The fact is....the damn Trojans still have NINE players of 13 verbals who are 4/5-Stars with Rivals, and with a usual finish--they will have a top 15 class, if not higher. No need for them to panic. I'm sure Lincoln will figure it out...

The Reality of NIL in CFB Recruiting Today
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great article David, and in the end...."haters are gonna hate" on Oregon. If money was the sole reason for choosing Oregon, and we truly had an unlimited budget--then we would get ALL the 5-Star guys, and our class would be better than tOSU's class. Oregon has always had money, brand, and NIKE associated with us, but the difference is Dan Lanning, and... ...that is making other teams concerned and taking notice. -

Oregon Football: The Next Superpower
Charles Fischer replied to Babyjesus615's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You know, when actual negative stuff happens...then we discuss, foment, and deal with it as usual in this forum. (Such as losing to Washington) But not enjoying things until the 'Natty happens? Then when we do win one...we can lament how we did not enjoy the journey? Oh, my... -

Oh Yeah,...Celebrate this Baby! -
Not only does he have the speed for the edge, but FishDuck Photographer Tom Corno, (Paid for by the ads on the pages) was perfectly positioned to capture the touchdown with a perfect Oregon background. This photo is my screensaver on my main computer at home. We will see more of this, as he is truly a hybrid player between WR and TE.

My many Duck-Buddies, We have an incredible new feature available to our Duck News Hunters, and to all members and readers of the Our Beloved Ducks forum. When you click on the new link on the menu bar at the top of the site where is says, News (see green arrow above) you will have a page open up with tons of links to the sites that our Duck News Hunters go to search for articles to bring to you. We also have links directly to the Topic Threads that you may want to check back, and read articles within that topic--and they are available to everyone, no membership required. Those Topic Threads have been updated in order over time, thus you can spend your whole day reading and basking in Duck Glory. There is NO SITE anywhere that provides all the news articles that we do on the OBD forum, and I know this because I personally checked all of them. The subscription sites offer a few bits and pieces, but not they, not anyone offers the incredible volume of Oregon Sports News that the OBD forum does. And we provide it for you for free? The Challenge at the Forum... We lost Kim (Pennsylvania Duck) earlier this year, and NJDuck is doing a Herculean job without her, but there are not enough hours in the day for him to continue to serve all of us. Could you volunteer to help our a half-hour to forty minutes a few times a week posting articles? It is actually fun to do, and we have figured out how to keep the commitment to the 30-40 minutes per shift, and not the couple of hours that Joe and Kim were doing. Can you help us? As you recall, the two FishDuck sites serve over a quarter-million people a year, thus your volunteer work will help thousands of fellow Duck fans stay updated, and it will be very satisfying for you as well. Email Charles Fischer at charles@fishduck.com and I'll give you more information. It is easy work, and yet impacts so many. Our shifts are early morning starting anytime between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM PST, with the mid-day shift at 11:00 AM PST, and a final one at 2:30 PST. At minimum, we need people who can fill in for when someone gets sick, goes on vacation, etc. Can you spare some time to benefit other readers of this wonderful forum? I would like to continue providing all the news and articles, especially going into such a special season, but NJDuck cannot do it alone. Jump in, and be a part of the staff that serve so many! My thanks, Charles

Oregon's Recruiting Success: "...the Quiet Part Out Loud."

Recruits have to be convinced of the TOTAL PACKAGE any school offers. Oregon, Phil, and NIKE have already been there supporting Duck Athletics for a long time, but the final aspect that is putting us over-the-top is Dan Lanning. He is someone everyone is comfortable with, yet it is clear he is the boss. His hirings have been outstanding, and been a big part of this surge in recruiting. Ra'Shad Samples was responsible or highly involved in BOTH our 5-Star commits, and how long has he been here? Killer-hire by Lanning... It is not just the money, and it feels like Lanning has put together what Oregon fans would call a "Sweet Spot" for recruiting, while our opponents would call it "the Perfect Storm." -

It has already been stated on other sites that Oregon coaches will call other opposing coaches to confirm the NL offer, as sometimes what the recruit is saying is simply bluster. I have to assume to assume that written within the NIL contract is a non-disclosure clause? Penalties for blabbing? -
Oregon's Recruiting Success: "...the Quiet Part Out Loud."
Charles Fischer replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The insiders at other Oregon sites insist that we are not the top NIL bidder every time, thus why we do not have every 5-Star out there. But we do have a very organized NIL in Division Street, and even USC fans admit that their NIL program has the money but not the organization or total package that Oregon offers. The coaches emphasize to these recruits the total benefits of playing at Oregon, and it is not all money. Evidence are players who have received NIL at Oregon and playing their heart out. In fact I would describe this team as "hungry" and quite a few have a comfortable NIL, and yet will give their best. It is not so bad.
