Did he? It looks like the ball fell down on the inside of his right arm and now the ground. -

Fantastic pass by Dillon and fantastic catch by Stewart in the tiniest window I've seen in a while! -

I hope Tez is ok, he just went back to the locker room. Stewart, Lowe, and Siddiq will need to pick up the slack. -

Strong start for the defense! The is one of the biggest stages in the B10. I don't want OBD to just beat Michgan, I want them to completely demoralize the Wolverines. That'll wake up all the B10 pundits who keep underestimating Oregon. -

OBD 41-14 2 3 295 -
The B10 "blue bloods" don't like the whole "big and strong" conference narrative shattered by a newcomer in their very first year.

The way it's going, this may very well be the case. I don't think it's an accident that DL's defense is really humming in his 3rd year as HC. I've always withheld summary judgements of new head coaches until the 3rd year of their tenures simply because it takes time to implement all their plans for the program. The 1st year is spent primarily evaluating the current roster and then getting the types of players you need to fit your schemes and developing them to the point where they *could* carry out their duties for their respective positions. In the midst of all that the base schemes are implemented. In the 2nd year player development continues and as they have gotten comfortable in the base sets, intermediate level schemes are introduced. By the 3rd year, you have a solid group of experienced players that are ready to practice and execute the most advanced plays within the program. That's where we are now. This is, of course, a pretty optimistic timeline even in the best of circumstances as there are so many variables involved in developing and maintaining a football program (especially a large one like Oregon). But DL, despite having no prior experience as HC, is right on track. That to me is simply amazing.

tOSU is clearly struggling, if PSU and James Franklin are going to get that elusive Buckeye win it's right now.

Who Should Duck Fans Pull For: tOSU or Penn St?
kirklandduck replied to EastBayDuckDad's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This. tOSU winning makes Oregon's resume better, eliminates Penn St from the B10 championship game, and will result in either tOSU or Indiana as the Ducks' opponent at the end of the regular season. It also eliminates the very real (and ridiculous) possibility of being undefeated but still being left out of the conference title game because of the tiebreaker rules. -
Michigan QB says "Bring 'Em On" about Oregon

That might be true but if Illinois can beat them 21-7 then I think Oregon can do more than that. -

I like the kid's confidence. It's the perfect thing to shatter across that football field. -

It would be hilarious and delicious irony if Riley ended up as an Oregon OC in the future lol -

Bret is a really solid coach, he just doesn’t have the horses to compete at the top tier of the conference. Understandable given that Illinois isn’t the recruiting destination that Wisconsin is. -

Oregon On Target to Sign No.1 Ranked Player in 2026
kirklandduck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
When it rains, it pours! Oregon Ducks football recruiting favorite for No. 1 QB in 2026 class DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 1 QB in the 2026 class, says... On Monday afternoon, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported that 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 1 QB in the nation, is favoring the Ducks above all other schools at this point in his recruitment. Curtis is rated as the No. 6 overall player in the class of 2026, and he stands at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds. Last week, Curtis announced his decommitment from the Georgia Bulldogs, so his recruitment is still in the early stages. -
DL is the reason I'm feeling the most confident about our coach not leaving in a long time. He's expressed both privately with the team and publicly that he's staying in Eugene until Oregon kicks him out. Given his young age, his tenacity, motivation, and passion for the program it just leaves me feeling giddy about what the next 5 years are going to be like. That being said, I'm sure the level of success is going to ebb and flow (12+ wins every single season isn't really a realistic expectation). But my gut tells me that DL will always have the program functioning like a well oiled machine year after year, making it a consistent threat to the blue bloods for the foreseeable future.

BIG Tie Breaking Scenarios, Ducks Should be Fine
kirklandduck replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The difference being that we, as Oregon fans, knew better about the substance of OBD. Watching Indiana videos on YouTube they certainly look impressive, particularly when compared to last season's performance. However if you look at their schedule: Record/Team 2-5 FIU 3-4 Western IL 2-5 UCLA 3-4 Charlotte 4-3 Maryland 3-4 Northwestern 5-2 Nebraska Combined 22-27 Only 2 teams with winning records, one of them just barely so. Their most impressive win is of course is Nebraska which has feasted on bad teams but lost both of their ranked games (Illinois and Indiana) and is also starting a true freshman QB who is showing both flashes of great talent and growing pains. If Oregon somehow meets Indiana in the B10 championship I expect they'll make a real game out of it but TBH I like Oregon's chances in that scenario. But first they need to get past Ohio State.
