  1. Past hour
  2. Couldn't agree more. Yesterday, Michigan State kind of was the exception that proves the rule. Congrats to them for the win. But Sinicki isn't going to bobble a grounder like that again, and in the 6th, Oregon gets the bases loaded, but doesn't score? It looks like Lombardi handled it perfectly, you're going to lose sometimes, and the response was expected and delivered.
  3. Big Ten Network does a fantastic job of covering the games and celebrations. They stayed around showing the players celebrating with the fans and with each other. Multiple interviews also shown. I'm happy for Coach Lombardi getting her first league title. Hopefully the first of many.
  4. Agreed. When they are THAT good, I just have to tip my hat. It was not fair to Grayson Grinsell, as he only gave up one earned run, (a dropped flyball) and pitched all the innings for Oregon.
  5. Now that's more like it. 2 home runs for Neville, increasing his lead. Walsh didn't get a stolen base, but did get a home run. Drew Smith has been the consistent so far this series. More credit again to Dzierwa yesterday.
  6. Ducks win 13-5, as Ian Umlandt finished off the game, and kept Michigan State scoreless again. Carter Garate beat out the throw on an infield single, and then Mason Neville put up his 23rd home run of the season to score both!
  7. More popular? Absolutely. Better? Doesn't equate. Skill sets, Sabrina>Caitlyn. Charter flights Caitlyn>Sabrina
  8. Today
  9. 11-5 Ducks after eight innings, as Ian Umlandt gives up some hits, but keeps them scoreless for the inning. Anson Aroz hits a homer to give Oregon a run to extend the lead over Michigan State!
  10. 10-5 Ducks after seven innings, Ian Umlandt comes in and gives up a couple of hits and a run to Michigan State. Burke-Lee Mabeus hits a slow-roller to the shortstop, and beats the throw to first base for the infield single. Then he steals second, and Ryan Cooney hits a sacrifice fly to right field to move Mabeus to third base. Carter Garate then does a perfect sacrifice bunt down the first-base line to score Mabeus!
  11. Ducks leading 9-0 in the 4th inning. 3 home runs already.
  12. But, when CC gets her shot in the Olympics, will she come through like Sabrina?
  13. Oregon Ducks Recruiting SECRET WEAPON! Man Behind the Curtain
  14. 9-4 Ducks after six innings, as Collin Clarke returned and held Michigan State scoreless again. He is up to 95 pitches, so while I assume this is the extent of his arm--he IS still looking good. Jacob Walsh splashed a home run in the river behind the Spartan Park to add another for Oregon!
  15. 8-4 Ducks after five innings, as Collin Clarke looks confident putting down the Spartan side. He has 79 pitches, and I wonder if he will come out for the sixth? I say...yes, to go with what you know versus the unknown. Ryan Cooney kept his hot hitting streak going with a double that skids weirdly on a hill this park has in front of the fence? Odd...but it put him on second, as Mason Neville comes up and hits his Nation-Leading 22nd home run of the year that scores he and Cooney.
  16. You know when every team that had a bye in the playoff loses, the 25 day delay had everything to do with it. I don’t believe OBD would have won the second game, but I certainly believe the game would have been far closer than what we witnessed in January.
  17. 6-4 Ducks after four innings. You never know...bringing a pitcher back, but Clarke kept the Spartans scoreless for this inning, and he could go longer into the game. Ryan Cooney hit the first pitch for a line drive into shallow left field. Next Oregon executed a perfect hit-and-run with Carter Garate line driving a single to shallow right field, while Cooney jets to third base from first. Against a new pitcher, Mason Neville hits a pud-hit to the pitcher...who over throws first and scored Cooney. Dominic Hellman grounds out, but scores Garate. We had more action--but left bases-loaded stranded...
