  1. Maybe they don't change. Arrogance like theirs doesn't dissipate after one loss. Especially one the other team didn't earn.
  2. Don't know if anyone else saw this. But for Urban Meyer to make this statement says a lot about him.And of course our coaching staff. Great time to be a Duck Urban Meyer breaks down Dan Lanning’s 12-man penalty decision: ‘They are playing chess’ WWW.ON3.COM .
  3. The 4th and 2 play looks like a bad call because it failed. Tez was wide open so it was a good play, just bad execution. Had Ohio St. recovered the onside kick many would have called that a bad decision . We recovered, so it was a brilliant call. The challenge with an aggressive coach is just that he is aggressive. So we have live with the outcome positive or negative. The onside kick got us 3 points. The 4th and 2 lost them. But could have got us 7.
  4. Oregon 31-27 1 2 275 Go Ducks!!! Big day for the TEs
  5. Aainst tOSU MSU drove into the red zone on two of their first four possessions. Came away with zero points due to turnover on downs and fumble. Got to the 37 on another of the four and lost another fumble. Outside of the first drive and garbage time, mid fourth quarter, MSU didn't get past the 50 yardline against OBD. Well technically they got to our 48, but lost yards on the next play and were back on their side.
  6. Texas A&M University paid Jimbo Fisher a record $77.6 million to buy out his contract as football coach: Just sayin'
  7. I was yelling exactly that at the t.v. And the worse part is the ref is looking right at it. So frustrating.
  8. Location is definitely a negative. However, I do not think it is as big a negative as it was in the past. The biggest issue with distance has been family being able to see games. With NIL top recruits can afford to fly their families in to see them play. So now it's scheduled vacation time to see new parts of the country.
  9. There is so much to unpack here. And we don't know the details. But let's be clear if the school only paid this young man 3% of what he is owed HE DID NOT QUIT on his team. Dan Lanning has a $7,000,000 contract with the Ducks. Think he would still be coaching at $210,000? Of course that would never happen. But you get the point. The expectation has always been one sided. The player owes the school, but not necessarily the other way around. Well the chickens have come home to roost.
  10. If you scroll down after you vote, you can vote for best fans as well.
  11. I think this may be the case of spoiled fans instead of spoiled players. For two years we had a top five offensive line. Now we don't and somehow the players aren't working hard. They are just fat on NIL. Anyone with a chance to be first or second day will make tens if millions a year. Top NIL on the Ducks is 1.5. Who in their right mind is going to coast on that. Most are under 500k. Perhaps instead of buying the hype the line is actually figuring it out. It's very possible they are more frustrated than any of us.
  12. Great time to be a Duck. Been a fan since my sophomore year in 84' and we have sure come a long way.
  13. I really would like to say 12-0 regular season. But it seems a little too much. Instead I will go with 11-1. Loss at Michigan in horrific weather conditions. Get rematch inside Lucas Oil stadium and whoop their butts in Conference Championship game. Get first round bye in playoffs and make a run for the natty.
  14. I am not sure how you quit on the sidelines and then perform on the field. Nobody has a switch like that. Maybe what you saw as quit was a guy in his head figuring out what to do next. Frustration and quit are not the same thing. Guy is putting up 45 points and loosing. As was previously mentioned the guys he actually played with said he was a good teammate
  15. I find it interesting that in 2024 real men still don't cry. The guy won the Heisman. The next year his team sucked. Yet you saw zero quit. He played out the end of the season like they really had something to play for. Guys are painting their fingernails and wearing blue hair. Welcome to the new millnnium. You going to walk up to this dude and comment on his red fingernail polish. Doubt it.
  16. If you take away the two Washington games the average goes down to 13.42.
  17. Interesting take. I wonder if that rule should apply to coaches as well. So Johnathan Smith owes Oregon State for his salary for this year. As well as his assistants that left early. Any coach who leaves before the bowl game owes his school the entirety of his salary. This has been going on with coaches for years few complained to this level. No players opted out of playoff. And won't moving forward won't either. As we saw in the Washington game. They are one play away from not playing. Then the question just becomes for how long. Why risk injury for the ( fill in the blank with the nobody bowl here) bowl?
  18. Agreed. Was watching that game with my SEC loving family. Vernon went down and I left the room. Told my I uncle it was as over and we weren't going to win. He looked at me funny. Well...... Will always be too soon. Had erased the memory. And here you come bringing back the memory and all that goes with it.
  19. Been wondering about the possible flip from Georgia. Maybe it's heating up. And although Trey Benson has been good since he left. Trey or Buckie? I am taking Buckie every time.
  20. Colorado was the worst P5 team when Coach Sanders took over. This year most games were actually close and they only got blown out twice. As for the offensive line they were an fricken to start the year. They did get better and ended a D. But that still doesn't help your quarterback stay upright. Or make lanes for the running game. So any newcomer is almost guaranteed to start. Especially if you are a five star. We shall see in the next couple years how their development is.
  21. Agreed couldn't have picked a worse game from an optics point of view. However, now we get to see what our 2024 team will look like. And it's against Liberty. Not a much rougher opponent. . Good chance Bo, Troy and 'Co weren't going to play no matter who our opponent was.
