  1. The biggest SB blowout is 49ers 55 Bill 10, No.2 is Bears 46 Patriots 10.
  2. The Chiefs were going for the first ever 3-peat, maybe they'll end up being the first team to be shut out.
  3. Oregon is 16-7, Kansas is 16-7, Oregon is 16-7. Looks like a Q1 win has been taken away from Oregon, so now 7-5, Kansas is 5-8. The big difference is Oregon is 9-2 in 2,3,4 while Kansas is 11-1. The losses to Minnesota and Nebraska definitely hurt more than the wins over Alabama and A & M helped. No.1 Auburn lost yesterday, so did No.2 Duke, which will probably have Alabama be No.1 in the next poll.
  4. 4-4-2-2-1-1 seems appropriate, the Notre Dame slot is tiresome but appears to be obligatory. Beat Georgia in Athens? Why not, but remember that article that said, "Oregon Can Repeat as B1G Champ" just do that, let osu2 take the "Midnight Train to Georgia"
  5. Looks like you have it down. The transformation from the 1st half to the 2nd half that you noted was exactly what we all feared, expected, would happen. Scared, soft, either works.
  6. Little to argue with. It shouldn't be as simple to say that when the shots go in, the Ducks win. But with this team in particular, it's true, and that's why "Soft" fits. The shots were going in in the 1st half, and they were more physical, the defense was active, the ball was moving. they were causing turnovers and converting them into points. But the first shots in the 2nd half didn't drop and everything fell apart. The shots weren't working for State in the 1st half, but they got it going in the 2nd and everything else got better. Shelstad is lost as a point guard, when he steps back, tries to get other players involved, they miss, so that doesn't work. Key hit the big shot at the buzzer but previously missed 3 open shots.
  7. Can't find the answer to that; last season 9 teams made the tournament with 8 Q1 wins, Kansas had the most, with 17. OBD have been stuck on 8 while Alabama now has 12. Oregon has 7 games left, and currently 2, @ Iowa and Wisconsin, are Q1.
  8. According to the guys on TV this is the first 5 L's in a row for a Ducks team in 11 years, historically that means the Ducks win the last 7 conference games, at least get to conference championship game and a Sweet 16. This year? Probably not. Honestly, sadly, I don't think Izzo or the team were that concerned about being down at halftime. There were some adjustments, but Michigan State really just showed up and Oregon, choked, caved, wilted. Shelstad is mastering David Copperfield in the way he can disappear. Evans had the best 40 minutes; Key made a shot that should have filled the Ducks with momentum going into the 2nd half. State had just lost 2 straight, Illinois is around .500 after blowing the Ducks out. Right now, No.16 Kansas is going to lose to unranked Kansas St. Auburn and Duke are on top, but this is going to be a crazy "March Madness."
  9. Captain Obvious here! "The first 4 minutes of the 2nd half are very important!"
  10. Okay, Key was O-Fer from 3 until he hits a buzzer beater to give the Ducks a 50-37 lead at halftime. State got their first 2 on a put back, but their haven't been many of those. Ducks are playing this one better than they were at the start of the season.
  11. 3-peat! I want it. If KC can keep SB under control, they'll win SB LIX.
  12. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The game will broadcast on FOX at 9 a.m. PT.
  13. I have the same feeling. Altman doesn't fit anymore, the team isn't responding. He absolutely shouldn't be fired, but next season would be better for him, and the team moving forward with a new coach. I agree that Altman would have more fun coaching a team with players who just wanted to play basketball. Power 4 basketball isn't that place anymore.
  14. As Lanning and the player's put it, "time to go to school". of course, as Just Ducky points out, there is going to be so many new players that going over the Rose Bowl won't be relevant. It was a perfect storm for osu2, everything worked for them, nothing worked for the Ducks. Losses do stay with us deeper than wins, and the Rose Bowl was a LOSS. But fortunately, it's done.
  15. I don't know a better description. The lack of cohesion, communication, bad shooting aren't soft, but lack of rebounds, giving up offensive rebounds, shooting 3's early in the shot clock. They thought it was impressive that they came from behind for wins. But then they didn't against UCLA. The slow starts continued, Illinois blew them out. The next games weren't as bad as Illinois, but Oregon consistently was out of games before halftime; and the B1G teams are good, but not great, Michigan won because they hit shots, rebounded, moved the ball. Whether offense ignites defense, or the other way around doesn't matter, the Ducks aren't playing either well enough to compete. If you're going to snag Quad1 wins, it's going to be early in a season when teams are working things out.
  16. I'll be okay with a B for Mario, though I saw a team get as far or short as Cam Ward, and "Under review" took it, we'll see what happens with a completely different QB in Beck next season. Freeman did get past the loss to N. I and gave osu2 more of a game than most thought they would. I don't know where the + for Kelly at LSU came from.
  17. I was just over at a Husky site reading their latest scribblings, and of course it was all about how Oregon is the poster child of what's wrong with college football...$$$. "If you just buy a championship, is it worth anything?" No commentary on osu2, of course. What got me though was how it was characterized over there that Oregon "cried" about how the CFP format damaged their chances at the Natty. We know that Oregon's response was "It's an opportunity." It was EVERYBODY ELSE who pointed out that No.1 Oregon was being treated worse than any other No.1 seed anywhere. You can't teach an old dog, not dawg, new tricks.
  18. Let's count the ways. What's wrong with Oregon men's basketball? Ducks on a four-game losing streak AUTZENZOO.COM The Oregon Ducks lost their fourth consecutive game when the No. 24 Michigan Wolverines stalled their comeback attempt. So...
  19. It is ridiculous, it's the can instead of will. Oregon will repeat as B1G champion would be a headline.
  20. It's really sad, the Rose Bowl for the Ducks meant more to UW fans than anything the Huskies did, granted there wasn't that much...
  21. When it comes down to it, I'll always want OBD to win every game, and back to back B1G crowns would be sweet. But, with this format, I don't think a home game to start it off, while the Champs are sitting and waiting, is all bad.
  22. Thanks, but no thanks. ESPN College Football Writer Says One Team Can Repeat as Big Ten Champs in 2025 - Athlon Sports
  23. A minor point, TP had a start that no freshman at Oregon, probably anywhere, has matched, again Oregon was knocked out before getting a Natty. Porter was the quintessential 6th man, into the starting line-up, he and the teams couldn't match '06-7.
