  1. While I am hoping for the season JDuck predicts, I am thinking we will see more like:

    Team results

    W-L: 14-2

     Conf title: win P12

Bowl prediction: CFP win 1, lose 1

    Offensive results

    Ppg: 42

    Ypg: 505

    TOs: 5

    Defensive results

    Ppg: 24.3

    Ypg: 300

Take aways: 12, 2 pic six!  Defense pitches 2 shutouts and becomes feared by November.

That said,  this year’s team has Natty potential if we catch a couple breaks and the ball bounces our way!

    Go Ducks!

  2. Beaver hatred of all things Duck has always been rooted in jealousy.  It is always easier to blame someone else.

When they point their finger at the Ducks for Beaver deficiencies, how many fingers in their hand are pointing back at themselves?

How is it Oregon’s fault that the BIG did not want the SU’s from the northwest?

As noted above, until OSU and WSU address their own problems, they are doomed to mediocrity. I for one can live without the game formerly known as the civil war, but understand it was the Beavs that pulled the plug on it, not the Ducks.

  3. It would definitely help with travel and with non football sports, but I think it would have to happen before USuC get their full member vote.

I just don’t see those whining cheat bags approving anything that could benefit the Ducks in any way, shape, or form.  Even if it would benefit them as well.

    They are simply too petty.😏

I think many Oregon state fans would blame Oregon no matter what to be honest.

There is a section of their fan base that hates all things Ducks at an insane level. In some cases it makes our hatred for the Huskies look quaint.

Beaver fans will ALWAYS try to blame Oregon first, for anything that happens.

The alternative is that the blame lies upon Oregon State University itself for years (decades) of failing to field anything resembling an exciting or competitive  team to watch.

  5. “A really big emphasis on faith and family” in my mind, is supporting an athlete in their faith (whatever it may be) and their family (whatever they may look like).

Both are important, and supporting or emphasizing does not necessarily mean any particular one is placed above another, it just means he (DL) recognizes the value of faith and family.

  6. Thanks David!  ‘Trojan tears on Rich Brooks Field’ is a beautiful way to make any Duck fan’s day!  Keep up the good work!

USuCk’s bitter hatred of Oregon’s success comes from their deep feelings of being ‘has been’ as opposed to the mutt’s hatred coming from a feeling of ‘never been.’

Either way, it is hilariously satisfying to hear their jealously driven whine reach a crescendo that is as pathetic as it is funny!

  7. Charles, The funny part isn’t that the Huskies fans are not very smart (they definitely are not), it is that they really, really believe they are!

Their delusion is both pathetic and funny at the same time.  I am pretty sure it is tied to their academic prowess!

    and welcome back amcdawg!

Frankly, I'm sick athletes pounding themselves on the chest after a good play. (I guess that's easier than patting themselves on the back, eh?)

Give me Barry Sanders, who understood a few things about the beauty of humility.

Or MM#8, hand the ball to the ref and trot back to your sideline. Classy and made a whole lot more powerful statement.

  9. Great thread HaywardDuck, thanks!

IMHO, the team culture will not be 100% Lanning’s until his selected playmakers are fully in charge of the locker room, mentoring the new guys. That is probably gong to happen sooner rather than later.

Respectfully, I am not looking for a “west-coast version of the Bulldog defense” as Charles mentions, I am hoping to see an Oregon version of a  Lanning inspired Defense (with a capital D).

The pieces are starting to fall into place for an edge rushing nightmare with a lock down and opportunistic secondary.  The Duck D will get a chance to prove themselves this year against arguable the best QB conference in the nation.

    Go Ducks!

Gotta agree with that statement 2002duck!

When was the last time we had a backup who could take over and run the offense?  Herbie when Prukop (sp) was playing?

  11. I am shocked! USuC whine bags whining?  Who would thought it..

Oh wait, that would be all of us here!

and the clown from LA calling Eugene garbage?  Seriously?  Has he ever looked in his back yard?

Notice they are not (yet) blaming poor recruiting on the ridiculous travel times they will have for away games starting in 2024?
