Detailed Historical Breakdown of the DeRuyter Defense

For those who know of hythloday1 on Addicted to Quack, you are aware of his detailed analysis of games and opponents. While I do not always agree with him, I do respect the monster amount of time and work devoted for us fans, and for free. Below is an analysis you better carve out a ton of time for, as it is not casual reading. I would always love to discuss... Duck Tape: Film Review of DC Tim DeRuyter, Part 1 - Structure, Personnel, and Blitzes, Part 1 by Addicted to Quack Schemes, principles, and history from 25 seasons of tape

Oregon Baseball: THIS Could be THE YEAR

While I know that sounds a bit hard to believe--next year Oregon will not have all the seniors returning or the caliber of players returning due to the MLB draft. The article below is superb in that it goes through the line-up to give us an update and who to watch for. Let's go Baseball Ducks! Where the Oregon Baseball Roster Stands Heading into the 2021 Season by 247Sports Is that the coolest photo ever? SAFE Baby!

Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?

Reading articles about how TB went 7-9 in 2019, but the pieces were there for a good team...if they had good quarterbacking play. (No...GREAT quarterbacking play) It made me ponder how good Oregon could be this fall if we had an experienced, savvy QB running the show? Darron Thomas...don't you have another year of edibility? (Joking!) But the pieces are there for a good team, and it can either be wasted with mediocre QB play or elevated with great QB play. It is a shame, but a reality that QB has a massive disproportionate impact on the entire team. Thoughts?

Prioritizing Recruiting Will Get Oregon to the CFP

Amen Haywarduck, as everyone knows what a passionate fan I am, especially of football. But I call it the way I see it, and the beauty here is being able to...and yet people still have to be nice. (by our rules) What I wrote would have brought about quite a wretched wrath against me on other sites... Or maybe I'm just feeling.....MONDAY.

A New HIRE for Cristobal Might be Soon...

If he was coaching offensive line and tight ends in the past--I doubt this is for the position in the secondary! Probably a quality control or analyst kind of spot?

The Pac-12 is "Irrelevant" Because of OREGON?

Prioritizing Recruiting Will Get Oregon to the CFP

When he made the decision to dump what worked for nine years averaging 43 points a game...."preventing" is precisely what Cristobal did. I am resigned to waiting for enough years and lost games before he learns....

Which College Football Teams are Recruiting the Best at Each Position on Offense in 2021?

Nice to see, but I really don't want to deal with a big company in copyright issues. In the future--let's summarize lightly and offer your opinion, but copy and pasting can get me into trouble. My thanks, Charles P.S. I really appreciate you posting a new topic and would encourage everyone to do so as well!

Recruiting Getting Worse At Oregon State and ASU?

Oregon State is killing it in the transfer portal, and picked up a number of former 4-Star players. It is why their defense improved so much in the last two years... So Coach Smith is using the scholarships for current transfers, and thus not part of the ranking process.
 -

Jace Feely, Oregon kicker commit, flips to AZ State

We have two scholarships left and one is being reserved for JTT, and the other for the transfer portal since it is expected to have a ton of activity in the off-season. If JTT decides elsewhere, then perhaps there is the kicker scholarship?

Mens Basketball Fans: Discuss the SURPRISES Last Night?

One analyst said it well a while back when he said that Altman teams did best when they had a shot-blocker to come from the weak-side on defense. Boucher, Bell and now Kepnang?

Mens Basketball Fans: Discuss the SURPRISES Last Night?

Boy there were a bunch of them that were great to see! But first....was I the only one who thought the game announcers were connected to the Huskies and at times in the first half....you would have thought UW was 13-3 and not the other way around? I did NOT understand the pronunciation of Frank Kepnang's name by them....but the official media guide sent out to us says, that his last name is to be pronounced as, "KEP-nong, as in "song." I don't get where that comes from, but they did have it right. Speaking of the freshman center....he helped to spark a 15-2 run in the first half, where he had seven points, two rebounds, and two blocks during that stretch alone! He finished with eight points in 15 minutes played, and I think he is improving and helping the team much faster than we thought he would! Isn't it wonderful to see Will Richardson rounding into form and how much better the team operates with him in there? He was hitting some threes, making some nice drives on 19 points and five assists and it was a big improvement over his first outing. Could you believe Jalen Terry? We have a new little sniper from the outside--we knew he was quick on drives, but now with 5 threes? And four were in a row that put the game out-of-reach for the Huskies in the second half? Coach Dana Altman said that, "Jalen was just a difference maker there. He's been shooting OK, but to get 5 threes down...I think we would've been struggling right at the (10 point lead cushion) the whole game if it wouldn't have been for Jalen getting hot." Chris Duarte was in a walking boot and Altman believes that since the X-Rays were negative, there is an outside shot he will play this next weekend, and for certain the week after. Eric Williams is expected to be back for the next games. (COVID protocol)

For the Fact-Checkers: Kenjon Barner and Evan Baylis are NOT in the BIG GAME

Goodness I got grief and insults by email when an article here a week ago explained the no Ducks would be on either roster and play in the Super Bowl. Kenjon Barner and Evan Baylis are not on the official Tampa Bay roster, but they are on the Practice Squad. But they will not be on the sidelines later today... NBC Sports Northwest article about it right here....

		Justin Herbert....is that a CARP?

Fun stuff people find, and yes...I think I recall the story of him fishing in a nearby slew and catching Carp--but I'm not positive. It is fun to catch any fish!
