Wilner has, assuming he can stay healthy, Washington DE Zion Tupuola-Fetui , as a first rounder, other than that only Sewell.

Could Ty Thompson be the No. 3 Quarterback?
Darren Perkins replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
From Canzano via Twitter: Nick Aliotti ranked the Oregon Ducks' QBs just off the spring game performances: 1. Bo Nix 2. Jay Butterfield 3. Ty Thompson I do believe we will have two years of Nix followed by a Butterfield campaign. Thompson hits the portal. -
(And believe me, I wanted to use a much stronger word than "clueless" in the title.) So, apparently Taggart has continued his Dawn Patrol workouts at his current school, Florida Atlantic. And, it has resulted in a player once again ending up in the hospital. This player testified in the current Doug Brenner lawsuit, though it was deemed inadmissible. But, after all the hassle these workouts have caused Taggart, why on earth would you want to do them again? Mind boggling. Former Florida Atlantic player claims to have performed similar ‘dawn patrol’ workouts involved in civil case of Doug Brenner vs. UO, Willie Taggart, NCAA; testimony ruled inadmissible WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Jaden Gold’s testimony was ruled inadmissible by judge Clara Rigmaiden under Oregon state...

Yup, that's why I brought up Tua vs Mac Jones. -

Yeah, athleticism is great, but gotta be able to read defenses and make accurate throws, could be Butterfield is ahead in this area. -

No doubt, it's open competition at this point, but interesting to see how things are being handled by Lanning. -

Totally agree, but the idea of Thompson falling to 3rd hasn't really crossed the minds of Duck fans, so just wanted to peeps to be prepared for anything. ; ) -

But, do we really know if he is better than Butterfield? He may be the more gifted athlete but first and foremost a QB has to be able to pass the football, which is something Butterfield is good at, so I've heard. -

Agree, it could be whole lot about nothing. But man, it sure gives us stuff to talk about!! -
Could Ty Thompson be the No. 3 Quarterback?
Darren Perkins replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Agree. If we had anyone other than MC as coach last year, then we'd feel comfortable saying the Thompson didn't play because he wasn't ready, but we learned to question MC's offensive decision making. But, it may well be that Mario was correct in not playing Thompson last year. -

Nix has been at a qb at football factory in the SEC, and it could be how they are handling themselves in meeting, intangibles, etc., etc.Plus, we have a new coach, so everyone is new to him. -
The Transfer Portal: Embrace It or Drive Yourself Mad

Yeah, ya gotta keep it real, don't wanna lose your team because you are playing politics. -

I agree with what you are saying, but, what if Thompson just really isn't doing well in practice? If he's playing more like a not ready for prime time 3-star recruit who no coach would start. It's not the coaching, it is him. I have no idea, but we just don't know. -
Altman Needs to Find Alpha Dogs
Darren Perkins replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
He's not going pro (maybe overseas in a lower league, i suppose) so why not hang out for another year of free college?! I would. Of course, as an embittered middle-aged man reflecting upon his youth, I suppose that's easy for me to say. Haha! : ) -

Yeah, this is the worst it gets under Altman, we're spoiled now compared to the past. -

Agree, he's getting the role players seasoned, just need "the guy." -
As a kid, I do remember in 1984 the Mac Court faithful chanting "NIT! NIT! NIT!" during the Ducks' final home game as they were NIT bound. Their first post season of any kind in forever, so It was very exciting at the time..... they lost to Santa Clara in The Pit in the first round ☺.

How About Marcus Mariota Taking Over for Russell Wilson?
Darren Perkins replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'm as Seahawks fan, in my heart a "yes" for Marcus, but in my head a "no." Just hasn't quite played well enough. I'm actually pretty high on The Mustache, Gardiner Minshew. -
He is the prime age group to get Mono. That's when I got it ☺
-
Www.baldfacedtruth.com Says he will continue to write on his own, with particular focus on the Pac-12. He is now "unencumbered." Watch out! I'm sure a pay wall looms.

Red Flags are Flying on Kayvon Thibodeaux
Darren Perkins replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ah, gotcha! Sometimes I lose track, lol. Thanks. And, he may have been playing hurt, and as others have said, the team as whole seemed to let up down the stretch as the questions surrounding MC began to come into play. -

Very true, if Thibs had a different coach at Oregon, none of these issues may have arisen. -

I hear ya on society. Am I losing it? Did i say he took a game off? There is a feeling by some pundits (like Canzano) that he "disappered" at times.
