Flipped over to the ASU game, they're looking really bad against Fresno St. 16-0 FSU at the half.

They always have been. Every year walking around like prima donnas always looking down their noses on other programs. Their fans are a special kind of delirious, rabidly jealous of Oregon's success the last 20 years while U$uC floundered year after year.

Wow CSU playing with a serious chip on their shoulder, love it. Let's see if they can keep it up in the 2nd half.

SEC is looking decidedly weak across the board this year so far.

Florida is pounding Tennessee right now.

Defense is doing its job, as well it should given that this is Hawaii. DBs are holding up relatively well, that's decent progress for that position group. On offense I feel like it's still...off. I know they've scored 34 points relatively easily but given the caliber of opponent this should be expected. I can't quite put my finger on it yet but based on what I'm seeing it looks like the OL still needs more time to gel and Will Stein is still finding his footing with playcalling this offense.

Still feels like the OL is having trouble opening clean lanes for the RBs.

Puppies are destroying MSU, however given the distractions that program is going through that's not surprising.

Don't forget QB runs (or lack thereof). Nix didn't run at all for the first three quarters and I believe that contributed to the offense sputtering in the second and third quarters. When he pulled the ball and ran a few times in the fourth the offense started moving again.

Nothing beats a classic.

Will Stein cannot abandon the QB run like he did in the first three quarters against TT. The offense started off ok in the first quarter but when TT's DC noticed Nix wasn't running at all he started stacking the box to stop Irving and Whittingham and dared Nix to beat them through the air. That nearly worked until Nix finally started pulling the ball a few times in the fourth, then the offense got rolling again. Nix needs to have a few run plays each quarter to keep defenses honest otherwise the offense will continue to be inconsistent.

Who the heck is James Watts?

Not allowing Nix to run the ball greatly limits the offense, making it much more predictable. I know they're trying to protect Bo but they're not going to average 40+ a game without that crucial aspect to keep defenses honest. Things completely opened up in that 4th quarter when he ran the ball a few times.

Offense was terribly inconsistent for large parts of the game and put the defense in some bad situations. But I'm glad it finally started meshing in the 4th quarter. Defense wasn't perfect, not by a long shot. But there was some good penetration into the pocket for some sacks and a couple interceptions. Special teams needs work, specifically getting Amy decent yards on kickoff/punt returns. This game had the same vibes as last season's nailbiter against WSU.

Wow Texas beat Alabama. That should be an interesting conversation on the Tide boards.

Offense really has lot of work to do, particularly the OL.

I actually think the D as pretty good, Kyree Jackson's bad plays not withstanding. The offense sputtering in multiple possessions put the D in bad situations multiple times.
