  1. Yeah, the Purple Puppies up Nortth are still dog paddling in Duh Nile.
  2. Exactly what I saw. The Lady Ducks got off to a great start. had a good lead, but it got thisclose at the end. But Oregon never gave up the lead, kept their composure. played the D. One basket all night for Mevius, and it sealed the game. The drama continued when Oregon kept possession at the end, 7 seconds on the clock, up by 2. Baylor fouls, hit the free throws. But for the last 7 seconds, Baylor never fouled?
  3. Sure, put a team in with 3 losses. What? Fans are going to go crazy if a strong SEC team is left behind. The CFB world might witness significant backlash from fans and supporters of the conference. Why are we discussing a team with three losses getting to the playoffs? Well, because it is highly likely that a team with two losses will play the SEC championship game. Naturally, if the one with two losses faces defeat in that game, their record will show three losses. One of those teams can be Bama, despite their uptick in form in the last few weeks. They are already at two losses, and while they are still a little behind from imagining playing in the SEC championship game, why stop from hoping for it?
  4. That was the chatter we'd see at every fan base who's team is about to take on OBD. A mix of what if's, aspirations and doses of reality.
  5. Alex, I think you summed it perfectly. OBD had an off game, but never once was the game in jeopardy. On a day when Miami and Georgia stumbled and fell, Indiana sneaked past offensively challenged Michigan, Oregon Maryland by 21. Should Oregon switch Gernorris Wilson to receiver? The fake punt wasn't up there with the 12;th man, but it showed again what an advantage Oregon has with Lanning as its coach. The penalties and drops were mistakes, no doubt, but in a marathon of 7 games straight mistakes are bound to happen, best to get them out of the way in a 3 touchdown win.
  6. I haven't been as nervous, excited, thrilled, watching a Ducks game in years! Sabrina Ionescu fired up as Oregon hangs on to upset No. 12 Baylor - ESPN Video WWW.ESPN.COM Elisa Mevius scores the go-ahead bucket and the Ducks come up big on defense to seal an upset victory over No. 12 Baylor.
  7. Guess who he thinks "the most dangerous team in the country" is? Paul Finebaum sounds off on Georgia, LSU embarrassments CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Paul Finebaum did not hold back on Georgia and LSU after their brutal losses to Ole Miss and Alabama on Saturday.
  8. What if the Beavs had won? Oregon State announcer's wild antics in booth go viral AWFULANNOUNCING.COM Oregon State radio announcer Mike Parker got very animated after a big play Saturday, shaking his fists and banging on the press...
  9. All of this is just too good. Recruiting Roundup: A New Commitment Coming & Other Notes WWW.UWDAWGPOUND.COM Recruiting Roundup: A New Commitment Coming & Other Notes
  10. Yes, reminds me of analyzing 15th century English Lit.
  11. Excellent. A commitment to Washington should always be corrected.
  12. Meanwhile, Beaver Nation is getting a chain letter.
  13. Agree overall, though I don't think luck played any part in Oregon's win or Georgia & Miami's losses. They were both outplayed. Oregon took care of business and remined the unanimous No.1. Indiana withstood Michigan's offense, scored less than Oregon won by, and moves up 3 spaces in the AP & 4 in the Coaches poll?
  14. That's all true, last night against Maryland, 40 probably wasn't going to happen, a few things go differently against tOSU, maybe 40 happens. In the others, playing the big picture game, longer season, scoring 40 wasn't a priority.
  15. No game this season has OBD reminded me of Saban's Alabama more than this one. Every once in a while, they'd play a game and it just wasn't working. but in the end 'Bama won and often by less than 21, and without missing their prime playmaker & and integral member of the OL. Had to point out how much I agree with this.
  16. Oregon had an off game, offense was clunking, not clicking, penalties, on offense and defense, coping with out their main pass receiver and a leader on the OL and beat a team, coming off a Bye, with a future NFL receiver and others that have Maryland at No.34 in total offense and No.9 in passing offense, by 21. Meanwhile, Indiana, the 1st place team, alphabetically in the B1G, held on and got past Michigan and its "No Offense intended", 20-15, and they and the fans are dancing like the kids in "Footloose". These games happen, and when you're No.1, with the target on your back, you get the win and move on.
  17. Agree with you here. Michigan, with no semblance of offense, lost by 5 at Indy. tOSU has an offense, and is bigger, faster and will control the trenches against Indiana.
  18. Definitely a good day. If Michigan had anything close to an offense, they beat Indiana. But the Hoosiers found a way to win and are 10-0.
  19. It wasn't that he played down to the opponents, he never played Up. Every game was the same, Chip's "Faceless opponent" to the extreme. It's hard to believe the offense is scoring like it is, but there's only so much Mario can do.
  20. Alabama really likes it, Vanderbilt doesn't.
  21. "Defense, awesome job bending and not breaking. The special teams play again, huge in that game, and found a way. ...What are we, 10-0? Not bad!" That was Cignetti, post game & of course the offense that Indiana's D bent, but didn't break against was Michigan's.
  22. Next for Miami is BYE, so time for Mario to do some more coaching, which might be good? then it's Wake Forest at home and end the season @ Syracuse.
  23. When Alabama was No.1 and they had a game like that, you just said, "well, that's Alabama" Oregon's offense wasn't working tonight, but the team still put up 39. Fake punts, TD's to OL. There were some unfortunate penalties. A lot for Lanning and the coaches to point out on film. Glass half full observation, that was bad Oregon football and they still won by 3 touchdowns.
  24. FG for Indy makes it 20-15, Michigan has 2:34 to go 80 yards for a touchdown.
