  1. Great article, D Perk! D Perk, that's the very clever way that the media is coming up with nicknames now. No "dominant team"? Except maybe the one team that didn't lose a game? But that doesn't mean that I don't agree with this being the time for Oregon to win that oh so elusive Natty! It would be so satisfying to put the trophy up and tell the Huskies they're half a championship from 33 years ago is "nice". About those trophies? It's ridiculous to me that Alabama & Michigan are even playing in the ReliaQuest Bowl. Seriously? You're the winningest team ever, Michigan. You won the Natty last year. If Saban had any thoughts of regretting his decision to retire, he just has to watch that. Can you imagine the type of sick he'd feel watching Roll Tide jumping around and celebrating that win? Would hoisting the ReliaQuest Trophy convince DeBoer it was all worth it? So, OBD, Just Win it now!
  2. The B1G against the SEC with bragging rights for the coveted ReliaQuest Trophy and look at the uniforms!
  3. Excellent? That doesn't leave much room for what he'd be if he won the games besides those when Ohio State simply has much better players. In all the categories of coaching is Day really A+? The game plan against Michigan sure didn't work. Lanning has made coaching moves, decisions in every game this season. How much did Day have to do with the beatdown of Tennessee?
  4. Oregon will enter this game ranked 110th nationally in EPA-per-rush allowed, according to Game on Paper. That’s really bad! Oregon has allowed 6 different running backs to rush for more than 85 yards this season, and 5 of those managed more than 7.5 yards a clip — including Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson. Oregon won those games, along with all the others. I'm sure that Lanning and Lupoi aren't happy about being 110th. But all season long the Ducks have won, and having Burch in the Rose Bowl will definitely help against osu2.
  5. I'm definitely not saying this out of preference. If Beck was still at QB, no doubts. But losing the starting QB has to account for something, and maybe it is recency bias, but Penn State just scares me now.
  6. Wow!!!! Great news, two guys who might want to be "Once a Duck, always a Duck" for even longer!
  7. Finishing third in Heisman Trophy voting behind Colorado's Travis Hunter and Boise State's Ashton Jeanty was an honor but one he was never chasing. The mission was championships. Which is exactly why he should have been chosen over the 'Hey, look at my stats' guys.
  8. Not the same as Ward, but one of the reason's that Royce Freeman never comes to my mind when I think of the greatest Oregon RB's is because my lasting impression of him is, after opting out. walking around in his street clothes as the Ducks lost the Las Vegas Bowl to Boise State, Mario was the interim coach at the time.
  9. “These Ohio State fans, they’ve got a psychotic obsession with Michigan and they need to go get therapy or something to try to get it fixed,” Saban said.
  10. I believe Penn State is better than Georgia and Notre Dame.
  11. Not only stickers, a red stripe too!
  12. Who'd have thought. Booger McFarland, Finebaum's ESPN colleague had some good things to say about Oregon, how they had really not gotten the respect usually given to a unanimous No.1, then proceeded to pick osu2. But not Paul. F Go, Ducks!
  13. Turns out Ferg did play in that game, 4 catches, 62 yards. But Sadiq didn't get in the game at all, I expect him, and Holden, one catch for 32 yards, to both just add to the Air Raid OBD lets loose on osu2.
  14. Just keeps getting better and better!
  15. Heisman winner RGlll has an opinion, “Same people criticizing Cam Ward for sitting out the 2nd half of the Pop Tarts Bowl, would be saying how dumb it was for him to play if he got hurt,” Griffin wrote in a post to X. “He didn’t have to play AT ALL. Instead he gave us a half of jaw dropping plays. Stop villainizing these student athletes.” If Ward had been worried about getting injured, he wouldn't have played at all. He wanted the record and would have played as long as needed to get it, and please, "victimizing student athletes"?
  16. Absolutely, in 2019, everybody was calling LSU a great team, same for Georgia in 2022, long before they won the Championship. Osu2 is thought of as a great team, after losing to Michigan & blasting Tennessee.
  17. 89-49, just what they wanted to do. Shelstad finished as the leading scorer with 16. Tracey & Angel had 14, Angel was 5-5 from the field, 1-1 on 3's & 3-3 from the FT line. The Ducks finished at 55% shooting, Weber State, 33%.
  18. 9-0 run for Weber State, Oregon has missed its last 5 shots.
  19. Ducks start the 2nd half on a 10-0 run, first timeout, 53-27. Shelstad, Angel, Tracey with 11.
  20. Ducks handling this game just right, up 40-23 at the break. 53% from the field, Weber State at 36%. Supreme Cook gets up for the beautiful flush - ESPN Video WWW.ESPN.COM Supreme Cook gets up for the beautiful flush
  21. Ducks shooting 46%, Weber State, 31%, 1-9 on 3's for the Wildcats, 26-13, Ducks.
  22. Every starter has scored for the Ducks as they lead 14-9 at the first timeout.
  23. Could be that UCLA is pretty good, they're 2-0 in conference play, and beat the Zags yesterday. Their next conference games are @ Nebraska, & Michigan. Ducks at 1-1 in conference are at home against Illinois and Maryland.
  24. Smith: “I think about that call probably every day,” Smith said to media ahead of the Rose Bowl. “It was a crazy call. The DB was holding me; I just cleared his hands. I guess receivers can’t be physical in football anymore, but DBs could hold 10 yards, 15 yards down the field. It’s behind me. Yeah, okay.