  18. Ok, it’s time to burst this bubble. I love Ionscu. Absolutely love her. She got her title in Clark’s debut year, and I can’t even go into how angry I am that Sabrina didn’t get her cbb title or why. It’s that egregious and insidious. However, Caitlin Clark is Steph Curry 2.0. Now. You don’t have to wait five years, you don’t have to wait three. Caitlin Clark is going to obliterate every WNBA record that stands. She is beyond Kobe, Magic, Bird, and Wilt. That girl is already Michael Jordan material, and she is a brand my dear Sabrina will never outshine. I’m all for being a homer, but there absolutely is no comparison to what Caitlin Clark has already done for the WNBA, and who is the better player. And if you want to debate that, tell me how Clark was the one that got EVERY WNBA TEAM charter flights one month into her career, while Sabrina hadn’t in four years. Not to mention TV viewership is beyond the stratosphere, and Sabrina doesn’t come close to packing arenas like Clark does. Caitlin Clark is already more popular than Lebron. You know, the world wide brand of the NBA. Sorry guys, Sabrina is a star, Clark is a supernova.
  19. 4-4 after three innings. Crap…they are hitting Clarke well.
  20. 4-2 Ducks after two innings, as Clarke walked, gave up a hit, and then a triple to score two. Gotta keep scoring!
  21. 4-0 Ducks after the first inning! Holy crap...what a difference a pitcher makes, as yesterday--the Michigan State pitcher was simply stunning. Today's starter has an ERA at nearly 6.00, and there is a reason as Oregon is beating him immediately. Our Beloved Ducks have more hits in the first inning today, than the entire game yesterday, and it gives Clarke some breathing room. Mason Neville walked, and the Dominic Hellman hit a double, so we have runners on second and third...in only two batters! Drew Smith then hits a line drive between the outfielders to score Neville,...and then Smith steals second base! Anson Aroz hits a sacrifice fly to score Hellman, and later Smith steals third base. Maddox Molony walks, and Burke-Lee Mabeus hits a slow dribbler in the infield that takes too much time for the MSU third baseman to scoop it up and fire to 1st Base in time. Meanwhile...Drew Smith scores from third while this happens. Then Ryan Cooney nails a pitch that would have gone into the right field corner, but it hit the first-base ump and rolled into the outfield. No matter as Molony scored regardless. What a fantastic start!
  22. Yes. $10M a year man, Lincoln Riley, cannot recruit, so SC hired a football GM, Chad Bowden from Notre Dame, at a cost of $1M a year. So far, Troy has seen an excellent return on the Bowden investment. Bowden's system has invigorated recruiting. With the help of AD Jen Cohen, Bowden has aligned SC's NIL collective. Since Bowden's arrival, recruiting is looking more like the Pete Carroll days than the Clay Helton days. It's early yet, but USC's 2026 class is ranked No. 1 in the country, including a QB flipped from OBD and a CB signed Friday who was down to SC and OBD. I don't believe the improvement in recruiting is a mirage, a flash in the pan. An SC with its Sierra together will be in play for the athletes Oregon has brought in from California and elsewhere. SC has been a CFB power whenever it put the right people in the right spots. I'm not impressed by Riley as an HC, but given the talent to work with, the SC coaching staff is solid, including the new S&C coach SC just hired. SC was 1-5 in one-possession games in 2024, including games vs. Penn State and Notre Dame, where self-inflicted wounds led to the Ls. And Troy's scheduling savvy has improved. It still has the Domers OOC, but Ole Miss and SC canceled their H+H series that would have seen the Trojans opening against the Rebels in LA on 8/30/25. Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and USC are the five B1G teams that have and will continue to have Blue Chip Rosters. "Sleeping Giant' is overused in CFB, but not in the case of Southern Cal. SC will be 4-0 when it plays at Illinois in Week 5 and has the next Saturday off before Michigan comes to LA in Week 7. OK, JJ, are you happy now? No.
  23. Has Faded Glory hired a new recruiting guru? Riley has proved nothing for multiple years... Hard to believe he suddenly has found sparkling in a (sun block) bottle...
  24. At some point will the weight of USuC's talent overcome Riley's inexorable pursuit of mediocrity?
  25. I think your missing one player from this list. Freshman guard J.J. Frakes stands 6'5 and weighs 190 lbs. Unless I've missed something, he will be playing for the Ducks this upcoming season.
