Limar Hits the Portal
The "inconvenience and frustrations" are part of the point. NFL-Lite knows where it wants to go and having the "masses" scream and cry out for the very changes they want to make is preferable to having to "fight" what for what you want to get, but with significant obstacles standing in your way. Let the frustrations...simmer...to Piss off enough people, and they will give you what you want to alleviate whatever is piss'n em off. Standard human ploy been used since mankind first started cooperating together for common goals. We have been witnessing this in college athletics for most of this century. The rules, standards, and traditions, especially in the sports of football and basketball, are completely night and day from what athletes, coaches, and administrations built their programs and infrastructure around pre 2000's. Give it a few more years, but no later than mid 2030's (still have annoying pre NFL-lite TV contracts to burn through) and we will probably see a 16-24 team playoff, no conference title games (unless integrated into the playoffs in some way), maximum of 10 -12 days "off" for Any playoff teams, NCG being played NLT the second weekend on January, and the transfer portal aligned better to allow all teams, playoffs or not, be on equal footing with each other for the same portal window and coaching carousel. I for one am not crazy about it but also something I have no personal control over, so it will be whatever it will be. Just hope that OBD can remain the oddball program that somehow keeps its (duck)head and values about itself and continues to try to stay above the "fray" going on all around college athletics. GO DUCKS!

Is THIS Why Dante Moore Might be Returning to Oregon?
Ten years...heck even just five years ago moving on to the NFL-Heavy as soon as you could possibly get drafted, was the goal. Grab that "💰 bag" before...you couldn't, or had to "settle" for a smaller bag o 💰. NIL has significantly changed this mantra. Dante, his family, and even his agent have all spoke to the "positive" of Dante coming back for another year. So the advantage of returning is definitely part of the discussions regarding his future. I also believe this to be his best path for long-term football success. Apparently top QB's in NFL-LITE are now making money similar to rookie contract for similar positions in the NFL-HEAVY. (starting to step on some toes in the league?? Careful NFL-LITE!). If your being drafted by a cellar dweller in the NFL-HEAVY as the "franchise" QB, the GM's are Expecting that drafted. QB to become that exactly....right away! Dante definitely has that potential but absolutely will be closer to a franchise QB with one more year playing in the top competitive conference on the NFL-LITE, rather than being thrown to the (defensive) wolves on a crappy team in the NFL-HEAVY. Let us all hope that regardless of OBD winning its first Natty, Dante comes back for the "polish" he will need to be another Duck QB success story on the NFL-Heavy. GO DUCKS! GO DANTE, lead us to that promised (Natty) land.

Early Enrollees
If so: Next Man Up! Even with portal losses...this Oregon team is deep! With the exception of Dante going down I feel fairly confident, especially our RB room, that we can "cover" any playoff injuries, better than most. GO DUCKS!

Oregon Football: Peach Bowl Score Prediction vs Indiana
Indiana's.LEGIT! Senior laden class (many who followed Cignetti to Indiana a couple years ago) vs. a freshman laden group anchored by senior "trench monsters" for Oregon. I think this will play out similar to the game at Autzen where defensive/ball control offenses move the ball but struggle to get points on each drive...until the fourth quarter where all bets will be off and DL and the CIG pull out all the stops to get the victory. The team who's players execute those "stops" will move on to Miami. That being said. OREGON WINS! 24-23 (Sappington hits the "game winner" on Ducks last possession) 2 T.O. 2 SKS. 234 Pass Yds Now let's go get that NATTY!

