  1. For a minute I thought #1 and #2 were twins lol I'd love to see Jason Brown commit to Oregon. Then OBD would have 3 of their top 5 state recruits, how hilarious would that be?
  2. You're right in the other positions. I'm not so confident at QB given Ty Thompson's limited/lackluster history and Austin Novasad will only be a true freshman. Without a high performing QB at the start, the offense sputters.
  3. Oregon's first foray into the Big10 does come at an awkward time given that they will have to break in a new QB starter (so will the Fuskies and USuCk for that matter). Ironically UCLA might be best positioned offensively if Dante Moore has a season of starts under his belt and develops as expected.
  4. I like that he's a local kid. That being said, he's a lower end 3* kid so my expectations are low. After he comes back from his mission, his additional age maturity may play a factor in faster development once he finally enrolls. Should be interesting to see what happens with him in a few years.
  5. Hopefully Popo stays healthy this year, we need him!
  6. I don't think Cal will be able to survive on $10 million like Stanford could, they don't have a similarly huge endowment of funds to dip into for several years. The B10 would have to offer both of them a decent share or at least Cal (though I don't think Stanford would like that). I could see the the B10 trying to entice Notre Dame to join if they can pull in Stanford.
  7. Pac-12 collapse speculation swirls around Arizona State president Michael Crow amid report WWW.AZCENTRAL.COM Speculation about the reasons for the downfall of the Pac-12 are running rampant. Arizona State president... It's looking like ASU president Michael Crow was the one responsible for coming up that ridiculous $50m per team valuation.
  8. Sanders is the new modern day Hindenburg. Just watch him burst into flames and the entire Colorado football program crash into the Earth.
  9. I'd like to know who that AD is and slap them with a cold fish.
  10. He and I stayed in the same dorm back when I was a freshman. Weird to think of him suddenly being gone...
  11. You're so lucky you have a man cave...my house is chock full of kids and relatives so there's no where to go for any privacy 😛
  12. Housing gets increasingly expensive but it's comforting to know Oregon is living rent-free in USC fans' heads!
  13. Maybe. My general feeling from the article is that arrogance and incompetence from Pac12 university presidents is what destroyed the conference.
  14. ACC exploring possibility of adding Stanford, Cal WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Pac-12 left with 4 members of defections to Big Ten, Big 12
  15. Could the B12 be throwing a lifeline to OSU? Report: Oregon State, San Diego State engage in 'very preliminary' discussions with the Big 12 WWW.ON3.COM The Beavers and Aztecs could end up as the 17th and 18th teams in the Big 12 according to very early reports from...
  16. LS definitely deserves the majority of the blame. But GK also should take on significant blame for his alarmingly aloof attitude and inability to read the room.
  17. I dunno, Brutus is pretty creepy looking too. Imagine that thing staring at you from the opposite end of a dark hallway. *uncomfortable shiver*
  18. One thing in the article that hadn't occurred to me was the possibility of the MWC dissolving ITSELF and then joining the Pac12 to create the merged conference. That gets around the whole $33 million per team separation fee. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the path taken to be able to retain the power 5 status and all the CFP benefits that come with it. They'd obviously be the weakest P5 conference but at this point, the name of the game is survival. They can figure out the growth path (such as it is) later on.
  19. That's less chaotic than I thought it would be lol
  20. ...and retain power 5 status? Could Mountain West and Pac-12 merge into a single, 16-team conference? WWW.SANDIEGOUNIONTRIBUNE.COM Sources say preliminary talks have started on a merger between San Diego State's current conference and the...
  21. I don't think that's a bad idea. The remaining Pac12 and MWC combining to be a super-G5 type of conference would provide a much needed lifeline for OSU/WSU/etc. That could result in a better media deal than what the MWC is currently getting and better than nothing for the Pac12 teams. Now here's the interesting part. The Pac12 is still technically a power 5 conference...unless something with the CFP changes, the theoretical newly formed PAC/MWC could have a representative in the first expanded 12 team CFP field. Could you imagine Jonathan Smith taking the Beavos into a surprise appearance in the playoff?? Given how competitive his team has become, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for him to go undefeated in the new conference and get in.
  22. I’m seeing other reports that the situation is still fluid https://theathletic.com/4748878/2023/08/04/washington-oregon-big-ten-slowed/
  23. Add more fuel to the rumors. If offered, Oregon Ducks will accept Big Ten invite, source says WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM UO would not hesitate in accepting the invite, according to sources.
  24. I don't hate the Apple TV idea, though I wish it were Amazon Prime since I already have that subscription. Then again, I use SlingTV which has the Pac12 Network as a $15 dollar add-on. If I discard that and sign up for a $10 Apple TV subscription I come out $5 ahead. That being said, I agree with Charles where I don't think Apple TV is the sole part of this proposal. There are probably other parts at work here that aren't public yet. I could see Apple TV being the primary holder of content then the Pac12 doing a distribution deal with the CW or ION like the ACC did to get more eyeballs on the conference.
  25. Sanders is a great coach if you consider pounding on FCS teams with FBS talent great coaching
