It would be Shakespearean if the Trail Blazers replaced the Super Sonics in Seattle.
Could we get the Kraken in a trade? Watching Stanley Cup playoffs is always illustrious of how much better of a product the NHL is compared to the NBA where only Game 7's merit my attention.

UO Athletics Building "The Jake" To Benefit Golf Programs - University of Oregon Athletics
GODUCKS.COMThe latest state-of-the-art UO athletics facility will be built on the grounds of Emerald Valley Golf Club, and is named for Peter and Jan Jacobsen.Hadn't seen this before.....very cool building dedicated to one of the best Ducks ever. I was ambling through Atlanta airport sporting colors one day and I hear a booming "Go Ducks" across the terminal...sure enough, Peter Jacobsen. Chatted me up for few minutes then we fist-bumped and went our separate ways. Very chill dude.

I wonder if NIL is available to walk-ons? Now that we have 4 specialists on the roster, presumably 5 with the long snapper, it would make sense to use NIL funds to pay them enough to remain walk-ons, freeing up those 5 schollies for other players. If allowed....presuming someone is actually enforcing any kind of rules at all.

In every era there are teams that are disciplined, and teams that are less so. I don't deny that today's world is self-obsessed (excuse me, brand-focused) and that makes the challenge harder, but some teams and coaches manage this aspect of culture better than others over the course of a season. Mario's teams weren't the most undisciplined I have seen at Oregon, but they were far from the least.
As Bellotti often said, better errors of commission than errors of omission

Funny.....Cristobal's reaction to Hutson is identical to my man cave armchair rant to CRISTOBAL about not coaching THE TEAM to avoid those types of infractions.

I think the recorded chainsaw is slightly better because at least it is original. It is kinda adorable in it's own way... A sort of "look at me! I'm different" sort of thing...
Both are bad though.
At least the Timbers have a live one and actually slice a slab when they score....faux chainsaw is weak sauce.

The foghorn is great ... It.has an ominous feel to it... Like impending doom for the other team.
Bettet than a siren which is just loud and obnoxious.
Is it better than a recorded chainsaw?

Yes, please continue to post baseball, track, etc. I might not make a comment, but do read. I agree, Hayward Field is world class facilities.
Me, too.....I'm a lurker on these threads since I struggle to comment knowledgeably. Unlike my football comments which routinely display maximum allowable academic prowess

A Ducks Wire story on one of the new punters indicated that Snee announced he is entering the portal.
Apparently ST Coach Joe Lorig didn't see what he needed to see outta Snee?

I'd like to see the Ducks wear dark green (almost black) unis with last names and numbers only for every game.....only rotating helmets between white, yellow and green.
Kinda old school Penn St but updated.

In the name of fairness the snake ends up eating its own tail.
It takes real talent to verbalize a noble intent while your actions accomplished the opposite. I would be put in OBD time out forever if I shared my thoughts any further.
The old circular firing squad routine.....a classic!

RichardDuck perfectly summed up my thoughts on the article....this is a de rigeur Canzano fluff piece, but there are some interesting thoughts it sparks. Naturally, he pursues none of them.
It seems the mood/culture has changed under George. That's good. If Ted Kaczynski had shown up, he may well have done that much. The key as Steven A mentioned is the media rights deal. And here is where I am glad we have someone like George K. with a media background.
Right, so he may not have collegiate administration experience. In my humble opinion, leadership in today's NCAA requires expertise like navigating the world of broadcast media, evaluating streaming modalities, and strategic sports marketing (including NIL) to make the best deals for the PAC12 in the next half decade.

I see coach D just offered another qb, one that was liking the beavs. The kid got offered by UW also...
I'm wondering if that means they think JR is going elsewhere?
I guess we gotta cover all bases.
Have heard on a podcast that the new offer is a longer term prospect due to playing behind a 5-star, COVID season, and an injury in HS. Apparently has all the tools, but needs reps due to HS circumstances. Speculation is that the Ducks take 2 QB's in 23 and this guy won't scare off a more polished classmate, like a Rashada.

Coach Klemm Going After Some Big Men
in Our Beloved Ducks

Shaking Proctor from Iowa will be tough....if Klemm pulls that off it will be astounding.
