Canzano: Huge New Impact on NIL...or Not? A Very BIG DEAL for College Athletics
On3’s Chad Simmons predicts QB Jaden Rashada is headed to (surprise) the SEC and Ole Miss. I’d hate to lose out on him as he looks to me to be the 2nd coming of Dennis Dixon. No question the SEC will have the upper hand when it boils down to NIL$.

Verbal: Men's Hoops Adds JC Guard
Rigsby… who said white men can’t jump? Given Oklahoma along with Georgia we’re in the mix I’m guessing coach Crutchfield played a key role.

Recruits AGAIN Say the No. 1 in Facilities...is OREGON
Imagine what could’ve been had we put a dome on Autzen. Rich Brooks, bless him, was in favor at the time.

While we’re at it can we toss the celebration penalty onto the trash heap as well?

Another Big Recruiting Weekend for Oregon
Boardingham’s highlights are sick. 6-4 220lb kick/punt returner? Kid could be slotted at a half dozen different positions. Should be on our A-list.

BREAKING: Travis Dye Enters Transfer Portal
Per Oregonlive Dye is leaving the door open for returning to the UO. Quite likely just testing the waters...

Will Coach Locklyn Restore Oregon’s Running Back Legacy?
One of the things I like to see in highlight films is whether or not a running back prospect gets caught from behind (same for WR’s). I can think of at least three RB’s from the past who pass that test. Droughns, Stewart and LaMike. One could argue the same for Mo Morris, Barner and Jeremiah Johnson. Top end speed is not the end-all but it can be a difference maker.

Really Happening: Tosh Lupoi Coming to Oregon
I’ve followed Lupoi through all of the aforementioned drama. If I remember correctly he also was the point man for UW in the recruitment of Eric Armstead, a close battle won by Chip after having an in home with the Armsteads. I will chalk up early miscues to youth and inexperience on his part. His tenure with Bama, though brief, has been clean. Given he passed the smell test with coach Saban, I’d chalk this up as a smart hire and another win for Lanning.

No Guarantee that Chip Kelly Returns to UCLA for 2022
I’m not sure what it is about 8-4 that the Bruins admin doesn’t get. Sans a miracle finish by Fresno the record would be 9-3 with two of the losses from the top two teams in the league. The Bruins have momentum going into the offseason evidenced by a recruiting class currently ranked fourth in the league. Chip is a year away from a roster built with his players. My bet is at minimum he’s granted a 2 year extension at some point this month. Apart from such his hands would be tied and don’t be surprised if he decides to make the exit.

Now...Do you think that Cincinnati Belonged?
One could ask the same regarding Michigan. At this point doesn’t matter who else you could’ve thrown into the mix. Georgia and Bama are in a league of their own.

My Favorite Plays of the Bowl Game...
I would nominate Troy Franklin for the best and worst plays of the game involving two long passes from AB. First was lack of effort to reach out and snag a sure touchdown pass to the end zone. Counter that with an excellent (acrobatic) reception barely in bounds for the TD.

Ducks Fly over the Waves 68-59
It’s called limited minutes at the center position. Doubtful there is any other college team that has four seven footers. With another on the way next year (who could we’ll be best of the bunch) I expect one or two of our current centers to opt for the portal or pros next year.

Oregon Men's Basketball: Pepperdine at Oregon, 6:00 PT on the Pac-12 Network
Nice game by Bittle this evening. Played best of the bigs and is sure to see more playing time going forward.

Final Version: Pertinent Quotes from the Dan Lanning Press Conference
It’s been so long I’ve forgotten what an explosion play is. Glad he squelched the William Jewel College rumor… puts me at rest. Folks, it’s pointless to ask in effect would he ever leave for another job. I hope Lanning’s phone is ringing off the hook this time next year and every year he’s at the UO. What does that tell you? Guarantee you he will leave at some point. If not for another school, could well be the pros. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy a coach who I consider to be a rising star and one who will bring an excitement to UO football we haven’t seen since the Chip Kelly era.

Georgia's Success: "Lanning's Scheme is Built Around an Innovative Blitz Package"
As for the LB blitz packages, Lanning’s eyes will pop when he sees a close-up of Justin Flowe. Throw in Noah, Bassa, recruits Devon Jackson, Harrison Taggart (10.7 100m each), coach has to be delighted with our young LB’s.

Great Article! Coach Dan Lanning Arrives in Eugene: "I Feel Like the Luckiest Man on Earth"
One cannot discount the recruiting advantage of Lanning’s geographic familiarity with the southeast. That’s one important factor that set him apart from the other runner-ups. Can’t wait for an SEC style defensive line that will wreak havoc in the PAC 12..

Lanning targeting Florida State's Kenny Dillingham for OC
Overachiever I’m sure, definitely a motivator. Based on the clips I’ve seen of Lanning’s sideline demeanor, we’ll see a 180 from Cristobal who to me at times looked insecure. Lanning will be fired up, passionate, getting face to face with players in a good way. I recall from a radio interview with a Georgia media source, kids love playing for him and assistants will enjoy working with him.

Great Article! Coach Dan Lanning Arrives in Eugene: "I Feel Like the Luckiest Man on Earth"
Looking forward to today’s intro with the team. Got a feeling there will be a ton of energy and enthusiasm in the room. How cool would it be to have Rich Brooks on hand who in 1977 mirrored the experience of Lanning when he took over the program also at age 35. And who was his first opponent? Georgia at Athens. A stellar showing for the Ducks who lost by a score of 27-16 when many were expecting an epic blowout.

Another trivia gem for you Charles, or anyone else. Who was Brooks first game against and where was it played?

The Big Question: Who's Going to Make the Offense go at Oregon?
This isn’t the first time the UO went with the youth movement. Did so back ‘77 with another 35 yr old. Last name was Brooks.

The Big Question: Who's Going to Make the Offense go at Oregon?
Dillingham’s FSU QB talent this past season was pedestrian at best. Their commit list shows an elite 11 finalist incoming for 2022.