Oregon-Texas Tech Post Game Thread
Pretty much the game most saw it as being. Two defenses..going at it. Obvious TT primary defensive priority was shutting down our run game, especially between the tackles, and for the most of the first half they were behind our blockers and two yards behind the line of scrimmage before our RBs even received the handoff. But hey. Our defense shutdown their offensive strength in the run, and with the exception of one 50 yrd run (from a missed tackle behind the line of scrimmage) did similar especially in the second half. As 'old school' I am always one for 'taking the points.'. But can't really argue with an overall 64% success rate on going for it and the confidence it builds in the players in executing on it so I am trying to get used to DL's tendencies, but lordy my blood pressure takes a rise Everytime he does it. Offensively they consistently "broke the flow" of several drives with self inflicted wounds and left many points on the field because of these or non-execution of 4th down plays. Dante is a good, becoming great, quarterback. But honestly from some of the forced throws he attempts and some of the down field (open) receivers he does not see while out of the pocket under diress and on the run, seems solid reasons for him to get another 15-20 games in the NFL-lite before heading to NFL-Heavy. All this being said. OBD dominated a high scoring team. Broke the QBs confidence, especially after the third turnover. Had like 6 or 7 three and outs. If our offense has been "clicking" this could have easily been a 30-40 point shutout. At no point did this game ever feel out of Oregon control. Any concerns about lack of focus after the JMU game were answered with a sonic BOOM! I had believed this game to have been the most challenging for the Ducks until meeting Ohio St. in the championship game. Well Mario and Co took care of that and now we get to wreck havoc on either Alabama or Indiana (personally I Want Indiana...for obvious reasons) and whomever they meet from the other side of the bracket OBD should be able to match up better with, than with Ohio St. Not saying we are a lock for...anything other than the Peach Bowl appearance. But, the odds have shifted nicely in favor of OBD and knocking the Ducks out in the next two rounds has become more challenging for the rest of the field. Oh and one more bit of confidence from today's game. Defense Wins CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🦆🏈🪨's

Prediction Contest of Oregon vs. Texas Tech: Join Us!
Late touchdown to either: TT scores late to seem closer than it really was or; Oregon scores to WIN by another defensive TO and score (ie: two years ago) or Dante heroics to save the season. DUCKS Move On to Semi's 31-25. WIN 2 T.O. 3 SKS (and pressure all day long) Dante Heroics = 325 Yds Pass. Lanning goes "apeshitze" with team and fans after the Win! (Friday, sports pundits and talking heads swear that this Oregon team be a Juggernaut! but of course). And as Always! 🦆🏈🪨's

Great PFF Analysis of Oregon vs. Texas Tech...
Great points all around. My thoughts. Our run game will be key in establishing and maintaining long, sustained Scoring drives. I believe the ability to grind out 3-4 yards per carry between the tackles and 5-6 yards around the edge wewould be more than enough to wear down this stout TT Defense. Problem is TT doesn't give up nearly that many yards per carry albeit against slightly inferior and undersized opponents. Quarterback pressure, on both sides, will be another key to how the game flows. Our D has done a good job of QB containment but not as many sacks as you'd like to see after 13 games. As pointed out TT QB doesn't deal well with pressure. Making him "uncomfortable' and speed the game up for him will be important in forcing mistakes. Protecting Dante and giving him 3-4 seconds in the pocket and he will pick apart the TT secondary. TT don't blitz a lot but I fully expect several blitz packages to keep our O-line...on their toes...and give their free rusher several real shots at Dante. Not a whole lot of film on TT blitzing. Lastly, Play Clean, Green and Yellow Ducks from Eugene, Play Clean. Turnovers, Missed assignments and missed tackles, PENALTIES (especially those PI ones, late in games, that extend opponents drives by our Freshmen DB's), will be enough to sink OBD's run at a Natty for 2025. This TT team is full of NFL caliber players, as is OBD. Play to the best of your abilities and Play Clean and it will be difficult for TT to find ways around our coaching and talent to beat our Ducks and move on in the Playoffs (Playoffs???) in 2025. Dante Moore MVP of this game will be all you need to know that the Ducks won and move on. Win, or please No...Lose, this game should be one of, if not, the best game in the 2025 playoffs. And to be part of it is why I Love Me Some Ducks! 🦆🏈🪨's

Stranger Things About Texas Tech…
The Red Raiders...National Champions 2025? "Stranger Things" have happened and this may actually be the most challenging game but personally, I like OBD's chances in hoisting that trophy in the end. But I'm major "homer" soooo....🙄 GO DUCKS! 👍

Uniform Reveal for the Orange Bowl
Silver Wings Ducks vs Them? Callback to the game two years ago, on the road, at Texas Tech? Probably will be another defensive play to seal the victory on this one also. Remember how much the talking heads compared TT rise in college football had mirrored in many ways the rise of the Ducks. Sharp Uni's for the quarterfinals. 🦆🏈🪨's
