  1. Not to me, as they simply do not have the offense that outscores us even if their defense does hold us down a bit. I was really concerned about Washington State, and rightly so. We were lucky to escape!
  2. His weakness was catching the ball out of the backfield, but Bucky seems to have solved that!
  3. No, but it was pretty darned important and helped to change a very important game. Damn these guys are gutsy! Whew!
  4. I know...I got a thing with alliteration. --Fourth largest Autzen crowd ever at 59,962? I did not know it could go to almost 60,000! --17th straight conference win at home, a program record. --Tied the program record for 23 straight wins at home among all games. --Sole leader of the Pac-12 with no losses. --Rushed for over 200 yards for 5th time this season. --Did not allow a sack versus the Bruins. --Bruins led the Pac-12 for rushing defense...until this game! --Bruins only had SEVEN possessions the entire game? Whew! --Bo Nix had an incredible day with five touchdown passes. --Oregon held UCLA to their lowest point output all season. --You want offensive balance? 283 passing and 273 on the ground. Whew! --Cam Lewis is a perfect eight-for-eight this season in field goals. This team is not perfect, but there are a ton of things going right.
  5. It sure feels that way on offense with such a big victory, and the way it was done. Coach Dillingham wanted an efficient offense this season, and boy we are seeing it. A punter boycott?
  6. There are those who do not want to see anymore of Cristobal, and my advice is...don't open the thread and read it! I will continue to allow it because... 1) It is fun. 2) It is entertaining. 3) It makes us grateful-as-hell he is no longer here!
  7. Great game day thread, and now let’s start up new threads of discussion… Thanks
  8. Some items to watch for in this game? Read my article published this morning for three tasty tidbits to keep an eye out for... Will Dillingham Surprise UCLA...With a Chip Kelly Play? FISHDUCK.COM There are some interesting items to watch for in this game today against UCLA, as if there was not enough drama associated with this Pac-12 showdown.
  9. Sabrina has become very poised and confident on camera--she really did well!
  10. Here we are my friends, the thread for discussing the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discussion. Rule No. 31d covers GameDay thread conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  11. It is also possible that Brandon Dorlus is making a transition to a position better suited to the NFL, as many teams are implementing the 4-0-4 defensive alignment I discuss in today's FishDuck article right here. But I am guessing, as what I suspect is that Lanning is installing his defense, and trying to make the players fit until he gets his prototypes for each position? An example is Noah Sewell; as none of the Georgia linebackers were as big as him. In fact the star LB for the Bulldogs was only 217 lbs., as Lanning likes his linebackers lean, fast and athletic for pass rushing and pass coverage. But again...I am guessing about the position. But I will have an analysis about Dorlus in the near future...
  12. WATCH Talkin' Ducks: Jordan Kent, Joey Harrington, Anthony Newman and Aaron Fentress Topics Discussed Include: -Kelly is back and Oregon could be in trouble. -What Bo Nix must bring to this game? -How will UO handle UCLA’s rushing attack. -A look around the Pac-12. -Game predictions.
  13. Steve Smith, who we know as "Steven A." and his wife Carol were up in Eugene for the game, festivities surrounding his 50th Class Reunion at Oregon and a visit to the FishDuck ManCave. Carol helped manage the law office of Steve in Modesto, California that had a focus upon Estate Planning. They are happily retired now, and Steven A is a core member of the Our Beloved Ducks Forum, in addition to going a long way back with the original FishDuck article site. After all these years of talking on the phone, emails and texts...it was great to meet these wonderful people. I love this community! Carol and Steve Smith The "KING" of one-liners in the forum!
  14. It is nice to get back into the big-time of media interviews as Coach Lanning is on the Jim Rome Show...
  15. My FishDuck Friends, if you are not using the "Game-Prep Article Thread" every week...then you are missing out BIG-TIME! All the articles of value (and curated for the least amount of redundancy) through the week about our upcoming game is in that thread. Pennsylvania Duck began this fantastic new feature about a month ago, and now between her and NJDuck (and others helping) we have an incredible 70 articles in that thread to choose from? No where else has this, and instead of starting 70 new threads--they have them all in one convenient thread! Look for this every week, and you will notice that these extraordinary Duck News Hunters create other content threads of a particular topic and place them all in it. When you find something that pertains to a topic in a thread....put the article in that thread for the benefit of the community. The hours these volunteers put in for us all...whew!
  16. It is amazing how much we learn from Alan...that opening day attendance for UCLA? How embarrassing! These articles make football season so much more fun...THANK YOU Alan!
  17. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus UCLA? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without all the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count as I am not going to hunt them all down. I am no longer going to PM three or four people who don't read directions each week. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 45-27, 2, 3, 303
  18. It is not a photo that you would find anywhere, because I made it as a screenshot off of a converted television broadcast to MP4. I do a lot of these for both the writers in the articles, and for instances like this!
  19. Completely agree--it has been amazing! Keep it going coaches! Coach Lanning and Coach Klemm
  20. I did not mean for this thread to come to everyone's attention, but when I added a post to it--it then automatically goes to the top of the first page. What is above actually applies to very few people, and I really don't want to people to feel constrained from posting for fear of "breaking a rule." If you are "polite and respectful," you won't have any problem posting. The post No. 22 above is an update, so if I ever send someone the link of this thread asking them to consider "cheering up a bit," it is updated to reflect what has happened. The fear of the portal (as you see in Post No. 22 above) turned out not to be an extreme negative to be fearful of for Oregon, but a strength. Where would we be right now without Taki Taimani, Casey Rogers, Jordon Riley, Christian Gonzalez, Chase Cota, Noah Whittington, Bucky Irving and Bo Nix! Whew! Our worries were unfounded, and in fact we killed the portal. Go Ducks!
  21. He has got to be loving what he is seeing; before it was Dilly's promise, but now he watch nearly 50 points a game...
  22. What surprises will both coaches bring to this game? With two weeks?
  23. I hate to write it, but the Husky coach has done a heck of a job. While the jury is still out on them--they have looked much better thus far than I thought they would.
  24. This does make a ton of sense; beat Wyoming in the first game instead of playing Georgia, and we might be No. 5 in the nation. But would we be as good a team?
