  1. Great article, and so encouraging about his coaching skills matching up with Oregon's talent--love it!

  3. That is a short video of only 97 seconds and has Ahmad Rashad retelling the great Oregon win over UCLA in 1970...so fun and thanks!

  6. Yes, we have a thread below about Jaylon Redd, and I will be writing about Oregon's Final Push for 2021 recruiting in a Sunday article on FishDuck.

  8. Your research in providing evidence to your points is impressive, and boy...that is as bad as I feared. Thank goodness it is Oregon who is up there!
  9. Fantastic point with the February National LOI day coming up!
  10. Going to be a fun battle at 5:00 PM today on the Pac-12 Channel!
  11. I believe there are 127 D-1 teams and Rivals only gives a ranking to the top 100, and they aren't in it! You can see yourself here, and note how the Beavs are out-recruited by such powerhouses as Ball State and East Carolina. I do have to admit that they are doing really well with the transfer portal...former 4-Stars they could never recruit out of high school and many of those brought in the last two years improved them to where the un-thinkable happened in Reser this year.
  12. You make my emails to offenders seem pretty benign now! Made me smile again...
  13. Sorry Duckpop, but I think I like the girl better....
  14. Excellent article and superb information AnotherOD....you are killing it these days and THANKS. Tim DeRuyter was the coach of Fresno State when the Bulldogs came to Autzen Stadium in 2012 with Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota at QBs, although De'Anthony Thomas had a big day.
  15. I think that Justin Hopkins at ScoopDuck.com explained it well when he admitted that Coach DeRuyter is not the sexy pick for Oregon's DC. But his defenses have performed well and what you have seen at Cal is his work primarily and not that of Justin Wilcox. JHop was early in on Tim DeRuyter as one of the main candidates and has consistently placed him as one, if the not the most likely DC successor. ScoopDuck is a subscription site, but the information provided in recruiting and topics such as this make it quite worthwhile. (I urge everyone to support all three of the subscription Oregon sites ScoopDuck, 247-Duck Territory, and Duck Sports Authority, as they provide information that major media does not and later rips off of without giving credit....something I know about well.)
  16. Come this June, the Pac-12 will purchase one final plane ticket for current Commissioner Larry Scott, and it will be a one-way ticket to anywhere but here. Thank goodness. While Scott did bring the Pac-12 up to date and into the 2000s (His predecessor Tom Hansen had fallen woefully behind the times) with marketing and branding, it became ... 17. The wonderful part about it from my perspective? Once someone new has made the "adaption," then it becomes easy for them and I have very little moderating to do. Of course when we do we jump on it right away, and actually take action--but I rarely now have to resort to that because of this superb community that I enjoy. Some are now beginning to realize that this is the one site to come to if you have an opinion that is waaaay out on the spectrum, away from the usual. Because no matter how far-out the opinion is....everyone still has to be nice to you. And for the rest of us--seeing those out-of-the-mainstream views can help us come to a more reasonable stance with our own opinions.
  18. Thanks, and this is going to be a blast--having fun already!
  19. John Canzano is not everyone's favorite writer, but I don't link his negative ones. However these are his thoughts about of the Pac-12 Executive Committee in charge of finding a new commissioner and determining the objectives of the conference going forward and duties of the new commissioner. His impression of the Pac-12 Executive Committee: "Smart, tuned in, and a big-time Pacific Northwest feel." A Pac-12 Commissioner Candidate?
  20. Good article, and it is refreshing to read. It makes me wonder if the next step for the Chargers is huge, or if it can be made this offseason with enough draft picks, trades or free-agent signings? Yeah....I like a lot of pictures from this game!
  21. Experience counts, and I would like to think this will help overall. The article is right here, and what are your thoughts?
  22. Whoa. This is a great article with tons of information--not only about the JTT recruitment, but many other aspects of recruiting. More Instagram followers of Oregon than Ohio State and Alabama put together? Whew!
  23. I LOVE that ball movement as it creates easier shots; Graves is great about teaching the penetration of the defense and then kicking it to an open cutter or shooter. When I grew up in Corvallis...no teams passed the ball as crisply as Ralph Miller teams. Now...they had other issues, but won a ton and a big reason was his insistence on not dribbling but passing and doing so quickly.
  24. IMHO....you cannot end up in the Top 15 consistently in wins/results if you do not average at least a No. 20 ranking in recruiting. But the bottom line is that we have to perform on the field as OSU and Cal should not have beat us--as you know. Interesting that Chip Kelly is No. 3 in the conference? That is quite a change from the recent past...
  25. Boy! Eight players? I guess it is best against the Beavs, as we have a better chance to win than against Arizona, but darn--if we lose? How lucky can OSU get?
