  1. As Dan Lanning said. Coaches will leave for the RIGHT opportunity. One where they can be successful. Clearly this opportunity was not considered a step up by Ra'Shaad.
  2. Can only read if you are a subscriber to the Washington Post. Nevermind. Thnks for the cut and paste
  3. Here's mine. And for those in the previous conversation. You can switch Boose St and Arizona St. And I wouldn't be mad. Just don't think the win today moves them from 16 ranking to 10. And Boise St was already at 10 in rankings. Not seeding due to automatic champion bids. A conversation for another thread. 1.Oregon 2. Georgia SEC champ and beat previous #2 for second time 3. Boise St 4. Arizona St 5. Notre Dame 6. Ohio St 7. Penn St 8. Texas 9. Tennessee 10. Indiana 11. Clemson 12. SMU This seeding has no teams playing a team they played during the season in the first round. How would you seed it different and why?
  4. The odds have nothing to do with how Vegas or the betting sites think will win. Or by how much The odds are set SOLEY to make sure money is evenly distributed between both sides.
  5. Miami was a home game. Georgia an away game. I know not far away. But still hostile environment. And GT dominated most of that game. Missed 25 yard field goal and late fumble away from securing that win.
  6. Oregon 42-14 2 TO 4 Sacks 280 passing yards
  7. The Heisman is given to the best football player in the country. Not the one who people feel is least arrogant. There is no denying Travis Hunter is the best player in college football. He is a finalsit for the the Biletnikoff, for the best wide receiver and the Bednarik Award, given to the best defensive player. Many of his posses are done with his teammates. So the I over team thing seems completely personal. Thankfully outside perception of a person carries little weight when it comes to awards and draft selection. Here is wishing Travis Hunter nothing but success in the next game and in his NFL career
  8. I consistently here about Deion Sanders ego. It feels like it comes from his playing years over three decades ago. And there is not enough space here to debate what that exactly was then. But now if anyone has taken the time to watch his entire press conference and not just the sound bites. Which I have many times. There is no ego. He calls all the reporters mam and sir even though he is decades older than them. He reads the scholastic achievementa of his players before getting into their on field success. I know many will point to his " I am bringing my Louis Vuitton luggage" or "We're keeping receipts" comments. But after Cignetti's "I win Google me" we hear nothing but praise. Not ONE person said OMG check out that mans ego. Find one comment Deion has said that is more egotistical.
  9. Guess Mr. Sanders is a better coach than people gave him credit for. O-line still has issues. But Shedeur is the best quarterback in college football. No slight to Dillon As for Utah they are literally playing their fourth string QB. Don't know how our season would be going doing the same. Yeah Dilly has definitely turned that program around. And The Big 12 will only get one team in. The question is will the Big 12 champ or Boise St get the first round bye.
  10. Sounds to me like Kirby was describing what can happen in any football game. The question is what are you going to do about it. And if you can't figure out how to come back and win. You are probably not good enough to win a national championship. It wasn't that they lost to Ole Miss. It's how bad they looked doing it. And no watching film doesn't give you a perfect idea of how teams look in person. But A. They watch a lot of games. And B they all have been around football for many years. And have been up close and personal with the teams. Stop whining Kirby and win. If Georgia lost yesterday they would be below .500 against top 25 teams. Not a recipe for winning champions.
  11. Oregon 38-10 2 turnovers 4 sacks 275 pass yards
  12. I am curious where you got your SOS. Because I would like to know their metrics. Yesterday I spent way too much time looking at various strength of schedule metrics. One major issue is if they update weekly or are from the beliefs at the beginning of the year. Most I looked at gave ni reasoning to how they got there. Georgia had a range of 1 to 23. Indiana 56 to 100. And from what I have read Georgia had a SOS of 100 when the first rankings came out last year. And nobody whined because it was Georgia. I have not been able to verify their SOS from last year though.
  13. Here's an article saying what we in the PAC-12 ( may it RIP) have been saying for years. Cannibalization is a real thing. SEC Bias: CFP rankings committee rewards SEC for things others are punished over FANSIDED.COM
  14. Interesting comment by Dan. I hears folks talking on a sports radio show about coaches that "help out their fans". They brought up Nick Saban as one. Maybe Dan has taken the same approach, when appropriate.
  15. Maybe they don't change. Arrogance like theirs doesn't dissipate after one loss. Especially one the other team didn't earn. 😁
  16. Don't know if anyone else saw this. But for Urban Meyer to make this statement says a lot about him.And of course our coaching staff. Great time to be a Duck Urban Meyer breaks down Dan Lanning’s 12-man penalty decision: ‘They are playing chess’ WWW.ON3.COM .
  17. The 4th and 2 play looks like a bad call because it failed. Tez was wide open so it was a good play, just bad execution. Had Ohio St. recovered the onside kick many would have called that a bad decision . We recovered, so it was a brilliant call. The challenge with an aggressive coach is just that he is aggressive. So we have live with the outcome positive or negative. The onside kick got us 3 points. The 4th and 2 lost them. But could have got us 7.
  18. Oregon 31-27 1 2 275 Go Ducks!!! Big day for the TEs
  19. Aainst tOSU MSU drove into the red zone on two of their first four possessions. Came away with zero points due to turnover on downs and fumble. Got to the 37 on another of the four and lost another fumble. Outside of the first drive and garbage time, mid fourth quarter, MSU didn't get past the 50 yardline against OBD. Well technically they got to our 48, but lost yards on the next play and were back on their side.
  20. Texas A&M University paid Jimbo Fisher a record $77.6 million to buy out his contract as football coach: Just sayin'
