Thanks, Darren, 14 divided by 7 is as deep into math as I want to get into either. At first, I couldn't understand what was happening either. The Ducks playing in the 3rd quarter were the same that were playing in the 1st and 2md. Why the drop off in production?
The answer came through discussion, here in the "forum with decorum". It was a plan. It is "prevent offense" with a purpose. The Ducks were never in danger of losing to Maryland, or the others, when the scoring went into hibernation. This is going to be a season longer than any other.
There is no reason to keep the assault going, show more of the playbook, add carries to the running backs in games that are already in the win column and the playoff is coming.
