I told him I thought they actually looked pretty good as they didn’t really have many breakdowns and give up huge chunk or game changers minus the punt blocks. I told him the reason for the lop sided score was more due to the Ducks simply winning one play after another on both sides of the ball. Four and five star guys doing four and five star things all day long will do that. This game reminded me a lot of the Georgia game for the same reasons. It really felt like nearly every player deserved MVP for how solid they all played throughout the game. Montana St looked like a well coached and disciplined team that ran into another well coached and disciplined team with much more fire power. No shame in that. I think this may be the beginning of a special season.

  4. Notable quotes in Dan Lanning's weekly press conference before the Oklahoma State gameWith a game under their belt, the Oregon Ducks have a lot more substantial things to look at, improve upon, and actual game film from their first Division I opponent of the season in Oklahoma State. Coming off of a Week 1 win against Montana State where the Bobcats were dominated 59-13, we saw a lot of great things from Oregon, particularly the young players on the roster who had a chance to get out and prove themselves for the first time.

  7. Thanks Alex for the Article today. Your picks are worthy of your recognition. The whole team was worthy! The first pick for me would be A'Mauri Washington and the defensive line. From the first play and on they took away the run for Montana State! Honorable mention would be the running back room, expecially the freshman Jordon Davison for his 3 touchdowns. Thanks again Alex for all your writing.
  8. MYSTERY? Oregon's Running Back Room in FLUX | Will Maka Hughes EVER see the field? The biggest surprise for Oregon's offense to fans on Saturday was the lack of action for Tulane transfer RB Makhi Hughes.
  9. Coach Gundy exaggerated a lot. But if it makes himself feel better, go for it. It seems he’s already making excuses before the game even starts. 11. Ducks Versus Them: Ante UpThe cinematic recap from Oregon video came out for week one Monday night, and it never disappoints. In the meetings leading up to the season opener Dan Lanning tells his team that it's time to '"ante up" for Game One. As fans file into Autzen Stadium from the River Walk, exchanging high fives with The Duck,Jerry Allen provides the voiceover from the radio broadcast. "Well it was a historic year, Big Ten Champions." "Parking lot beginning to fill up. The leaves are beginning to admit they don't have much time left. But Duck fans, you've got lots of time to enjoy Duck football." "It's the noise, it's the excitement. It's what we wait for each and every year. Dan Lanning said as the Ducks look forward to the 2025 season, they're looking to double down in a lot of ways." In a meeting Dan Lanning tells the team, "To double down, you've got to be in the game. Our mindset: Ante Up." That music. We've grown to know what it means. 12. You'd think A Man over 40 would have slightly more sense. 🤪Cents? "Died on Saturday, Buried on Sunday. This is the end, Of Solomon (Mike) Gundy." 😁
  13. Our Oregon football program opened the season with a trouncing of Montana State, 59-13, in Autzen. Now, let’s get this out of the way right away: Both Oregon’s offense and defense played outstandingly in week one. This was as good a performance as I’ve seen the Ducks have in at least the last ten seasons, if not more. The offense ... Oregon Football: Player of the Week Against Montana State
  14. I would like to live in an alternate timeline where Auburn missed that kick in the 2010 Title game and Oregon wins it. That's 15 years ago!! Auburn fans are crying about their long long stretch, heck Alabama is complaining about five years. I think that once you get that first taste you will desire a second and a third. But I do hope you guys win one why Phil is still around. I hope you and all my Duck friends here live to see a few ( as long as it isn't at the Gators expense). To me 2008 feels like two lifetimes ago. I've been lucky enough to see Florida win titles in 3 of the biggest college sports in my lifetime.
  15. Luke Moga was the QB on that play. It was 52 - 6 at that point, and the Ducks are burning clock. It is another formation that future opponents will need to review. That formation makes it difficult for defensive backs to see the hand off, and then react to the running back. More of an educated guess on their part.
  16. ROC boys on YouTube commented how Montana State deliberately played a defensive scheme to limit explosive plays (nothing over the top). Oklahoma State with Todd Grantham as DC is extremely aggressive with pressure (remember the ASU teams that brought the house every play?) So this will be great to see how Dante handles pressure as well as how he, Dakorien Moore, Sadiq, and Benson can take the top off a defense. We'll probably see a lot more Mahki Hughes since he is the best pass rush blocking RB.
  17. In another embarrassing opener, it's TCU 48 -14 with two minutes left. Other than that, Jordon, how did you enjoy Chapel Bill's first game? UNC will be the 33rd NFL team, right? 🤮This sure looked like the Pats after Tommy left for Tampa. 😁 How about the shot of Bill without Brady working at a Dunkin' Donuts 🤣. National reaction after Bill Belichick's shocking college football debut OK, I'm piling on, but I'm a disgruntled Pats fan. Mr. UNC AD, have a really nice day. 😊
  18. oregonliveMike Gundy repeatedly cites how much money Oregon is spen...There is a significant financial gap between Oregon and Oklahoma State and Mike Gundy mentioned it nearly a half dozen times before the Cowboys comes to play the Ducks.Gundy has reinstated his star freshman linebacker in spite of the multiple shoplifting charges against him. Inside word is that some petty theft will be tolerated since OSU can't pay the same NIL that the big boys do, and the players gotta eat. According to Coach Solomon Gundy, Oregon (ahem, Uncle Phil) paid over $40 mil last year to pack that roster. He did say he "might be off a few million". James Crepea laid it all out in dollars and let the numbers speak for themselves. Not quite the picture Coach would have us believe, especially after a 3-9 2024 season and goose egg in the Big 12, and considering the pay cut he had to take to stay put and retain staff. Whatever happened to T Boone's legacy?
