  1. Very true. And it didn't seem like those who had worked under MC left the working relationship on great terms.
  2. Agree about the expansion. And, the Pac-12 can always attempt to expand down the line, best GK get his footing under him first before doing anything rash.
  3. Good call. I think he'll learn the sideline quickly.
  4. Yes, good timing with Oregon, USC, and UW seemingly on the rise.
  5. For sure, on the upcoming tv deal, but definitely feel better with him making the deal than Larry.
  6. I'm not sure what he could have done to entice the Big 10 (who opted to stick to 9 conference games instead of dropping to 8 for Alliance games), but dang, it would be nice if they would.
  7. Thanks, Charles. Ya know, naming names it just too easy, we all love a "mystery." ; )
  8. Going from MC to DL is a big step in the right direction.
  9. Yep, should definitely help with recruiting as well.
  10. It does mean more down there, it's in the culture, and that's fine, it is who they are and the Pac-12 will never match the SEC. It does give the Ducks the chance to sell itself as the most SEC-type school out west. Thankfully, not all recruits wanna' go down south, many would prefer to go/stay on the west coast, so it's a great opportunity for the Ducks.
  11. Yeah, ouch, crappy. Next year with the Ducks vs Trojans there will be several more.
  12. Wilner has, assuming he can stay healthy, Washington DE Zion Tupuola-Fetui , as a first rounder, other than that only Sewell.
  13. 2022 draft picks by conference SEC: 65 Big Ten: 48 Big 12: 25 Pac-12: 25 ACC: 21
  14. From Canzano via Twitter: Nick Aliotti ranked the Oregon Ducks' QBs just off the spring game performances: 1. Bo Nix 2. Jay Butterfield 3. Ty Thompson I do believe we will have two years of Nix followed by a Butterfield campaign. Thompson hits the portal.
  15. (And believe me, I wanted to use a much stronger word than "clueless" in the title.) So, apparently Taggart has continued his Dawn Patrol workouts at his current school, Florida Atlantic. And, it has resulted in a player once again ending up in the hospital. This player testified in the current Doug Brenner lawsuit, though it was deemed inadmissible. But, after all the hassle these workouts have caused Taggart, why on earth would you want to do them again? Mind boggling. Former Florida Atlantic player claims to have performed similar ‘dawn patrol’ workouts involved in civil case of Doug Brenner vs. UO, Willie Taggart, NCAA; testimony ruled inadmissible WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Jaden Gold’s testimony was ruled inadmissible by judge Clara Rigmaiden under Oregon state...
  16. Yup, that's why I brought up Tua vs Mac Jones.
  17. Yeah, athleticism is great, but gotta be able to read defenses and make accurate throws, could be Butterfield is ahead in this area.
  18. No doubt, it's open competition at this point, but interesting to see how things are being handled by Lanning.
  19. Would have been nice to see others get some PT.
  20. Totally agree, but the idea of Thompson falling to 3rd hasn't really crossed the minds of Duck fans, so just wanted to peeps to be prepared for anything. ; )
  21. But, do we really know if he is better than Butterfield? He may be the more gifted athlete but first and foremost a QB has to be able to pass the football, which is something Butterfield is good at, so I've heard.
  22. Agree, it could be whole lot about nothing. But man, it sure gives us stuff to talk about!!
