  1. It sucks waiting so long to watch a game. But I know it's to Oregon's advantage to have such a long layoff, plenty of time to prep and get healthy. I'm hoping Marcus Harper will be ready to go by January 1st, I'd feel better about the OL once he's back.
  2. Northwestern cornerback Theran Johnson transfers to Oregon Ducks WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The Ducks have added a second defensive back in the transfer...
  3. This is the bigger, rangey safety that DL has needed for a while now. No offense to Tysheem (who has performed admirably this season), we're at a disadvantage covering talented 6'5"+ TEs with a 5'10" safety. Penn St. and Michigan showed us that.
  4. Isn't the Orange Bowl in Florida somewhere? If so, Oregon fans would need to travel twice as far as Texas fans. Talk about skewing odds...I wish they would just make it a home game for the higher seed every year.
  5. Even better that he would be a multi-year player and not just a one and done!
  6. Yup, I've always thought the CFP should have expanded to either 8 or 16 teams. 12 was just a weird and awkward number to me.
  7. This. Every transition to a new QB takes time. Both Nix and Gabriel needed almost half a season in their first years before they got comfortable in the offense (and that's with 4-5 years already under their belts). If it's Moore or Novasad it may take longer given their youth and inexperience, that makes the Indiana and Penn St. games dangerous since they're in the 1st half of the season. Penn St is a road game in week 5 right before Oregon's first bye week so I might chalk up that one as the most likely loss in the schedule.
  8. Personally I hope he takes his time and waits it out for a better opportunity. He's been a decent RB coach so far but also his family connection to the Duncanville HS staff in Texas is a huge advantage. It's like having your dad as the HC at Mater Dei in Cali, a big advantage in recruiting. I'm not sure Dakorian Moore comes to Oregon if that weren't the case.
  9. Evidently there was also no cap on the number of tickets a person could buy, causing them to sell out even faster. Scalpers are probably having a heyday. Oregon Ducks Face Severe Backlash From Fans After Rose Bowl Ticket Fiasco - Athlon Sports
  10. Reports coming out that he's one of six finalists for the HC position at Sam Houston State. Oregon Ducks Coach Favored to Land New Job Ahead of College Football Playoff - Athlon Sports
  11. Third time’s the charm I suppose.
  12. If he has an ounce of patience he will, Akili too. Austin however might transfer out if Dante wins the job.
  13. Not to mention, Nashville is only 380 miles from Columbus and is almost a straight shot on the interstate to get there. I anticipate a LOT of orange at the game no matter the situation.
  14. That's interesting. I wonder how much patience he'll have for recruiting.
  15. While he's shown some really nice highlights, I don't think he has the stats to back up a high draft grade. I think it would be better for him to come back next season and put up 1,000 yards before trying for the NFL...
  16. The one thing that might happen in the OSU/Tennessee matchup is that it'll be in miserable weather and those two will beat the crap out of each other, creating a somewhat weakened opponent for Oregon the following week.
  17. Joel Klatt goes on The Herd to talk about the terrible CFP bracket setup in depth.
  18. Oregon's unbeaten season so impressed CFP committee that Ducks draw the short straw WWW.USATODAY.COM If this were a better system that made more sense, Ducks' season... Dan Wolken is of the same opinion.
  19. As I recall, years of sheer enormous incompetence.
  20. Joel Klatt takes aim at College Football Playoff committee for 'horrendous' 12-team bracket - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Fox Sports' Joel Klatt sounded off on the first-ever 12-team College... He's upset that Oregon's success is being rewarded with the hardest path to the championship. Of course he's 100% right.
  21. Yeah the author is a complete Trojan homer. He acts like USC and Oregon diverged only since DL got hired...
  22. I think I just stumbled on the article related to this lol Oregon football success shows Dan Lanning is outclassing Lincoln Riley TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Dan Lanning and Oregon are actually doing the things Lincoln Riley was...
  23. Oregon football secures commitment from 4-Star LB Tristan Phillips DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Tristan Phillips, a 4-star linebacker in the class of 2026, has verbally...
