  1. To get a little philisophical, I believe it is easier in life to be too agressive and then pull the reigns back on that and be more level-headed, THAN it is to be a wimp and force yourself to be more aggressive. So, Lanning has that going for him.
  2. Yeah, they knew with a cold Thompson in that the Ducks weren't going to pass, which maybe the Ducks should have, but that's just second guessing. As I noted, the vibe was just not right, and hence agree with you 100% that the play was dead before the slip.
  3. Yes, I don't put it on Thompson, he was in a tough spot. But, I just couldn't help the bad, bad feeling I had before the failure on 4th down. The stars were definitely not aligned in my world.
  4. The Ducks left a solid 11 points on the table in the first half, those points probably woulda came in hand at the end of the game. There was the fumble at the 1-yard line, and earlier they had a bad penalty that made them kick a field goal instead of getting a TD. This happens, but the fumble at the 1 really got me because they were being cute in their formation and lost track of the play clock.
  5. Can't really disagree. Turnovers, untimely penalties, questionable coaching decisions, pourus D. It had all the ingredients of an upset.
  6. If I recall correctly, Nix had been knocked out when it came to the 4th down at the 8, so I get, and that was like a 4th and 3 or 4 if i recall correctly. Thompson hasn't exactly instilled confidence when he has played.
  7. Yeah, if Bo was back in I would have felt a lot better about it. I understand why he went for it, but man was that risky.
  8. Thanks! Yes, it's nice to write on Monday with a day after the game to think level-headed. Such a tough loss.
  9. Thank you. Gotta keep the sense of humor up or we'll all go crazy!
  10. I didnt't know what to expect. But, "we" playeed up to out talent, getting "coached up" no "coached down."
  11. That 60 yard bomb (or so) got me jumping up and down.... good times are here again!
  12. That would be nice, it will be a wild one.
  13. And our D will have a lot to say how DTR plays. I'd like to see him get hit hard (legally) and rattled early.
  14. Nice breakdown. Would nice to tOSU and Alabama lose a couple regular season games, but we know how that ususally goes.
  15. Yup, still a long way to go, starting with Chip this Saturday.
  16. Agree. And, it seems like he wasn't coached correctly at Auburn, which contributed to his mistakes there.
  17. It'll be fun to see how it goes down this Saturday, for sure!
  18. But, what if it is Obi-Wan vs Anakin Skywalker? The more experienced one wins.... Ok, we've dorked out pretty hard here on Star Wars. 🤣
  19. Ummm... Math wasn't my best area of study, but I believe as a team that would be a 1% improvement. Which is better than regressing, so there is that.
  20. Giving Chip a couple weeks to prepare probably doesn't working in our favor. Ducks are the better team but are going have to show up.
  21. I've said it before, and I hate to say because I love the old stadium. But, I think it would benefit the Bruins to move to So-Fi Stadium. It's easier to access from Westwood for the fans and I just think it would draw a larger crowd and have more of a gameday buzz.... unfortunately, it would probably mean the end of the Rose Bowl stadium.
  22. Yup, get after the QB and try to contain the run game. UCLA much better run team than AZ, it will be a challenge. The offense is going to need to put up at least 40 as I think UCLA will put up some points.
  23. Agree. The Ducks SHOULD win, but they will need to bring their A-game, for sure.
  24. Remember, if you are over 30 and don't like them, odds are a 17 year old recruit does.
