2021 Duck Football: The Most Entertaining Oregon Team EVER?
Completely agree. I will admit to being stumped as to what to call this crazy set of frustrations and joy...and as a publisher I am reminded to NOT place a question in the title that can be answered without reading the article. Tons of people are not reading it, and that is my fault with the title. A shame, because there are some stats in there that I thought some members here would pounce on for discussion.

Tell Me: Your Feelings After the Glow of Victory...
....about those uniforms? I love the tough win over a noble foe, but I still cannot help but wince when I see some of the pictures. And the heck of it is--the pictures are beautiful, so well done but I cannot get past those darn ugly uniforms. Your take now on them?

Paopao Named to Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List
(Press Release from Oregon Athletics) EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon sophomore guard Te-Hina Paopao was one of 20 players named to the preseason watch list for the Nancy Lieberman Award, given annually to the top point guard in the nation. Paopao is coming off of a freshman season in which she earned All-Pac-12 honors while also being named to the all-freshman team. She became just the fifth UO player ever to receive first-team all-conference recognition and the first since Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard in 2016-17. Paopao averaged 10.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while leading the team with 4.4 assists per contest and shooting 39.5 percent (30-for-76) from three-point range. The Oceanside, Calif. native led all freshmen nationally and finished fourth overall in the Pac-12 with a 2.40 assist-to-turnover ratio. Her 84 assists last year were also the eighth-most in school history by a freshman and her 4.4 assists per game ranked fourth overall in the conference. Paopao turned in 11 double-digit scoring performances, highlighted by a 22-point effort on the road against No. 15 Oregon State on Dec. 13. All of her double-figure scoring games came in Pac-12 play as she averaged 11.4 points per game and shot 40.6 percent from three-point range in conference contests. Paopao missed the final five games of the season due to injury. Paopao will look to become the second Oregon player to win the Nancy Lieberman Award and join Ionescu, who won it three straight years from 2018-20. Head coach Kelly Graves also coached the 2011 winner Courtney Vandersloot while at Gonzaga. The watch list for the award will be narrowed down to 10 in mid-February before five finalists are selected in March ahead of the award presentation at the end of the season.

Believe it? Mario says, "We’re just scratching the surface on the passing game"
I am a firm believer in a balanced offense, so I love reading this stuff. But do I believe it? This is the guy who told us that we would run the offense that "Oregon fans love," and that "the offense has to change," (in 2018) yet I want to believe it. Is he learning? Or is he snookering opposing coaches? THE MORNING AFTER; OREGON PASSING ATTACK ON POINT AGAINST UCLA by Warren Williamson of Oregon Duck Football News

Mario Scolds Fans: "No More Booing at Autzen"
I am going to lock this thread. I locked another thread because someone there did precisely what we see above from Mudslide...and we DO NOT DO HERE. You do not insult a group of people because you disagree with their view. See No. 2 of the rules. If you cannot make your point without denigrating others--then either don't post or I will delete and then ban all who attempt to.

Oregon's Defense: Stats DO Lie...
Oregon's defensive stats look...undesirable, but the key element are turnovers (done well at) and points allowed. At 22.40 points per game allowed--the defense is giving the Ducks a real chance at winning.

No Booing Except Bad Ref Calls
My friends, what you see above is an example of what we do NOT do on this site, and there has been a ton of it recently. Normally I deal with this privately, but I think a public example is appropriate with what I've been dealing with. Note what she did; she insulted anyone who disagreed with her, and we don't do that here regardless of the topic. Disagreement is great, but disparaging others to make your point about being classy--doesn't resonate. She is new and did what many do; she ignored the rules or doesn't think they apply to her. Do NOT Throw Group-Shade Everyone please see No. 2 with our rules. Throwing Group-Shade is meant to discourage others from writing an opposing view, and we don't allow it. It would be like me writing that those who write as this person above did is a "Sunshine-Pumper" or a "Cristobal Suck-Up." You have never seen anything like that in anyone's writing on one side, while some of the arguments against booing implied that those who disagree are childlike or uncouth. Belittling and maligning from both sides are not allowed here. Debate, disagree and state your case, but we do not denigrate people in the process. I am starting get pretty annoyed at the time I have to take with this stuff when everything is spelled out.

MC Detractors: Step Right up, Don't be shy ...
rden! Two things, and the first is that I wrote about that a couple of times in posts and in an article. We don't have great alternatives, and I do like so much of what Cristobal brings to it all. I think in some respects...Chip is a better coach, but Mario is better at quite a few other things. His recruiting of coaches was a key component yesterday, as MC's assistants really did a fine job to give us the margin of victory. And second...great to see you make the Duck migration over here! WELCOME! I think I'll pass on this guy....

Ducks Up Three Spots To No. 7 In AP Poll
(Press Release from Oregon Athletics) EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team moved up three spots to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press top-25 poll released on Sunday morning. The Ducks are also up two spots to No. 8 in the new AFCA Coaches poll. The lone Pac-12 team to be ranked in either poll, Oregon is 6-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play following a big 34-31 win against UCLA on Saturday at the Rose Bowl. The Ducks have now been ranked in the top 10 of both polls for seven consecutive weeks, earning their highest ranking in either poll since coming in at No. 3 in both on Sept. 26. Oregon will return home this Saturday to host Colorado in Autzen Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 12:35 p.m. PT kickoff on FOX, with Aaron Goldsmith (play-by-play) and Brock Huard (analyst) on the call.

Let's List the POSITIVES from the Game!
I am sorry to have started that thread about booing as it is truly cold-water on a great day. I was not at the games at Autzen and did not boo, but have my frustrations with the coach. I am actually indifferent to the topic, but thought the discussion would be good as the veteran fans that we are. So let's move on... There were so many great aspects of yesterday's game. Let's list them to give us perspective and what to look for in the final five games? I'll start... --The coaches had a passing game plan that threw the ball downfield extensively. --DJ James has pulled out of his and everyone's doghouse and now has the confidence we need from a corner. --The offensive line has been lights-out for all their injuries. --The technique used by the defensive linemen to defeat a great offensive line--was extraordinary. What are yours?

Mario Scolds Fans: "No More Booing at Autzen"
I am going to politely disagree. “Hey, no more booing at Autzen. I don’t want to hear that sh**," Cristobal said on a video ESPN posted to its Instagram page.

Mario Scolds Fans: "No More Booing at Autzen"
Fans do not boo flippantly; they do it after watching repeated blunders over three years. It took a TON to get Autzen booing, Mario--ever think about that? You know....the solution is pretty simple, and it doesn't have anything to do with the fans...
