  1. Straight on, that is correct. But the key word in the Tweet was across the field, which adds distance and difficulty. No need to disagree when we have the Pythagorean formula gentlemen! Distance is square root of total of width of throw squared plus length of throw squared. About 60 yards assuming 25 yard horizontal travel (about half width of field)
  2. H2H only goes so far. A 1-10 team who beats Georgia ain’t goin over 12-1 Georgia. If tOSU runs it with wins over MSU and MI then a Big10 champ they leapfrog UO. So does OK if they win out IMO. Wake not so much with the weak ACC. But we don’t control our destiny. My two cents at least.
  3. Also safe to say tOSU controls its destiny and would get past Oregon with season ending wins against mich state, Michigan and a Big10 championship win. So we need both OK and tOSU to lose a game.
  4. I would say past Oregon and into top 4. What about an undefeated P5 team in Wake with games v UNC and Clemson and a pretty crappy acc? I say probly not.
  5. Cardwell looked really good taking advantage of some huge holes. I was equally impressed by 7M. His blitz pickup allowed AB to find Franklin for the TD, he ran tough, caught the ball, and forced a fumble on kickoff coverage.
  6. Maybe…but a lotta work to do before the rivalry game FKA The Civil War
  7. Tempered expectations for me from here on out. Happy with a win, no matter the opponent!
  8. How bout reshaping CFB’a targeting rules after the NBA: common foul, flagrant 1 or flagrant 2, with an ejection only for the F2 varietal, ie with an intent element?
  9. Lane Effin Kiffin? (searches for Jim Carey about to vomit gif) Talk about a deal with the devil. Throwing out all that MC is good at (chiefly, developing character in young men) in exchange for the one thing he is lacking (chiefly, 45+ point a game)? No thanks!
  10. Anyone remember the last time we had a first year starting QB decline in productivity over the course of the year? That’s right: last year with Shough. Are Oregon’s QB problems systemic?
  11. Tony Gonzalez was a significant contributor —a starter if I recall correctly—for Cal basketball at 6’5”. Julius Peppers played for UNC as a reserve but is 6’7.” Both obviously freak athletes. Don’t believe Armstead saw much time if any on the court. Could JT run the court like Gonzales and Peppers, and like Altman requires with switching defenses and presses? My take is he’d have to lose 15-20 lbs and play as a TE or WDE. Which would be fine by me if anyone comes asking!
  12. To sue UO for negligence one would have to prove that UO created a foreseeable risk of harm and failed to act reasonably to prevent that risk. There are also defenses that would apply, such as contributory negligence and “unclean hands.” If a plaintiff’s own negligence contributed more than 50% to the injury they’d be barred from recovering any damages. So I’d say a non-vaccinated fan who contracted Covid at Autzen would have a hard time recovering anything from UO under these circumstances. I know I wouldn’t take the case.
