Thanks for the post. I believe most of us kinda agree with you but the genie is out of the bottle and there is little the NCAA can do. The Supreme Court has ruled and the NIL stands like it or not. As far as the players being paid I believe they do deserve some kind of compensation more than just a scholarship and this is why. Any other student who doesn't have enough money for even spending cash to do things others can, have the opportunity to get a side job. Student athletes do not, their job is their sport and most of them, if not all, don't have any extra time because of their studies. As far as NIL and the Ducks I believe there is a program where money goes into a pool and then a equal stipend will be distributed to all athletes. Each individual can also sign their own with help from an advisor or their own agent. I don't have a problem with this setup, as I understand it. I like how it won't just be the few stars getting paid which I believe could have a derisive effect on the team. Yes their will be schools that have an advantage but it's been that way for a long time, just under the table. Some got caught and paid a terrible price, at least now that shouldn't happen again. However it proceeds it's going to be interesting. I just know I can't wait to see OBD in the spring and the 22 season. I believe we are going to have a great team.

Media Rights Question Posed To Wilner By Joseph
Duck 1972 replied to Notalot's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't know much when it comes to this but I know I don't want our games being played at 9 a.m.. Just for more eyes from the East Coast, South and Mid West. We didn't need them in the 2010's when we played for 2 nattys and I don't believe we need them now. I also don't want to play anyone who won't play us H/H games. I don't see any advantage for us to do that. Let's get more of those teams coming out here and see how they do away from their fans and time zone. I believe if that would happen with our best against their best it would level out about which conferences are better. I know the last 8 yrs haven't been good for the PAC but now with us, USC and Utah we just need a couple more teams to step up with resources, administration and finally product on the field. As I have posited before the advantages the rest of the country has over us are many and maybe to much to overcome. If so, so be it but let's not go down without a fight. Go Ducks Fly High Go PAC Play Well- 12 replies

Jimbo Fisher: "This $30 Million Thing is a Joke"
Duck 1972 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Malchow was the director of recruiting. He also helped produce top classes at UGA for 5 years. Also at Bama before that. Think he helped us get a respectable class to close out this year. Guess we'll see come 23 -
My mistake. Oh well welcome to the forum with decorum.

THE Most Important Two Hours as a Duck Fan...a MUST!
Duck 1972 replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I just watched it. Excelente, especially coach Locklyn. Also loved how they wouldn't name the team up north. Seemed like good strong men and teachers. -
Good luck on your pro career. You're one hell of a player and one of the greatest at Oregon. Thanks for everything you gave to us fans.

Yeah they're nothing more than a 7 on 7 team right now. Just keep talking. We'll see you on the field of play, then we'll see who walking the walk and not just talking the talk. Go Ducks Fly High -
Haven't heard anything. Probably doesn't bode well for him finishing as a Duck. I believe he'd help us and it would only cost us 1 year of a scholarship.

I believe they wanted him to lose weight and be faster. He was supposed to have a monster season but it didn't happen. -

It will happen. Just like at Bama UGA and Clemson. Just have to keep recruiting coaches also. -
Oregon Looks Better Considering "Player-Average" Ranking
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I believe it's hard to rank transfers. Do you use their HS * or ??? And how would that work? -

Thanks for the update. Legacy player who's brother was a really good player for us. He was a LB while Emerrion is considered an edge.
