Is That RIGHT? Prime Kicks Off a Player in Front of Team?

It is apparent to me, that we would all need a lot more background information in terms of how Deon set up expectations with the rules, what was stated to the team previously, and what was discussed with the offending player. We are making snap judgments with an incomplete picture, and this discussion really pulled that out.

Is That RIGHT? Prime Kicks Off a Player in Front of Team?

I am so torn on this; I think you make a great point, as part of teaching young men is demonstrating a class way of holding yourself. Yet doing it in public can make discipline a whole lot easier in the future.

Is That RIGHT? Prime Kicks Off a Player in Front of Team?

Interesting thing to ponder as things are slow; does it make sense to you to kick a player off the team in front of the entire team? Below is a video of Prime while at Jackson State, where he did kick a player off at a team meeting. On one hand, I think it is in terrible taste...an example of Coach Sanders being about "me" again. I do not recall other coaches anywhere doing this. On the other hand..... I've learned that the player had three violations of team rules, and frankly--I've also learned that the other members of a community need to know you mean business about your rules. Doing so in public can deliver that message. I see Pros and Cons to this one. Your thoughts?

Stanford President Steps Down. Will This Delay Media Deal?

Frankly...what can academic Presidents add to the discussion anyway? I understand the pecking order, but I maintain that the ADs are the ones who should be in the room.

Brett McMurphy: Pac-12 Deal to be Presented to Chancellors and Presidents Thursday

ESPN says no announcement of a media deal on Friday to the public...but that does not mean the Pac-12 Presidents won't get an update on Thursday. But then...

Blah, Blah Blah, Pac 12 Media Deal to be Announced "In the Near Future", But Not Friday/Media Day

You are enjoying this way-too-much for a team that has not even played in the Big-12 yet. We have had this from fans like you for a year. My patience is short...

Do you really think Oregon‘s national exposure is going to decline with the new contract? Do you think any of us here are actually worried about that? 🙄 Go Troll somewhere else.

'New Entrants' to Pac-12 Media Deal per Canzano

I think this is another example of some people looking for the negative, "no announcement-again this week." While I think the information above is pretty uplifting! But there will always be....

'New Entrants' to Pac-12 Media Deal per Canzano

My Duck-Buddies--this is sounding better-and-better! Canzano wrote that 'a conference source,' told him that the negotiations have been “advanced and productive” and a deal is in “the near future." “We’ve had very productive negotiations,” the source told John. “New entrants have come in. We’re feeling good and our schools will be rewarded for their patience.” One thing is evident: The Pac-12 is seeing numbers it likes, has some new partners at the table, and believes a deal is near. “All the schools are together,” the source said. With a new deal signed that is superior to the Big-12, and the Pac-12 becomes the first conference to have a large presence on streaming, we will all be pleased....

Who is WITH ME? An OBD Get-Together to Meet!

You know...it has been suggested to me that those of us who do NOT have tickets, (I split my tickets, and he has the USC tickets) consider meeting to watch the game together, and THAT would be fun. It could make your trip worthwhile if you don't get tickets, and might match the objective of others. Those who are NOT OBD members, but are simply readers are also welcome to these events. I will know more in two months...

What Are Realistic Expectations for Oregon in 2023?

Of course. These predictions are in our own green-colored fantasies.... But consider this; without one play of running the QB between the tackles...Oregon would have gone 11-1 last year with a crappy defense! I think we will be MUCH better on defense this year, so how would that bode?

What? Oregon Has One of CFB's EASIEST Schedules?

Look, I've respected the work of PFF in the past....but this is classic east-coast-never-watched-the-games-ignoring-five-in-the-top-25 garbage. It makes me much more skeptical of their work going forward...
