This is THREE big recruits that decided on Oregon over Texas at the end? Whew!

This was primarily an Ohio State, Oregon and Texas battle. To pull a 5-Star out of Texas from the Longhorns? And this is not when they're down! Sark had them in the final four last year, and is ranked in the top-ten this year, with it evident the program is on the rise. This kind of verbal is so damn hard to pull off...wowsa. He also had offers from Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and USC. Sure, I won't tell anyone that you're a DUCK!

My friends....regardless of the result....RELISH IT, as Oregon is in the thick of recruiting Rivals 5-Stars against the elites have 'Nattys to their credit. Frankly, I did not think we would be in this position until next year, after a great 2024 season. But Dano is always ahead of me...

While it is not a guarantee, those of us who have followed recruiting over the last 20+ years know that verbals come through about 95% of the time. It is common we lose a verbal or two, and then turn a committed verbal or two elsewhere our direction. One reason this could be a biggie, is because it solidifies our position as a place where 5-Stars go...especially since we are finalists for a few others like no other year.

My Duck-Buddies....while this recruiting stuff is silly, it does influence the future of Oregon football, and frankly--we are winning so much that regardless of today's result--it is still fun football gossip to follow!

The announcement may now have been moved up to 5:00 PM? Texas Fans....waiting just fine.

Some in Austin are throwing in the towel, and--I can't make this stuff up!

"Spent a few minutes on the Texas board, and you could have changed the site’s name and colors and convinced me they were USC fans. Good grief are they a bunch of whiners.
